What will happen once we are in scarcity of resources ?
There is already a lot of disparity among nations with regard to assess to basic human necessities like food , water , shelter , clothing and security.
In coming days there will be a lot of problem with regards to access to breathable air and drinkable water .
With increasing commercialisation each of us have to sell something to live . Water , air and food being basic necessities will have a perpetual market will obviously be the next target of the commercial market .
In yesteryears there were alternate methods like hunting , foraging and living in the forests in case of economic embargo by another nation .
Now with globalisation and lack of forests and lifestyle changes it will be impossible to live in case of severe scarcity of basic resources .
This is a alarming fact as a situation like this will lead to a tendency to mass annihilate groups of people to survive with scarce resources. This will lead to major wars .
Wars are counterproductive as it will lead to further depletion of resources .
The best way forward for Humanity is to expand its borders into space . Space has bountiful resources without competition. We can use the basic elements to enrich our life's by producing our basic necessities using advanced technology .
The best will be to unite as humanity and survive than to compete and be destroyed.

Shelter 2100
The world by 2050 will have a lot of competition for space. Compact high rise apartments will be the trend. The principle of sharing space should be promoted.
The basis of these buildings should be that these structures should last atleast 200 years. They should be resistant to earthquake, bad weather and pollution. The principle of rent rather than ownership would be the ideal way ahead.
Adequate sound proofing and ground space for privacy and facilities for pets will encourage a peaceful atmosphere.
Accommodation of 10000 in a limited space will facilitate other areas to be developed into common locations.
The usage of non motorised transport should be encouraged. Fossil fuels used only in case of long distance travel. Public transportation should be encouraged with a good network of the same.
Common nursing homes for elderly and desolate should be community funded.
This will ensure that there is nobody left behind. This will avoid unnecessary conflicts and promote equity.

Farming
Conventional farming has been subject to the perils of pests and weather. In an effort to destroy pests we used pesticides and rendered the soil uncultivatable. Now this has to be undone.
Green houses both in small scale and large scale will be the norm. Sheltered farming will negate the effect of weather and pest. Lighting can be done artificially or by using mirrors aligned to best use sunlight.
All greens can be grown as multiple storey's of crops thereby increasing yield. Smaller shrubs like tomato, potato, cabbage etc can again be grown as multiple storeys.
The trees can be grown as bonsai and shunted varieties to consume less space. All plants can be grown with microdrip irrigation. All organics waste can be dried and converted to compost and used for the plants.
Mushrooms and Soya can be used as protein source and fermented food can be used as B12 source. Adequate fortification of vitamins and minerals can be done.
The space for farming will be best utilised by this method and population will be self reliant. Wheat and Rice and Millers and Corn can also be grown in storey's. Development of less water consuming varieties and disease resistant crops will help.
Hunger and Famine have driven many civilization to do desperate things. It will be best to avoid such morality challenging situation at all costs.

Autonomous Living Area
The basis of the new world order will be ALA(Autonomous Living Area). The ALA will be self reliant for Food, Water, Shelter, Clothing and Security.
The seeds of ALA need to sown today to develop into fully supported systems of tomorrow. Let's us take it bit by bit.
Water - The elixir of Life. The basis of all life on Earth. The source of major impending world conflicts. The avenue for investment that the wealthy have qued up to exploit. So how to make this liquid diamond available and affordable to all.
Average human water usage per day is between 300 to 400 litres. 4 litres for drinking and rest for domestic purposes. So if an ALA has 5000 to 10000 people then 2 million to 4 million litres per day.
So how do we mobilise so much water and that too daily? Well the answer lies below the ground. We have great amount of space underground that can be used as giant tanks. We need to fill the tanks with rain harvesting obviously after removing the chemicals in the initial acid rain.
The drinking water needs to be purified again by Reverse Osmosis and UV purification. Metered water usage will prevent wastage.
The used water needs to be recycled and reused for domestic purposes. Sunlight can be used for disinfection and solar power for purification. Even simple evaporation and condensation is a good process.
In areas close to the Sea, desalination is a good option to fill the Giant underground tanks (GUT). They can also use pipelines inland to replenish the GUT in those areas. It will also be a source of their income.
This process avoids usage of contaminated water for cooking and drinking and preserve the future generation.
The GUT needs to central in the community. A playground can be constructed on top of GUT to facilitate rain water collection. Water recycled can be provided by domestic pipeline.
Water will be the essence to avoid conflicts and if managed properly will go a long way in establishing New World Order by 2100.

We have created a demon called plastic. Bury it in the ground and you lose your food. Burn it you lose good breathable air. Toss it into sea it kills the fishes and ends back on your shore. The solution is to come up with novel recycling ideas.

Three Prong Approach
The 3 rules for the New World Order will be
1. Abolish weapons that have capability of massive demolition from the purview of government usage and stock it with a central civilisation administration to be used in case of threat to entire humanity or civilization.
2. Promote explorative science to look for planets and solar systems to expand our living territory to facilitate debulking our overloaded planet.
3. To decentralise basic necessities like food, water, clothing, shelter and protection to small communities to facilitate better management and avoid poor governance. The central governments can act as monitors, facilitators and appellate authorities.
The aim is to sustain human civilisation without conflict and protect nature to the extent possible.

The Doomsday Clock was created in 1947 to representing how close we are to a global catastrophe. It’s maintained by the members of The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Science and Security Board.
The group of scientists, including 16 Nobel Laureates, announced this morning that we have moved dangerously close to all-out disaster. The Clock’s recent advance to two and a half minutes means that scientists and experts agree that we are teetering on the brink of societal collapse or an apocalyptic scale nuclear war, which symbolically occurs at midnight exactly.
In the years since the Clock was created we have only been this close to midnight once, in 1953 when the Hydrogen Bomb was first tested. Further, the minute hand has only changed nineteen times since the Clocks creation.
This is not an announcement to take lightly or brush off – these scientists are all renowned geniuses in their respective fields and they have never been known to change the Time casually or without very strong reasoning.
To those that are sick of politics and don’t see the point in discussing the current state of the world: THIS is the point. THIS is the result of widespread apathy, lack of education, and disinterest in current events.
Once upon a time Rome was a magnificent and powerful empire, but it still crumbled to the ground at the peak of its glory. As an Archaeology student I can tell you that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
The final sentence in the Doomsday report this morning gave a warning, “Wise public officials should act immediately, guiding humanity away from the brink. If they do not, wise citizens must step forward and lead the way.”

We have become Spendthrifts. We are using up our bank balance left behind as inheritance by Nature without replenishing it. While we may live like kings, our future generation will be paupers fighting over morsels.

What Happens in 2050?
We are all used to a life of plenty. Post World war II life has been smooth. Production has overshot need, thanks to mechanisation. The elite and the educated are able to move around the globe seeking wealth generating opportunities, the poor and needy have benefitted from government schemes (thanks to democracy which makes numbers count). The basic necessities like food, water, clothing, shelter and security are accessible (with little difficulty) and available for most people.
The year 2050 may see the reversal of the same. We would have saturated the world so much that basic necessities will become scarce. Things like water and food which we take as granted will be issues of dispute between people.
When such a situation arises the basic animal in humans that pushes aggression and violence will erupt. The mighty will oppress the meek. The democratic world order will collapse to anarchy. Clans will gather their might to conquer and decimate the rest to establish kingdoms and dominions. The ones who control weapons will be the new world leaders.
Can this be stopped. No, the numbers will rise. The situation is inevitable.
So what is the solution?. Planning from now will be the solution. We ll discuss the same in next few blogs.
