Strong women

While looking for inspiration for my sketch book, I rediscovered my favourite Disney movies or let's say I thought about then more.

My favourites always were "Atlantis", "Mulan" and "Pocahontas".

It seems like I loved strong women even as a kid, I don't really have role models but I do admire strong women.

That don't give a shit about others opinion, if it's going to just slow them down!

Women that stand to their word!

Women who follow their dreams!

Women that can stand on their own!

Women who don't necessairly need a men!

Women who can still aks for help when they need it!

I'm proud that every day I'm working on becoming one of those women. Just step by step I'm finding my own way. I'm standing up for myself. I asked for help when I needed it.

Their is no shame to admit that you need help. It's a sign of strenght that you can fight you shadows! So keep fighting!!

This cute little guy walks around our campus here. He just collects food and walks and sleeps all day. Sometimes I wish I could be a cute little hedgehog, instead I’m learning bibical hebrew and fight with old texts.

Taking time

When I volunteere a lot I start to loose track of time. I concentrate on my work. On the people around me. On the one side thats good. On the other side, that’s really bad. I forget to eat regularly. Somedays I didn’t really eat at all.  Somedays I forget to do my work for uni. Somedays I forget to take care of myself. I started to break. Into pieces. I got weaker. Lost my conection to God. I could hardly think of new things. Blocked myself of from new thoughts. I just felt empty.

So I decided it was enough! I decided I needed me time When I was younger I loved to do my nails. And I was always lucky enoough to have strong and good nails. So I got my nail polish out and started to paint them again! I just relaxed and concentrated on a simple task.  I look after my nails now. I paint them at least once a week, eigther when the nail polish starts to peel of or when I feel down. I express myself over my nails! I just take time for myself and my body. And I do something nice for it! For me it’s painting my nails, for some it’s a nice long bubble bath and for others it’s doing some sort of sport.

So what I want to say is. Take time for yourself! Look after yourself and the energy ressources you have. Take time to power yourself out. Than take time to relax and rewind.  Do what you enjoy!

I love sunsets. I love early mornings. They give me a feeling of new chances, new beginnings. The air in the moring is just so light and it’s easy to breath in again. To start breathing new, for you. Just you and a few birds And the one or two dogwalkers.

I start my life new by doing something for my studies! Doing my hebraicum in a city away from home. Just concentrating on hebrew and myself and my needs.
