It's hard to get used to this life.

Majority of Dark Choco's living situation was in the woods traveling and even before he was banished he would still leave the kingdom for adventure or assisting the Cacao warriors with their missions.

He never imagined domestic life nor believed he should allow himself anything pleasurable in life but it was...good.

The sound of a cup clinging onto the table snapped him out of his thoughts, he looked up so see you sitting down next to him holding your own warm beverage.

"You doing okay?" You asked giving him a small tilt of the head.

Dark Cacao smiled slightly and nodded picking up the drink you made for him, warm coca.

The winter winds howl outside as you both lean into each other Dark Choco stares at the window close by watching the familiar snow as you set aside your drink to lay your head to Dark Choco's chest as you watched some movie on the TV.

Dark Choco hasitantly wraps one arm around you to secure you if you fall asleep he tells himself.

The small guilt in the back of his head will always tell him he doesn't deserve this that he will never be redeemed for his actions onto his kingdom his father, but looking down to you trying is the best he will do and he will continue doing so.

No more submitting to the darkness like he oh so believed he deserved.

Even if he's not used to this life, he is going to enjoy it with you.

He felt a hand cup his face and saw you looking up at him concerned "Hey are you sure you're okay? You've been zoning out a lot recently" Dark Choco smiled cupping your hand in response.

"I'm okay...I'm just thinking about all this...and if the power will cut out" a half truth he didn't want to sour the mood and he likes to hear you laugh.

"Okay well first of all, if it's overwhelming tell me kay? I'm not sure exactly how to help but damn it I'll try something!" You held up your other hand on a fist dramatically shaking it making Choco laugh if only slightly "And second I doubt it the storm shouldn't be too strong enough to do that."

Dark Choco shrugged "You might have jinxed yourself" you gasped in response "No you just jinxed us by saying I jinxed us!" As of to prove your point the TV cut out losing signal but the power was still on.

"...Lets set up some candles just in case" Dark Choco offered a little light-heartedly he's used to the dark cold weather but you may not be.

"At least we can count this as a romantic candle lit dinner later" you laughed sitting up so the both of you can prepare for the potentially power cut.
