I still think the cliff scene would have gone very differently if In-ho and Jun-ho were alone without the guards. Yes, In-ho would still have taken off his mask, but I don’t think he would have shot Jun-ho.

Although Jun-ho would probably still have refused to take In-ho’s hand, I think In-ho would have begged, and if they were alone without these guards pointing their guns at him, I think maybe Jun-ho would have listened and agreed to come with In-ho.

Or even if Jun-ho kept refusing, In-ho would probably have tried to take him by force. Anything. But I don’t think In-ho would ever have shot him off the cliff

“But In-ho’s these guards’ boss” yes, but we don’t know if the higher ups, someone who are more powerful than In-ho, are also watching through the guards. We don’t know what’ll happen if In-ho shows a glimpse of “doubt and weakness” in front of these people, that’s the point.

LMAO I just imagine Ji-yeong materializes out of thin air beside Gyeong-seok like the gremlin she is and being like “you should go for it” 😏😏 and he jumps a foot in the air like “where the fuck did you come from?”

I really think it would be hilarious to see some of the season 1 characters interact with the season 2 characters, so I’m trying to imagine some sort of time travel scenario where instead of Gi-hun going back in time, the whole season 2 cast gets plonked back in time as well.

Maybe after mingle, where all the players’ heads are spinning from the carousel and the chaos. The stairs seem to twist and turn becoming even more confusing than they usually are. Finally they make it all the way down to the bottom, and the doors to the dormitory open, but when they step through there’s an entirely different group of players already there. Gi-hun’s heart lurches seeing the friends he’d lost years earlier, and then his mind scrambles at the chance he might be able to change how things end this time. In-ho goes still as a statue as he steps through the door because this is not part of his plan, and across the room Oh Il-nam sends him an all to knowing grin.

For the season 1 characters, I imagine they’re reeling from narrowly surviving tug of war. The tension between the players is building and they’re headed straight towards the collision in the special game round, but the arrival of these strange players completely shifts the paradigm. Gi-hun is completely shell-shocked to see an older version of himself and heartbroken to see Jungbae ending up in the same place as him. Sang-woo is calculating what this means for his chance to win while Deok-Su is measuring up how much a physical threat these players are. And in the control room, In-ho wants to know why the hell there’s a version of him walking around wearing 001 and cozying up to 456.

Things I think are really funny that I want to see in this scenario: Il-nam teasing In-ho and giving him shit for pulling the exact same move as he did, Gi-hun getting a chance to save the people he cares about and seeing how this older Gi-hun would interact with Sang-woo, and a Deok-su vs. Thanos showdown. I’d also love if Deok-su wiped the floor with them and then tried to be intimidating only for Hyun-ju to completely beat the crap out of him too.

@toffeeinhun Deok-su saying some shitty thing to Sae-byeok or maybe trying to corner her during lights out, and Hyun-ju is having absolutely none of that. I think especially coming off of Mingle and losing Young-mi, she’s spoiling for a fight. I don’t think it would take much, and then Deok-su would be on the ground wheezing in two seconds flat. Sae-byeok would outwardly be like I don’t need your help, but I think she’d be secretly impressed, and Ji-yeong is loving that fact she now has two tall badasses to thirst over.
