#rodiator by Maria Smigielska @maria_sni and Pierre Cutellic is a #roboticrodbending commissioned project for AAn+1 @aan1_artlab gallery in Paris to serve as a front desk. Its morphostructural state, halfway between volumetric and surfacic, structural and ornamental- makes it a deeper object to reflect the artistic and architectural content hosted by the gallery itself. To follow such design logic, single material component - metal rod was chosen to become the subject of differentiation in space through the single process of non-standard roboticized rod bending. With the use of custom made computational tools nad machine learning techniques- it was possible to follow integrative design strategies and digitally control local, material, structural and architectural performance. Data: 550x140x75cm, 340 m of rods, 700 elements, 2400 unique bending angles. mariasni.com compmonks.com

#Couture by @lorenza_bozzoli_design "In the #creative trial that has brought to the birth of the #new #pouf couture, #LorenzaBozzoli has started from the observation of the material for then #design its use function that valorized better its intrinsic qualities. Seasoned of #fashion and #fashiondesign - before devoting to the production of objects of #interior -, Lorenza has chosen with care typology and colours of the fabrics, for then to give it three-dimensional expression in a series of functional pouf, creative, colored. The combinations of violets and oranges, pinks, of greens and blues give life to a living chromatic palette. Bright and highly #decorative, that suggests references to the #tribal #geometries and those mondrianianes. From the world of the #hautecouture, the poufs inherit the manufacturing of #tailoring, that brings, through ancient looms, to the creation of the fringes applied on the structure in cotton velvet and Mongolian fur with seams performed to hand. lorenzabozzoli.com

#EquilibriumStool by @GuglielmoPoletti The #stool is the result of an elementary composition, in which few components are combined through simple gestures. It highlights a personal interest for basic constructions and #simplicity. The monolithic presence of the piece is enhanced by the visual contrast between the solid bottom arch and the very fine top curve. The main body of the object, #made out of flexible urethane #rubber, has been #casted in the shape of a #cylinder and then bent in order to become structural. The #rope is used to put the structure in tension and to combine it with the #seating element, a slightly curved, oxidized #copper plate. #GuglielmoPoletti is an #Italian #designer from #Milan. His work pursues the definition of a personal language, an #artistic identity which aims to trigger reflections on the meaning of form in relation to functionality or to a specific #context. guglielmopoletti.com
