A few 100 years ago, "Self-made" was a derogatory slur.
A fun #etymology fact straight out of the The Oxford English Dictionary!
The term "self-made" was always considered a negative, derogatory slur before the late 18th Century. The positive connotation evolved in the States after the Revolutionary War.

Word You Wouldn't Think Were Etymologically Related: Part 18
Tame and danger both originate from the PIE root *demh₂-, meaning to tame.
Tame comes from the Middle English tome or tame, from the Old English tam or tom, of the same meaning. Tam/tom was derived from the Proto-West Germanic * tam, from the Proto-Germanic *tamaz, meaning brought into the home, from the PIE *demh₂-.
Danger comes from the Middle English daunger, which meant peril but also power or dominion, itself from the Anglo-Norman dangier, a loanword from Old French. Dangier came from the Vulgar Latin *dom(i)narium, from the Latin dominium meaning ownership. Dominium ultimately was derived from the PIE root *demh₂-.
* indicates a reconstructed word

Ontology Versus Taxonomy as a Noun
Ontology differs from taxonomy (as nouns) because ontology means “the branch of metaphysics that addresses the nature or essential characteristics of being and of things that exist; the study of being qua being,” while taxonomy is “the science or the technique used to make a classification.
Used as a noun, ontology may be defined as “in a subject view, or a world view, the set of conceptual or material things or classes of things that are recognised as existing, or are assumed to exist in context, and their interrelations; in a body of theory, the ontology comprises the domain of discourse, the things that are defined as existing, together with whatever emerges from their mutual implications,” while taxonomy means “a classification; especially, a classification in a hierarchical system.”
Ontology is “the theory of a particular philosopher or school of thought concerning the fundamental types of entity in the universe,” while taxonomy means “the science of finding, describing, classifying and naming organisms.”

They’re going to make an abortion a felony. They’re going to investigate miscarriages as felonies too.
You know what felons can’t do in a lot of states too? Vote.
