Hello I am NipahDUBS, I was hacked but I am back.

Hey guys, as MANY MANY of you noticed, I was hacked. And not just a normal hacking, they changed my password, they changed my email and so then had full control over my account for a week.

I was first alerted about this during a livestream on instagram and I quickly went to email staff about this and alert people on my social medias about this, take note that this is October 31st when it started.

They sent me this reply, I gave them all the information they asked for but then this happened

They basically told me that since the email had been changed under the account that there wasn’t a way to prove I was really me and I could not get my account back.

I called them every hour that day, trying to get a hold of someone who could assist me better and no one ever picked up, I was always greeted by an automated message.

After that I emailed them EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Non stop. I didn’t want to give up on getting my account back under my control and every day they ignored me. 

I made an instagram post about my account being hacked to try and gain some momentum on getting my account unhacked and nothing, it did nothing to help.

I made full twitter thread updates about all of this, trying in anyway to contact tumblrs staff and get help and try anything but nothing worked, I really tried so hard guys and it was so frustrating that I was crying at how angry and mad I was that I had all this proof and nothing was being done and no one was helping me from their staff.

I ended up just telling everyone to report my blog and hope it get taken down

And then by 11/8/2018 by account had been removed from the site. I had accepted I wasn’t going to get my account back but was happy at least you guys would not be getting spammed by the porn bot anymore and made a new account with the intent of starting over.

Though for one last time I sent in a customer support request to tumblr about my account being deactivated and wondering if I could get it back under my control.

AND BLESS TUMBLRS STAFF HAS ONE PERSON WITH THE ABILITY TO HELP THEIR USERS. I LOVE YOU DREW.

I have now deleted all 300+ porn bot posts, I am sorry for the bottom of my heart that you guys were exposed to what the bot/hacker was posting. I really REALLY tried so hard everyday to get my account back and I hope those who unfollowed me see this and see that I am back and I was trying so very hard to get back control. To those who stuck around and believed in me, helped report, helped me get this account back just thank you from the bottom of my heart guys. This has been such a weight off me and I was breaking down at the thought of people thinking I was purposely reblogging this content and doing this. I am just so happy to have my account back. Thank you for those who fought with me.

Thank you to everyone who helped in the process of taking down my hacked account, I wish I could have recovered it but I would rather it be gone then continue to spam the followers I had on there. I worked for over five years to a build a following on this platform and it kinda sucks to start over but here I am. I initially wasn’t going to come back to tumblr after this but your guys support really encouraged me not to just abandoned this site, even if @staff @support are no help at all for their users. Thank you again, I will slowly be reposting my content here.

We need your help

I already mentioned this on discord but the whole situation is so outrageous I’ll do it again here, for those of you who didn’t see it.

A few of you have brought to our attention the case of a cosplayer whose tumblr blog was stolen by bots. They can’t get their blog back and it’s now spamming pictures of girls and porn links and such. Ofc tumblr is doing nothing to help.

So if you’d like to help, please report the spamming bot, and also the cosplayer’s account, as they would rather see it taken down now, if they can’t recover it. Thank you!

and http://makinakiwako.tumblr.com/ is the bot that originally started spamming their page. It’s interesting to note it is also a stolen blog, one that was abandoned around 2016.

Update 11/5/2018: I have emailed @staff @support every day and for the past two days and today they have not replied back to me. They are blatantly ignoring me at this point I will continue to message them every single day till something is done about this, ignore me all you want staff, it is YOUR job to help me.

I have emailed staff everyday for the past three days to try and get their help and get my account unhacked from the porn bot spam and get nothing, they refuse to help me. @staff @support why are you even here if you refuse to help the people on your website? I shouldn’t have to keep sending requests EVERYDAY and basically beg you to help me get my account back. MY ACCOUNT THATS BEEN HACKED It is clearly not me and is being flooded by bots but they have more respect/side with the hackers then the actual owner of the account? The person who ran the account for five years! This is how you treat your members? By ghosting them when they contact your support team. I even tried calling their support phone line 11 different times throughout the day and I kept getting an automated message. Why is it so hard for your company to assist its users?

Has anyone ever wondered where all these porn bots suddenly came from? Just think, a couple years ago they weren’t on this website (that I know of), even last year? They weren’t this bad. But now I see peoples posts who have hundreds of notes and most of them are from porn/spam bot accounts. I’m reporting porn bot accounts constantly when they try to follow me/like my pictures/reblog from me. And recently I’ve found out a fellow cosplayers account was hacked and was basically turned into a porn bot account. (I’m unsure if an actual person has hacked his account, or if it’s some program or who knows what, but it was taken over with posts being rebloged similar to a porn bot account, and he has had the runaround with staff about it. His tumblr is @nipahcos​ if you wanna read some of it, or over on his twitter he has more posts) At the rate of porn bot accounts being made on this website, we are going to have more bots than a userbase.

In case you haven’t noticed

Tumblr sucks ass. A really awesome cosplay blog I follow recently started posting some very strange content. Turns out their account was hacked and turned into a fucking porn bot. This shit is getting out of hand and this site is doing nothing. Yeah I can understand not being able to control spam accounts but getting to the point where it takes away from users is insane. @staff @support why are you letting this happen?
