He let you have your quiet, but every now and then, he’d shift closer, his arm brushing yours, his warmth grounding you. And when he felt particularly bold, he’d rest his chin on your shoulder, pretending to read along.

“You—you don’t mind?” you’d whisper, voice so hesitant it made his heart clench. “Mind what?”

“…That I don’t talk much?”

Nam-Gyu scoffed, turning to press a soft, lingering kiss to your temple. “Nah. You talk in your own way. I like listening.”

And that was the thing about him. He never rushed you, never made you feel like you had to be more than you were. With him, silence was never uncomfortable. It was just another way of being close.
