8493 [photography & travel book, 2017] Self-published by Nikola Sanz Photographies and texts by Nikola Sanz Art direction by Nicolas Polli
The book 8493 features photographs, illustrations and texts, telling the story of a bicycle journey between India and Switzerland.
On 1 April 2015, I took a flight bound for India, with my bike in the hold section and rumblings of wild excitement in my guts. I was about to spend the next seven months on my bike, slowly return home. The journey took me to extremes: from intoxicating deserts to snow-covered mountains, from nights under the stars to overcrowded megacities, from great frustrations to explosions of joy.
The book 8493 is a dive into this adventure.

Off-Piste [documentary film, 2015] Produced by Cause – Benoît Goncerut, Arnaud Cottet & Nikola Sanz Directed by Benoît Goncerut, Arnaud Cottet & Nikola Sanz
Off the slopes, people ride their own way.
At only an hour’s drive north of Tehran stands one of the most unexpected communities of Iran. A strong sense of freedom and passion for their mountains drive its people to keep Dizin alive as one of the largest running ski resorts in the Middle East. Away from today’s international political context, the film Off-Piste seeks to open new perspectives by focusing on a little known aspect of the country of mullahs, a portrait of Iran contrasting with current reports on nuclear agree- ments and the obvious Western clichés.

Time Of My Life [documentary film, 2012] Produced by Benoît Goncerut & Arnaud Cottet Directed by Nikola Sanz, Adrian Meredith & Frédéric Goncerut
Time Of My Life (TOML) is a documentary film about riding and the passion behind it.
Ski, skateboard and snowboard movies are usually made to impress and show only one aspect of these sports: impressive tricks and bluebird skies. Skiing, snowboarding and skateboarding are much more than that. Following a crew of swiss young riders (6 skaters, 3 skiers and 5 snowboarders), TOML explores the backstages of the « show » and wishes to draw a more complete and authentic vision of the riders experience. Shot over a year through Europe, Russia and ex-Yugoslavia, TOML is a humble attempt to push the limits of classical action sport movies, and to offer a glimpse of the passion that lives behind the sports.
