hey, i’ve spent the last few days working on the theme for kael’s new blog so i think the revamp should be coming pretty soon! (:  it’s not happening right this second, as much as a new year’s revamp WOULD be real fun and sexy, bc i still need to rewrite his bio and stuff but!! if anybody wants me to follow them first as soon as the blog’s ready, please like this post! <3

you may have noticed that this blog has been a little slow for the last couple of months (thank u for not unfollowing me?? asdfgfds) and i’m only just getting active again. it bears repeating that most of my absence has been due to me being on my multimuse ( @sweetchained​​ ) more often but i’ve also just had a lot of mixed feelings about this blog tbh? not so much the muse as i still LOVE kael but i’ve just not felt much motivation to do stuff here and i’ve been trying to think of what’s best for the future of this muse. because of that, i’ve decided to finally archive this blog & move to a new one. i’ve been using this blog for 5 years and i’d like to have a fresh restart! (almost, not really, kael’s still going to be kael)

HOWEVER, this new blog will be different; kael will no longer be a final fantasy-focused oc :pensive: :pensive: his ffviii verse will still be available as i’ve put 5 years of work into this plotline & there are still plenty of ff mutuals with whom i’d LOVE to keep writing if they’ll have me! but the fact of the matter is that i don’t feel as deeply connected to the ff rp fandom as i used to and i’ve grown more comfortable writing fandomless ocs. i write more ‘modern’ verse threads on this blog at the moment anyway so the new blog probably won’t function all that differently, there’ll just be a different focus! i’ll be reworking his modern verse a little so it’s less confusing but his ffviii will be the exact same, no major changes made! i’ll also be keeping my rinoa blog and trying to use it more so i’ll still be in the ff fandom! but i want to make this change for kael as it’s something i’ve been internally debating for a while. if you’re someone who only feels comfortable with strictly ff blogs on your dash, i’ll understand if you don’t want to refollow! this blog has never been super strictly ff but i do get that people want to keep their stuff in an ff bubble! however, if you don’t mind that, my ffviii verse won’t be going anywhere! it just won’t be as prominent!

i’ll be archiving this blog and moving to a new blog sometime next year & switching the focus to his modern-world verse w/his ffviii verse as a still-very-available secondary verse. in the meantime, i’ll be trying to return to a decent level of activity here so please don’t unfollow just yet! (unless u actually just want to which is obviously ur call)! any new threads i start here in the next while will be carried over to the new blog! again, nothing about how i run my blog will really change? it’s just more of a....on the surface switch! also i’ve been on @sweetchained​​ a lot so, if ur chill with multimuses, and like ocs.... hey (: anyway, thank you for sticking with me and with kael! i’m feeling super excited about kael for the first time in ages so i’m really looking forward to this new step i’ll be taking in the Kael Journey!

He hadn’t noticed her standing there, not until she spoke out. Until that moment, he’d been much too distracted with trying to organise an excitable three year old who is about as willing to let him get this damn scarf wrapped around her neck as she is to sit still. And, when she did speak, Kael had been in the middle of asking his daughter if she was trying to freeze to death. Is that what you want? To be cold forever and ever and ever? No? He looks up, vaguely startled, and brushes his shaggy hair of his fringe out of his eyes. This woman, she looks trustworthy enough. Letting out a sigh, he allows his stiffened shoulders to drop.

“If you want”, he says, pulling Hana’s head up over her head and scooping her up into his arms, “I mean, I’m fine with it. I don’t know if she’ll agree though.” He nods his chin towards Hana but she’s already wriggling in protest. Although the smile on his lips is on the smaller side, the pride he feels at Hana being recognised as his daughter is clear as day; even after three years, there’s something about it that just sounds good. It sounds rights. “But, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s this mural for?”

also i owe more starters than i thought i did so they’re mostly going to be on the shorter side (with possible exceptions if inspiration hits but, basically, i’m not holding myself to the pressure of having to write a whole lot), just bc i don’t find writing random starters THAT easy and i don’t want to bite off more than i chew! c’: feel free to make your reply as long as you want though!
