I don’t have much time to draw lately  because of school, but have some concepts for mermaids and sirens! Mermaids are fish people, like sirens, who swim around ship graveyards. With her beautiful looks, they lure man into the water and drown them. Their scales are golden, silver or bronze since they try to shine in the water and to give them an heavenly look. All in all they have a more of a human look. The sirens killing method is not based on their looks, since they aren't really pretty. They have a hypnotic voice that lures all kind of people to them, but you can easily avoid their brainwashing if you block their sound. they have dark green, black or turkeys scales and dark skin to blend into the water, since they generally strike in the night, where they hide in the dark until their pray is close enough. There are less sirens in the world then mermaids, but they can appear in nearly every part of the ocean. They resemble more fish then humans and their hair has a fin like texture.
