Canon Character References Post 11, Umber

Umber is honestly just, a character. He exists, he had some thoughts in MR, he found Clay in TDP, he filled a role. Just, never been a big fan of his, and was a character I overlooked when reading through the series. While, yeah, he filled his role, but it feels cheap to just get rid of him in MR along with Carnelian, to me it just feels like a way for Tui to get the main cast count to six for Arc 2. Honestly, it probably was lmao, but it's understandable enough I guess.

Canon Character References Post 10, Luna

Luna! In all honestly I do not have much to say about her. She was barely present for the beginning of Arc 3 and I have yet to read TFoH so I can't really give a full opinion on her character. From what I do know though, she seems like a pretty typical protagonist, though my opinions may change one day.

Canon Character References Post 9, Sundew

Sundew! She's a pretty alright character in my book, also good that Tui introduced her to show the Leafwings weren't extinct within the first book of the third arc instead of dragging it out longer than what would be necessary. Overall, I like Sundew, she was a good supporting lead, her book was overall decently enjoyable as well imo. Good on her getting a girlfriend also, even if she was a pretty lackluster-at-best character. Sundew got things done, and you have to appreciate that to some capacity at least.

Canon Character References Post 8, Tamarin

Tamarin! An overall pretty interesting character, it's nice to have a blind character that was blind from the get-go. Really wholesome how her whole tribe helped her get around and learn how to navigate the Rain Kingdom. Though, her whole thing with Anemone feels very rushed to me, not a fan.

Canon Character References Post 7, Sunny

The girl with the scales and heart of gold, Sunny! Honestly one of my favorite characters in the series, she's just so awesome to me. I don't normally like the "happy-go-lucky" character archetype, but Sunny is different, she was done well imo. She is such a girlboss honestly, best DoD by far to me.

Canon Character References Post 6, Queen Jewel

Queen Jewel is admittedly a character I cannot fully comment on as I have yet to read TFoH, but from what I do know, she's pretty interesting. It's nice to know early on that there are indeed more Hivewings than just Cricket that dislike Wasp. Plus, Jewel herself specifically choosing to help the Silkwings within her hive stay out of trouble is quite nice. Not my favorite Hivewing, but she's better than most of them.

Canon Character Refs Post 5, Whiteout

Whiteout! An overall interesting character but not one I take a particular interest in. Yeah, she had some cool stuff going on with her, but we didn't see enough of her for me to particularly love her. Fun to draw, though.

Canon Character Refs Post 4, Tsunami

Tsunami! The girl with a large attitude and just as large mouth! I honestly quite like her as a protagonist. While not my favorite of the DoD, her book was still pretty enjoyable and her relationship with Glory is quite nice as well.

CCR Post 3, Osprey

Osprey, the guy with a super interesting introduction and backstory that was almost immediately killed off afterwards! What a guy! Honestly, I quite like him as a character, especially his relationship with Peril, many opportunities for theories on why he was so nice to her. Didn't just have to be out of pity, y'know?

CCR Post 2, Winter

Winter is a pretty interesting guy that I find charming in some ways. He could've definitely been written a little better imo, but I honestly liked his book and arc overall. I can see why so many people consider him their favorite character, even if he has quite the chilling personality. Eh? Eh?

CCR Post 1, Clearsight

Clearsight was always a character I found interesting from the moment she was mentioned. While not my favorite from WoF, she was probably my favorite PoV from Legends Darkstalker as her personality and powers were pretty interesting. Sad she fell in love with a manipulative psycho murderer lol
