so... toki pona doesn't have many ways to describe gender beyond tonsi, meli, and meji.... and that's an issue for a lot of my alters! so i propose tonsi[nimi] as a solution. tonsi[nimi] is an umbrella term for toki pona spearkers to describe their gender that isn't meli or mije. while tonsi can and is mostly used by nonbinary or other gender varient folk to signal they aren't meli or mije, some people may find that doesn't adequately describe their genders. for example, someone who feels their gender is intense or energetic may want to describe their gender as tonsi[wawa]. tonsi can be replaced with both mije and meli, so if you're meli and want to describe your meli-ness as wawa, you can write meli[wawa]! in sitelen pona, you would write this with the gender symbol and nimi open and nimi pini!
