This is the loveliest video I've seen , it shows just how many incredibly talented people had been involved in the production of this show, and the bond they all have after years of working together, I love it!
They left him in Port Townsend, alone, after Esther technically shredded him to pieces and turned him into a crow again but with all that fading memory of how it felt to be a human.
No explanation, just reminded me of him for some gay reason.
When he was so high on his feelings for Edwin. I know in retrospective is sad, but everyone that had a crush knows that in the moment, it feels good.
This is about Esther, cause he was her familiar and he trusted her not to be that evil until the end.
This is about that kiss. That scene. All of it
Just reminded me of him a lot.
That's all for now! Hope you like them ♡
My Monty songs so far:
Lovey-dovey astrology crush phase
Heartbroken and jealous of Charles
[The album pic a little on the "beak" for Monty, too]
I'm looking for more! Please reblog with your fave Monty songs
The little scene after hell on the rooftop is underrated actually! The way Charles glances at him and smiles is soo... not flirtatious exactly but idk. he has just found out that Edwin, who he thinks is the best person in the world, loves him. And I think it makes Charles really happy, knowing that Edwin is in love with him, even if Charles himself is still figuring out his own feelings. It's like that incredulous feeling of 'holy shit what did I ever do to make this incredible person fall in love with me?', and that's why he glances away almost shyly and looks like he can't stop himself from smiling to himself.
And he's SO quick to tell Edwin it didn't make things uncomfortable/awkward/whatever Edwin was planning to say, like he actually cuts off Edwin's words! Like he's saying he's the opposite of uncomfortable with it, and he looks so pleased and happy and a little shy and yes, in love in that moment. I think he loves that Edwin is in love with him (which in time he'll realise is a good indication that he loves Edwin back). ❤️
I have a question for y'all. If Edwin has a kind of hypersensitivity, such as hyperacusis or sound sensitivity (and he does, but let me walk you through a hypothetical), would he have had to endure not only the torture he was subjected to while in hell, but also the occasional meltdown because he was not only extremely terrified but also hearing every single noise inside the dollhouse or any other terror room he was in?
And once he returned to the world, did he have to cope with it and assume it was due to hell and trauma, or was it simply an issue without a solution or remedy?
Considering all he had endured, it wouldn’t surprise me if he chose to disregard the discomfort, however terrible it might be. Yet, I can’t help but wonder if there was a moment when he experienced a really bad meltdown, because, you know, there's ALWAYS a breaking point.
And if Charles had to deal with it the best he could, and find a way to stop panicking himself and help Edwin, without knowing what to do?
Monty: Of course I fucking don't. I know you're crazy. You know you're crazy. The whole of Port Townsen knows you're crazy. Don't ask stupid questions!
In an interview with IndieWire it was mentioned that they had “every international version of Clue” and I had to take a closer look. Not only is it not exactly “international” versions, (considering that both Charles and Edwin are British, their national one would be Cluedo, so Clue does work as international in that sense), but the board games you see in the background are all vintage and from different decades!
I did not cover all the Clues, although they do have at least 8 of them in that closet. But their assortment of board games is quite interesting!
I wonder how Edwin and Charles felt the first time they saw people going to a Pride Parade in London. Like, with the outfits and the make up and the flags everywhere...
I just— It's something I want to write this Pride Month.
I just finished Valley of The Dolls, and now I have more questions than answers about that choice.
If just make sense, maybe, Monty being Esther's familiar sure had listened to her ranting about her awful life, her unfaithful husband, and above all, about her revenge and her ambitions.
I wonder if Monty sat down to read it and somehow thought about Esther at some point, and then about how feelings can be so complicated and hurtful, even before he really got to experience that pain and confusion himself.
[spoilers under the cut]
dolls: refers to drugs, a red doll is a pill.
Well, if I know something now, is why some parts went over Edwin's head lmao. Still, I wonder if he choose his recommendation thinking about something in particular, apart from the book being a modern masterpiece, or if it happened to be one of his latest readings.
