‘Bimbo Yusuri’ by GREYFIELD WOODS. The latest piece of music I made for The Fearless Few music production challenge collective, which I made entirely from a vocal recording in 2.5 hours.

Classically but refreshingly left of field submission by GREYFIELD WOODS, whose skilful handling of pots and pans is worthy of a big shout out. Here’s what he had to say about the track:
This is a Fearless Few music production challenge (#8). The rules of the challenge were to make an ambient dreamy track, less than 10 minutes long, and with 3 or 4 tracks of instruments, and to finish it in under 2 hours.
I added some extra rules just to make a change for myself - I decided to only use new audio recordings, of guitar, glockenspiel, wooden spoons and a saucepan, and decided to do the track in a 6/4 time signature.

The CDR event in Shoreditch last night was great. Had a new Two Silhouettes tune played and it didn’t sound too awful, met with the talented Mike Mikkelsen and Imran Rumjon, and we talked with some talented peeps about plans for the Fearless Few, and maybe even setting up an electronica open mic event at a festival in South London.

This is an endearing and fascinating album by Castle Rings, a project by Jocelyn Vardey, that I was honoured to contribute synths and other computer noises to earlier this year. Give it a listen here:
