Step 1: Disable Option' Working Offline'

You may have enabled the offline mode accidentally; here is how you can disable it again. 

 Launch outlook

Head to the 'send/receive' tab

Check if 'work offline' is enabled (shaded black means yes)

Click to disable the offline mode.  

Wait for a while, and outlook will get connected to the mail server again. You can confirm by checking the status bar at the bottom - "connected/connected to [Mail Server Name]."

Step 2: Install Pending Updates

Follow the steps to install the pending update: 

Launch outlook

Go to File and select Office Account

Click on 'Update Option' and check if there are any pending updates available. 

Select 'update now/ apply updates’

Note: in case the update button is not visible, check and install the latest windows updates. 

Step 3: Create a New Profile

Sometimes the issue occurs due to outlook profile misconfiguration. Here are the steps to outlook working offline fix by creating a new profile: 

 Launch outlook

Go to File and select account settings

Select Manage Profiles

Click on Show Profile >> add to add a new profile

Create a new profile by entering your name and clicking Ok

 After creating a new profile, head to File>> Account settings >> Change profile and switch to the new profile.

Step 4: Launch Outlook In Safe Mode

Safe mode is another outlook working offline fix. It also prevents any add-in from interfering with the normal outlook operations. 

Close outlook window. 

Now, press Windows + R keys. The Run dialogue box will appear. 

Type outlook.exe/safe and press enter. 

Press the send/receive button and check the status bar.
