mk1 kuaiden ship headcanons!! ⚡🔥 i'll add (kinda long) explanations for each part under the cut if you want to read them <3

Big Spoon/Little Spoon - Kuai Liang is a huge cuddler and very touch-starved (more than he realizes) so he likes to cling to Raiden when they sleep. Some nights they switch though, especially when Kuai Liang is stressed and Raiden comforts him by holding him in his arms and planting kisses on his big ol forehead.

Lends Clothes/Borrows Clothes - I think Raiden would feel a little nervous wearing Kuai Liang's clothes because most of Kuai's clothes are well...uniforms. That, and he doesn't want to accidentally mess them up somehow. Kuai loves wearing Raiden's clothes though, it's comforting for him, so sometimes he'll walk around with Raiden's blue shirt from his farmer outfit draped around his shoulders.

Pet Names - Oh Raiden would love pet names, he so sappy and a hopeless romantic. He especially loves calling Kuai 'my love,' 'dear,' or 'my heart' and it makes Kuai melt every time. Kuai doesn't use them very often, but he sometimes calls Raiden 'beloved.'

Introverted - Their social batteries get drained so fast, especially Kuai Liang. He prefers having quiet time to do things for himself, especially since having those moments is so rare, both when he was in the Lin Kuei and as Shirai Ryu. He was put in the spotlight a lot as the grandmaster's son and now being a grandmaster himself. It's similar for Raiden as Earthrealm's champion, but he goes out of his way to talk to people especially when he's curious about something.

Words/Actions - Raiden is very straightforward with his affection, he loves showering Kuai Liang with praise and compliments, saying how much he loves him. He especially loves how Kuai Liang's cheeks turn pink every single time. Kuai Liang isn't as poetic, but he'll leave small trinkets he thinks Raiden would like, offer to run a bath for Raiden after a training session, and massage Raiden's shoulders when he's stressed and he'll kiss Raiden's nose, cheek or lips every time.

Confesses First/Waits - Raiden tries so hard to confess but the poor guy just has no idea how to do it the 'right way.' He overthinks it way too much and just wants to do it in a way that he believes that Kuai Liang deserves. So he sits on his confession for a long time. Kuai isn't dense though and he can see that Raiden's trying, so he eventually confesses. Only after a while though, he thinks it's cute seeing how hard Raiden's trying.

Bugs - Raiden's afraid of spiders, he's embarrassed about it, but he will run to wherever Kuai is and ask him to get rid of it. Kuai Liang absolutely loves bugs though, so he would try to set them free if he can.

Driving - Raiden drove a small cart in Fengjian once. Never again. Kuai's never touched a vehicle in his life.

Cooking - Raiden learned how to cook from Madam Bo, and he'd help out with cooking at home with his family. Kuai Liang never really had to learn how to cook when he was in the Lin Kuei since they had cooks, so when he started the Shirai Ryu he tried to learn. He's not great, but he has the spirit.

PDA - They're ok with small gestures like hand holding or small kisses on the cheek, but they avoid anything bigger than that when in public. They prefer intimacy when it's private, where it's just the two of them and they're able to do whatever they want for the other without worrying about what someone else thinks.

Overprotective/Chill - Both are always worried about the other's safety, but Raiden's more anxious about it. Kuai Liang is in danger more often than he is with the Lin Kuei hunting him down, on top of threats from Outworld and going on missions to protect Earthrealm.

Relationship Experience - Both have experience, I like to think Raiden had one or two relationships before but they never got as deep as his relationship with Kuai. And Kuai's canonically been in relationships before.

Horny Level - Remember what I said about Kuai Liang being very touch-starved and cuddly? Yeah. And Raiden has it just as bad, he just tries to act like he doesn't because he gets embarrassed about it. But he'll cave in so fast if Kuai does anything even remotely flirty.

Awkwardness Level - Raiden just doesn't know what to say sometimes and the thing he's trying to say comes out so clumsily sometimes. He's trying </3

Jealousy Level - Most people are surprised that Raiden can get jealous pretty easily, but it's mostly because the poor guy has some self-esteem issues, thinking he's not enough to be Earthrealm's champion and doubting his skills. So he overworks himself in trying to prove that he's good enough. Sometimes he thinks he isn't good enough to be the Shirai Ryu Grandmaster's partner. Kuai Liang always reassures Raiden that he'll always love him as he is and as he will be.
