au where inho joins the squid games way earlier. like in 2004. and he becomes the frontman far sooner. and he can't just leave junho behind.... he can't just leave junho with his mother forever and only know they're okay because of the money he sends them every month. so he comes to their house late in the night and he stops by little twelve year old junho's room and takes his hand and asks him if he wants to stay with inho. and junho's always cared for inho above everything else so he says yes without hesitation. and when told he can ask to leave whenever he wants, he never asks.
aka PICTURE FRONTMAN INHO WITH HIS LITTLE BABY BROTHER. ooooo you wanna think about it soooooo bad. inho coming up to his fuckass penthouse after a very messy sitch gets wrapped up covered in blood and little junho running up to him and hugging him without a single care. inho trying to stop him at least until he gets the coat off so junho doesn't get blood all over him and junho hugging him anyways. young junho with light and adoration in his eyes and a grin on his face and blood on his teeth. little sweet boy not blinking at violence and gore. inho patting his head with his gloves and smiling so fondly like this isn't a prison of his own making and he didn't bring his little brother into it because he couldn't bear living in it alone.
little junho getting out of the room and interrupting inho while he's at work and inho having to deal with this attention hungry kid bugging him while he's supposed to be serious and intimidating. guys please

Got a new fic idea I want to write where In-ho protects and takes care of Ga-yeong, Gi-hun’s daughter.
Assuming the Masked Officer goes rogue and does things behind In-ho’s back by killing Gi-hun’s ex wife and kidnapping Gi-hun’s daughter to try to keep Gi-hun in line. In-ho’s furious when he finds out about this. Ga-yeong is here, and she’s crying and terrified. And In-ho nearly loses it. “You crossed the line. We don’t go after Players’ families.”
In-ho takes Ga-yeong in because he does not trust the Masked Officer or any of the Pink Soldiers, and he’s not throwing her in a cell. So he lets her stay in his room because it’s the safest place he can provide her. And he’s being surprisingly soft and kind to her that it actually shocks him. Maybe it has something to do with the death of his own child. Maybe taking care of Ga-yeong makes him feel like he’s someone’s father.
And slowly Ga-yeong starts to trust him.
Fast forward to Gi-hun stomping into In-ho’s room, after Gi-hun’s insurgence’s a success, and just loses it in front of Ga-yeong, because in Gi-hun’s belief, In-ho — Front Man — is the one killing his ex and kidnapping his daughter. And he loses it when someone messes with his family and is just beating the fuck out of In-ho in front of Ga-yeong (also because Gi-hun believes In-ho hurts her).
Gi-hun doesn’t even hear Ga-yeong screaming at him to stop because he’s just too furious, until Ga-yeong literally puts herself between a half-conscious In-ho and her dad to keep Gi-hun from hurting In-ho. And she’s crying, holding onto In-ho and begging “no, dad, don’t hurt him. Don’t hurt In-ho, please!”
And Gi-hun’s just shocked.
Fast forward to post games where things get better and In-ho has a daughter (Ga-yeong) and a family (Ga-yeong, Gi-hun, Jun-ho and possibly even his step mom), Ga-yeong has two dads (In-ho and Gi-hun) and a cool uncle (Jun-ho), Gi-hun has his daughter, a husband (In-ho) and a brother in law (Jun-ho).
I AM WRITING A FIC ABOUT THIS. Y’ALL STAY TUNED.

Inho held him thight in his arms. As if he didn’t hold on thight enough, the world would take him far far away from him so he never could see him again
This wasn’t suppose to happen. The bullet was meant for him, not Junho.
Gihun came with the gun, pointed it at Inho. And Inho didn’t mind it at all. He was done. This place. Those games have taken everything for him. His wife. His child. His friends. His humanity. He wanted to go
And in the end of the day, Gihun is a kind a man. Something Inho once was. He can only prey Gihun doesn’t go down the same path as him
But when he fired…
Junho
His brother
His stupid, selfless, loving brother
Had ran infront of him and taken the bullet himself
He layed in his hyung’s arms. Inho promised him! Promised him he would give Junho whatever he wanted as long as he didn’t give up. As long as he didn’t close his eyes
"All I want is for you to come home. Please, come home, hyung."
Those last words will forever haunt him
Inho barely noticed Gihun kneeling down infront of him
Inho held his namdongsaeng thighter than he though was possible.
Inho was an evil man. He deserved everything the world had to throw at him
But for the love of God
Don’t take him away
Don’t take his brother away
Please
For the love of God!
"Don’t take him. Do whatever you want. Beat me. Shoot me. Kill me. Just please don’t take him" Inho said. He didn’t even know he had started to cry. He didn’t care either. All that mattered now was Junho.
And instead of taking him away…
Gihun only knelt down and hugged the body

SEALS AND SOULS
A Kang Dae-ho x Hwang Jun-ho x Fem!reader smut
Tumblr media
Summary: Dae-ho needs to get away from his crazy ex-girlfriend’s place for a few days. She came to his job and got him fired so he could spend more time with her, she grew jealous and overbearing when his sisters came over to hang out with him. He just need some time to relax without her breathing down his neck! Good thing that his best friend, Hwang Jun-ho and his wife are more than willing to lend a hand.
warnings: cucking, oral (m! receiving), fingering, b-b-b-backshots!, mating presses, hair pulling, full Nelson position, Jun-ho records everything (fucking freak—), very light face slapping, spanking, handjobs, degradation/praise, female orgasm denial, mentally abusive partners (just Dae-ho’s ex), mentioned past stalking, possessive behavior
WC: 1.8k
This fic is inspired by @meadowfics

Dae-ho sat in witness protection, a small bag in hand. He needed to get away. His girlfriend, now ex-girlfriend had done everything to ensure Dae-ho completely depended on her.
She got him fired from his job, threatened his sisters on multiple occasions, and even locked him in the house after changing the locks.
He was sick of it. He put in a report with the police. His best friend, Jun-ho was making sure to personally handle his case.
“Where will you stay?” Jun-ho flips through the case portfolio. Screenshots, records, and photos are all accounted for.
“Can’t stay with my sisters, she’ll definitely look there.” Dae-ho ran a hand across his face, he seemed tense and stressed. Shoulders square and jaw clenched.
“I have a guest bedroom, you can stay with me and my wife.” Jun-ho patted Dae-ho’s back. Dae-ho’s eyes shot up.
“Oh no, I can’t intrude. I’ll just stay at a hotel.” Dae-ho had a tight smile.
“Nonsense, I wouldn’t be a good best friend if I let do that. Plus, my wife would be furious too.”
Dae-ho finally had a genuine smile on his face. “Alright, only because I can never deny a plate of her cooking.”
“I’m home.” Jun-ho calls out to you as Dae-ho and himself enter the house. You come sprinting out from the kitchen.
“Jun-ho, you’re home!” You embrace him and kiss his cheek. Eyes drifting to Dae-ho as you register his presence.
“Dae!” You threw your arms around his neck, embracing your guest. He chuckled, and one arm secured you around your waist.
Jun-ho watched the interaction with a smile on his face, but a twist of strange desire broiled in his stomach. Watching Dae-ho embrace you, his wife was entirely innocent but his thoughts were quite the opposite.
You and Dae-ho pull back from each other. Smiling still beaming as your hands remain on his shoulders.
“My, what brings you here?” You ask, fixing your pajama shorts.
Jun-ho wraps his arm around your shoulders. “That’s something to be discussed over dinner.”
Dinner. You suddenly remember that you were making dinner.
“Shit!” Darting back to the kitchen. Your actions cause the men to laugh. Jun-ho elbows Dae-ho and guides him to the dinner table.
Shortly after a few minutes, you brought out three plates of food and a beer for Jun-ho.
“Dae-ho, what would you like to drink? A beer, or maybe some tea?”
“A beer, please.” He smiles as you nod.
When you return with another beer and a glass of water, everyone digs in. Dae-ho takes one bit and dramatically sighs, hand over his heart.
“Haven’t had a good meal like this in forever.” Dae-ho moans in delight. You giggle at his overdramatized display of delight.
The three of you enjoy a nice, home-cooked meal, light conversation filling the house packed with good laughs and heartfelt jokes.
You finally ask the big question, the one Jun-ho told you to wait to mention.
“So, um Dae-ho.” You clear your throat as Jun-ho cleans up after everyone. “Will you be staying a few days?”
He clears his throat back. “Just until the police arrest my ex.”
“Jun-ho told me a little bit, from what I heard she’s a demon sent from hell.” Your comment makes him chuckle.
“A demon? More like an overlord.” That got a booming laugh out of Jun-ho.
“[Name’s] the same way when I forgot her morning latte.”
You gasp in astonishment and Dae-ho bursts out into a fit of laughter.
You three sat on the couch, watching a show about an overdramatized polyamorous relationship. You couldn’t help and notice that the two male love interests looked eerily similar to Jun-ho and Dae-ho.
Dae-ho stood up and stretched, bones cracking and muscles contracting through his compression tee. You pressed your thighs together as Dae-ho made his way to the bathroom.
You glance over at Jun-ho, who’s looking back at you adjusting his crotch.
One nod, that one nod, and you already knew what to do.
A few minutes later, Dae-ho returns from the bathroom. He rolls his shoulders as he sits back down. You take the opportunity to trace the firm muscles of his back with your delicate hands.
Dae-ho jumps at the feeling. “It’s fine, you’re tense just relax.” You giggle.
You work your fingers into the many knots in his shoulders and his head lopes back with a groan. You get him distracted before Jun-ho takes over.
You take the opportunity to slide off the couch and sit on your knees, between Dae-ho’s man-spreading legs.
Your fingers tingle with the need to reach for Dae-ho’s zipper. He’s still lost in the feeling of disappearing stress being lifted from his shoulders to register the slow unzipping.
Gentle hands fish out his cock, holy fuck he’s huge.
You lay his cock against your face, it’s hot and heavy. His cock twitches slightly, you press open-mouth kisses on a prominent vein on his dick.
Dae-ho locks in on the sight of you, he tries to remove you from him until Jun-ho grabs his wrist.
“Let her.”
You take Dae-ho into your mouth, whining at the stretch. Jun-ho wrapped his arm around Dae-ho’s shoulders, guiding one of his hands to the back of your head.
“Go on, she’ll take everything you give her.”
Dae-ho moans as you flick your tongue over his tip. Jun-ho pulls out his phone, the flash indicating he’s recording.
Tipping his head back, Dae-ho thrusts his hips up into your mouth. Your eyes roll into the back of your head as you start gagging on his cock.
You start throbbing uncomfortably. Jun-ho noticed your twitching hands, he pats your bobbing head.
“Wanting to touch yourself while your husband records you sucking off his best friend? Such a nasty little wife.”
You moan at his words and in turn, cause Dae-ho to whimper and thrust faster into your channel.
Jun-ho keeps you and Dae-ho in the frame as he slides next to you. Fingers tracing over your soaking mound, your yelps absorbed on Dae-ho’s cock. Dae-ho finally cracks, releasing down your throat.
“Swallow.” You’re tipping your head back, taking all of Dae-ho’s cum at your husband’s command.
“Oh my god.” Dae-ho’s covering the lower half of his head with his left hand.
Jun-ho lifts you to your feet and down into Dae-ho’s lap. You rub your sticky, wet cunt still clad with your panties and shorts against him.
He hugged your back against his chest. Your legs dangle off the tops of his arms.
Jun-ho, still recording, kneels on the couch beside you. Angry red cock pointing right at you.
You wrap a small, gentle hand around the base, jerking him while flicking the tip with your tongue.
You prod your insides to accommodate for Dae-ho’s length. Three fingers darting in and out of yourself causing your arousal to flood down your inner thighs.
Jun-ho releases his tip from your pretty lips. Hand caressing your cheek before patting it with a bit of force.
“Do you want his dick inside of you?”
“Wan’ it—need it!”
“Slutty little wife.” were the last words you heard before Dae-ho connects his hands behind your head.
This action causing your legs to spread apart further. Dae-ho’s whimpers as his cock pulses against your heat.
He lifts you up slightly before making you take the full of his girth. You moan and squirm, yelping when Jun-ho spanks your clit.
“Don’t move, be good and take him.”
Dae-ho is gentle when he’s moving inside you, reaching deep and filling you completely.
His hot breath against your neck, as he forces your head to watch as he fucks you.
Jun-ho jerks himself. Watching this, seeing his beautiful wife take his best friend’s cock was always a deep desire of his.
Dae-ho moans at the feeling of your warm insides clench around him. “So good, Dae-ho more—!”
Dae-ho stands up and plants a foot into the couch, thrusting upwards into your tight heat. His hips meeting your backside every time. You scream in delight, as he fucks you.
You lock your daze with the camera and Jun-ho, watching as your husband jerks himself off to you and Dae-ho.
“Tell me, wife. Does his cock feel good?”
“So good—ah! His cock feels amazing!”
Dae-ho groans in your ear. “Fuck, Jun-ho! Your—ngh! Wife’s pussy is so f-fucking tight-gah!”
“Gonna—gonna cummm—!” You throw your head
“Dae-ho, stop.” Dae-ho comes to a hard stop, pulling out and cumming long strings that land on the couch.
“Jun-ho! Why did you make him stop?!” You swat at the phone.
He lightly backhands your face, sticking his thumb into your mouth.
“Pick the next position.” He nods at Dae-ho.
The camera captures your face as Dae-ho fucks you from behind with a hand tangled in your hair. He lifts and shoves your head up and down on Jun-ho’s dick.
Crossed eyes as he plunges you into your husband’s pubes.
Jun-ho groans, pressing your back into an arch.
Dae-ho leans over your body, breathing down Jun-ho’s chest.
“You gonna cum again, Dae?” He pants against the other man's forehead. Dae-ho lifts your head and allows you to take desperate breaths of air.
“It’s her pussy. It’s so fucking tight and warm.”
“Cum inside of her then.”
Dae-ho’s thrusts come to a complete stop. You whine loudly, weakly slapping his waist.
“I-inside…?”
“You wouldn’t mind, right baby?” Jun-ho lifts your head by your chin.
“Cum…want cum inside—please!”
Jun-ho kissed you tenderly. “If you want his cum, get into position.”
You whimper, turning around and lying against Jun-ho's chest, spreading your legs for Dae-ho.
“Go on, ask him nicely.” Jun-ho tweaks your left nipple.
“Please, Dae-ho! I want your cum inside of me!” You add a whimper to the end of your plea, hoping he’ll just bend your legs to your shoulders and fuck your brains out.
And he did just that.
Dae-ho held your legs to either side of your head and thrust deep into you with a resounding, rough clap of sweaty skin.
Each thrust was punctual. His movements were fueled with every intent to make you come.
Jun-ho pinched your clit and rolled it in tight circles.
You choke on your moan as you claw at your husband’s arms. Head dizzy and slipping, only to be pulled back in when Jun-ho squishes your cheeks together.
Dae-ho picks up his thrusts.
“You want my cum, huh?”
“Yesh—!”
Dae-ho palms a breast, pinching and pulling.
“Fuck—! Dae, please! Let me cum—!”
Dae-ho meets Jun-ho’s eyes, and your husband nods.
“Go on, cum.” You finally released at Dae-ho’s command.
You let out a wail, it pierces through Dae-ho’s and Jun-ho’s nerves, prompting both men to reach their peaks.
Dae-ho’s thick, warm seed splattered all around your insides. Thank god for birth control.
Your head is clouded and your vision is blurred when Jun-ho sets you to rest against Dae-ho’s chest.
Dae-ho pats your head, planting a soft kiss on it while Jun-ho starts the aftercare process.
“F-feeling better, Dae?” You whisper softly to him.
“So much better…” His forehead presses against yours.
Jun-ho kisses your hairline, wiping the sweat off your body.
“You did such a good job, my wife. Right, Dae-ho?”
“An amazing job.”

The only way I could see the "Gi-hun becomes the co-Frontman" theory being canon is if he joins In-ho, but betrays him to stop the games & join Jun-ho in his plan (kinda like how In-ho betrayed him in his Young-il persona).
Bonus points if Gi-hun says something along the lines of "Well, well, it's not fun getting betrayed, is it?"
That being said, if we get Gi-hun in a white robe and mask, while standing next to In-ho, I will go INSANE

Are Gi-hun’s first games In-ho’s first as Front Man?
I only ask because why did he go missing then and not before? Why was Jun-ho only concerned about his whereabouts that year? If his own games were 5 years prior, he must have been in contact with Jun-ho during that time, for him to only suddenly and recently become worried and start looking for him.
Was he made Front Man because Il-nam was dying and wanted to take part so they needed someone to run the games that year?
Or am I misremembering and being really thick here (it is possible!)

Il-nam: Let's play one more game. Gi-hun: Sure. And when I win, I'll kill you with my bare hands. Gi-hun: *wins* Il-nam: *dies of natural causes*
--
The Recruiter: Let's play a game. Gi-hun: *wins* The Recruiter: *dies* Woo-seok: Did you kill him, Mr. Seong?! Gi-hun: No. He lost the game.
--
Jun-ho: And what do you plan to do when you find the Front Man? Are you going to kill him? Gi-hun, externally: No, I'm not going to kill him. Gi-hun internally, probably: Either he'll agree to help me stop the games, and I won't need to kill him. Or he won't agree to help me, in which case all I have to do is play a game with him and win, and I won't need to kill him... because the universe will kill him for me.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'll shout it off the rooftops if I have to.
In-ho being in a position of power and continuing the cycle of abuse does not change the fact that he is equally a victim of the machine, the same way Gi-hun is, if not more.
Disagree with me all you want, but I think losing your elderly mother when you're almost 50 is completely different than losing your WIFE and the child you were going to have when you were in your 30s.
Gi-hun and In-ho are almost foils of each other. In-ho is a man that "did everything right" in his life. He helped raise his brother. He donated an organ to him. He had a respectable job. He supported his family. But it wasn't enough. Nothing would ever be enough. Gi-hun on the other hand had a failed marriage, a failed chicken shop, leached off his mom, etc. Then he lost everything as well. I am NOT saying Gi-hun deserved the suffering he endured or that he's a bad or worse person. I'm just laying down a comparison to show that both of them ended in the "same" place despite their journeys there being so different.
I believe this to be the core of Hwang Dong-hyuk's messaging. That Capitalism chews you up and spits you out no matter what rung of the latter you occupy.
This perspective extends to In-ho's role in the game. He's the "frontman," literally the man who is the "front" of the operation. He's the most exposed, the most vulnerable. If the whole thing comes tumbling down, he will likely be the one prosecuted while the VIPs go off scott free. In-ho is a representation of the "self-made" man. People like doctors and engineers who make enough money to live comfortable lives are not the people who poison our atmosphere because they only fly private or go for a five-minute joyride in space.
I grew up very poor (like sitting on the floor of the kitchen to eat because we couldn't afford furniture poor), and I am intimately acquainted with how the middle class can feel like the enemy. It was the middle-class kids who made fun of me wearing secondhand clothes as a child. It was the middle-class kids who ridiculed me for not being able to afford Lunchables. I get it. But in comparison to actual blood-money, emerald mine, child labor wealth, those kids and I were the same.
In-ho does what he does to survive. We can sit here on our moral pedestals and criticize him all we want, but when it comes down to it, he is an expendable tool, a means to an end and nothing more. The VIPs would discard him like a used tissue the second he started acting up. He does not shoot Jun-ho off the cliff because he does not love him. He shoots Jun-ho off the cliff because if he didn't, the other guards would surely kill Jun-ho, and maybe the VIPs would even order In-ho's death for breaking the rules.
I so frequently see the phrase "abuse doesn't turn people into abusers," and I agree with the concept wholeheartedly. I have PTSD and I'm not running around killing people or hitting anyone in my family. On the other hand, abuse absolutely can create the circumstances that make it possible to become an abuser yourself. Would my grandfather have become a raging alcoholic had he not watched his entire family be shot by a firing squad right in front of him as he hid in a cabinet? I can't say because I'll never know what could have been, but it would be ignorant to not at least consider that his experiences had a lasting negative impact on his psyche.
In-ho is a man so fractured by the system that he has no choice but to believe in it because otherwise it would all have been for nothing. It's a counterintuitive logic, but it makes so much sense from his perspective. He managed to survive it, to dig himself out of pit of Tartarus and live. He did what he had to do, justifying the horror as a means to an end. Then he lost everything, so where was the justification for the monster he had become? He had to turn to the rigidity of the system. Forced himself to believe that it worked. Forced himself to be a success story. Or else, there was nothing left for him.
Many people speculate on whether In-ho ever attempted suicide after the games. I think that either way, he was in a vulnerable position that was exploited to the fullest extent by Il-nam. A man who throughout his entire life had some purpose, whether it was providing for his brother or his wife, he had something to cling to. Now he didn't have anything. But Il-nam gave it to him.
Gi-hun was never scouted to participate again, not until he was becoming an unavoidable nuisance. Why is that? Because Il-nam was dying and then dead. In-ho doesn't have to follow his wishes anymore.
In-ho does not do what he does for the sake of entertainment or cruelty. He does not enjoy blood and suffering the way some of the guards do. It's a fact of life for him now. When your life is so bathed in blood it becomes difficult to differentiate the iron in the air.
Also, I would lastly like to push back on the idea that In-ho is a fundamentally bad person because he was a cop. I think that this perspective is indicative of the overwhelming presence of Americans in the fandom. I get it. I live here. Policing in the US exists as an extension of slave hunters. Police as an institution here exists to maintain the status quo and support oppression instead of stand in opposition to it. I think that there is a general lack of awareness surrounding the impact of career on social respectability in other countries. Or the importance of social respectability and status in access to things like medical treatment. In-ho chose a job that would help him support his family, that would present him as a strong head of the household in his father's absence.
His career is an extension of his entire character arc. How In-ho finds himself supporting corruption and the institution as a response to adversity and as a clutch for stability and control of his own life.

If In-ho was arrested and imprisoned at the end of season 3, can you imagine what kind of hell he'd be living in when he was an ex cop and therefore at least a handful of the inmates there must have been put there because of him?
It probably wouldn't even matter how good he was at hand-to-hand combat and defending himself, because if it was a dozen or more against one, I can't think of a scenario where he won.
Jun-ho going deranged when he found out his brother was beaten half to death in prison.
Jun-ho going absolutely batshit insane when he learned his fellow police officers just let it happen because "In-ho deserved it".
Jun-ho being torn between letting In-ho stay there and doing whatever it took to break In-ho out before he got killed.
Jun-ho teaming up with Gi-hun to help break In-ho out — because as much as Gi-hun wanted In-ho to face the consequences of his crimes, Gi-hun knew what In-ho went through was not justice.

Junhun nation, I come bearing a sneak peak!
"I can't let them jail him Gihun," he had begged him, almost in tears, "He's not… He's not like that, they did something to him, there must be an explanation just… Just let him stay here for a few days, nothing more, I won't ask anything else from you." Gihun had barely reacted: he sighed, tired, eyes empty of any emotion, and had left without a word, locking himself into his room. Given that there was not express denial to Junho's request, Inho had took one of the rooms of the motel for himself, one quite distant from the one Gihun resides. A silent agreement had formed between the three of them: Gihun and Inho must never interact; Inho is Junho's problem and his alone; the previous statement makes it impossible for Junho and Gihun to interact. These three premises are the main reasons why they have yet to talk to each other about what happened, not only on the island and the games, but also between the two of them.
