Real quick, i do not condone greenflame. I fucking hate it, this is just my commentary on the fandom’s behavior overall.

I feel like the ninjago fandom should no longer be surprised when stuff like Greenflame gets popular again

in my time in the fandom, i've seen people allow so many problematic things to slide: harumi being seen as a girlboss and her actions downplayed despite canonically being an abuser; Waterjade being allowed to be something to be openly shipped despite Harumi canonically being younger than Lloyd and Nya being an adult; people letting Llorumi slide despite being abuser x victim and not being treated with the gravity it should; there's more but i'm not here to write an essay.

The ninjago fandom basically told everyone in the fandom "A is okay!" they do not get to be surprised when members of the fandom go "so B is okay too!"

These leaks don't bring any views to the show and the creators worked hard to make us these wonderful seasons and it could fuck up Thier job as well as future seasons releases.

I understand if you watched it to avoid spoilers but when it comes out on legit services please rewatch it .

I feel so bad for Doc and everyone who put a hand in this show.

I can't imagine putting hard work in something only for it to be leaked like that.

I think it’s interesting how the two concepts of “accepting who you are” and “protection” are used for the ninja’s true potentials, but there was a narrative difference in how it was used.

To put it simply, Cole, Zane, and Jay all had the idea of accepting who you are in their true potentials more so than Kai, whose true potential was filled with the idea of protection more so than accepting who you are.

All of them have some form of both, but the first three have it more focused on accepting that being yourself is okay, that there is nothing wrong with who or how you are. Kai’s was less focused on that and more focused on the need of protection and pushing yourself into saving those who need it.

And i think thats so important to their characters because whilst Kai did have some form of an identity issue with the whole green ninja thing, he had it more in aiming to become something higher rather than ignoring who he was.

Cole, Zane, and Jay all had character arcs focusing on acceptance. Cole had to be open with who he was to those he loved, Zane had to accept that who he was is who he is. Jay had to understand that change in oneself should not push those who love you away.

Of course all three also mixed but they had their own individual understandings of accepting themselves and that then later unlocked the need to protect because no matter who or what they are they are still ninja. Cole unlocking his to protect his dad, Zane unlocking his protect the ninja, and Jay unlocking his to protect Nya.

Kai, on the other hand, had the idea of accepting himself written far differently to the others.

He had to understand that chasing after something isn’t worth the risk of it harms others, and its through protecting Lloyd in the volcano he accepted that who he is is okay, as long as those he loved were happy.

I was thinking about how Sora, Arin and Wyfy are fellow new ninja, which means they interact with each other a lot more off-screen. So I was wondering what their trio name is. But like I couldn't seem to find any. So this is my proposal.

okay so this is my take on lloyd's age and appearance throughout the seasons and dragon's rising. i will redraw it because i think i could play around with his non human features a bit more.

my headcanon is that lloyd was around 11-13 at the start, looking like his age, but after the tea, he becomes one of those cases "im actually slightly younger than i appear to be". also, trauma ages you a bit too, and lloyd is filled with it.

the broken nose is from his battle back with garmadon. i don't believe this would be the first time he ever broke something, especially his nose, but i think he just didn't have the time to properly heal so it stayed (so most of the scars i draw him with in DR come from this fight).
