more of the 80s au... lalalala these are mostly illustrations i did of a scene i had in mind. it is too much material for a comic but like sister hildegard af bingen tormented by visions; i, too, had to write them down instead of drawing it all (ao3 link, id say its pg13, theres mentions of murder, alcohol n cigarettes, and a little over 5k words, there is no himeru). also drew some of these while watching the new until dawn movie

oo anon i think they can be lovely (love~ly even ehehe..!) but i have not rly studied them in my mad scientist laboratory yet. heres them for you in their 80's getups for the 80's thing im working on! i drew them once before as well for THE hiiai royalty, @kittysquire......!! interestingly i dont think theyre too similar to rinniki, theyre too sweet to each other. they dont try to kill each other with hammers even once

going back to form by trying to map out my thoughts of a 80s slasher horror au... u already know the bees arent making it. good reference points for what im blending are dario argento's opera (1987), most of but especially the first friday the 13th (1980), evil dead trap (1988); plus the more contemporary stage fright (2014) because its so camp + it's a cute musical that stars meat loaf... but yes. more to come of this au, its too much fun to think of outfits for them + assign roles in the story..!

ummm. context... läkumätas is back!! she offered her eye as sacrifice so we could find our missing party member iiris (love of her life) + a depressed ancient guy could turn into a sword (surely things will go better with her second sentient sword--!), mörkel took in a former big monster as their pet slug to care for, named grandma. did that subway redraw meme, and theres a younger mörkel in there somewhere too

they were also announced literally in the middle of me making a powerpoint for my friends about enstars so i put this slide after my in-depth slide describing all the agencies, units and characters. i was not happy my 40 min presentation got even longer

i like your choice for rinne a lot, esp with the vest added ;_; i think a classic daruma otoshi tower would rly suit kohaku, while himeru could be one of those old school perfect dolls with a porcelain head + hands, but a soft body, and a huge hat. altho it would be so funny if he was a monster high doll (doppelganger bee-ast?). niki's 1st FS card has basically floating fisher price veggies around him so all i could think of for him was the fisher price broccoli sheep. oueeee this was fun to think about + i consulted my dear expert friends as well... do take my ideas with a grain of salt since i grew up with toys like that cute skinamarink phone and self made paper dolls so im not too familiar with the world of toys😔🤲✨

i am really disappointed in the enstars collab with nestle since it is a corporation that preys on vulnerable communities and is actively harming us all. i wanted to let you know about their deeds so you yourself can make the judgment of whether to buy their products in the future or not! among other things they are actively trying to make water a human need, not a human right, all while stealing it; they use child slavery and actively cover it up, they buy out independent vet clinics to drive up prices + sell their own products; they knowingly sell garbage food that you can "fix" by buying their own supplements; they convinced thousands of mothers that nestle baby formula was healthier than breastmilk and caused health issues and deaths in the thousands. if you are interested in a good analysis and list of nestle's wrongdoings without reading all that i really recommend watching this video by georg rockall-schmidt!

at least i feel that their collaboration with products like enstars is a good sign, as they must be struggling with attracting buyers in younger demographics - let's keep going and not let them fix their ass reputation. i feel really passionately about this since i believe water belongs to us all and should never be monetized the way they do; using lies and power to get richer while whole communities dry out. anyway. whatever. go my door punchline

was asked to share some notes + drawing exercises! i had a wonderful opportunity in uni to take a caricature masterclass where we just did a week's worth of different drawing exercises, for me one similar to this one stuck most. :D i do want to emphasize that this is an exercise where you have to become comfortable with drawing "ugly" in order to search for what works best and go out of your comfort zone! forgot to mention it in the pic, try to change the size and position of the whole face on top of the head too; and if you end up liking a face a lot you can try to keep designing+tweaking it in smaller ways...!

i also recommend analyzing what is "default" to you when you design a character. what is its gender? is it white? is it thin? this is not criticism but just a good thought exercise to break out of learned patterns and norms. now gooo! draw for yourself!!

Hi OP!! I know that rinniki is like, your main thing, and I absolutely love your rinniki art, but could I perhaps ask what your thoughts on himeniki are...👀 (if that's alright, of course)

Also, all ship stuff aside, I want to thank you since you have inspired me to draw characters with different features. You have no idea how huge of an inspiration your art has been for me :)

HELLOOO dear not timely himeniki admin (very lovely acct BTW)...! firstly, thank you so much 😭🥰🥰 it makes me very happy to hear that my art can inspire someone in this way!!! one of the best things that can happen to an artist. if you'd like i can drop some character face drawing exercises to push your limits...!!

i think niki's and himeru's dynamic is awesome and the way they clearly grow into friends who care deeply about each other over time is very sweet (in true crazy bee style) and honestly kicked my ass bc i didn't think it would happen when i was still reading !! main story. 👍👍 the lucky bunny himeru story was rly rly cute and foolish alien absolutely legendary mv. i too once posted some shippier himenikis to the wrong account by accident and forgot about it until now.
