Simple Fire Protection Spell

You will need the following items for this spell:

An object (preferably a piece of jewelry so it can be worn at all times)

A candle (ideally red for fire or white for all purpose)

Matches (a lighter can be used if you don't have matches)

Visualization and energy manipulation are the main skills used, being able to do both adequately is recommended. Memorizing the chant is also a good thing to have down before performing the spell but not necessary. This should be preformed over your altar if you have one or a clear space.

Chant:

Ignis contego a nocere, abdicativi vis, et volutati

Hold the object in your projective (usually dominant) hand. Hold your receptive (none dominant) hand a safe distance over the flame. Visualize its energies entering your hand and flowing into your center.

Allow it to mix with your energies and fill your being before bursting out and forming a shield of purifying white light around your body. Focus on this idea of the fire providing protection as you chant.

Visualize the energy flowing back into your center and out through your projective hand, into the object. Feel the protective power go from the fire, into you, and then into the object in a constant flow.

Now wear your jewelry for protection.

The Proper Collection of Graveyard Dirt

Graveyard dirt is essential to many spells and concoctions. However, you can’t just go grab some. At best, it won’t work, and at worst, you’ll have to deal with the ire of the spirits you stole from.

You may wish to choose your grave beforehand, or you can let the spirits guide you to the correct grave. 

If you choose your grave beforehand, do your research on the person who died and make sure that their life and death has something to do with your purpose. You aren’t just collecting dirt; you are offering to employ a spirit for your purposes.

You may wish to find the grave of a heroic soldier, police officer, or judge when you desire true justice, or your object is protection. If you desire terrible revenge, those who died violent deaths are usually the best to choose. If you are using your graveyard dirt for love (or protection), you can gather dirt from the grave of someone who loved you, or from an ancestor. And so on.

Before you enter the graveyard, pause and declare your intention to the spirits there, and tell them that you wish to treat them with honor and respect. Enter.

Find the grave of your choice. If it is dark, use a natural source of light.

Show your offerings to the intended spirit. Traditional offerings include silver-colored coins, tobacco, and liquor. If you knew the person and know specifically what they like, bring that. If you wish to be especially discreet, bring flowers to plant or bring a potted plant to place on the grave, and no one will think twice about you digging.

Tell the spirit what you need and why. Be brief, but don’t exclude important information that may convince the spirit to help you. Tell the spirit you will pay for the dirt and their help, and present the offerings. Ask them if they agree. Sit silently and wait for their permission.

When you have permission, thank them, and use a ritual knife to dig some dirt from their grave and put it in a bag. (if this is too difficult, you CAN consecrate a trowel, or use one you use in magical gardening.)

Don’t take sod. Once you’ve dug a small hole and emptied it, put your offerings into the hole as payment. If there was sod, replace it. If you were going to plant something here, plant it over the offerings.

Thank the spirit again and take your leave. Before leaving the graveyard, address the spirits again, thank them for letting you do your work, and ask that no one follow you. Spin around three times to confuse any spirits attempting to follow. Once you exit the graveyard, spin around three more times. Before entering your home, spin around three times again.

You now have an extremely powerful ingredient.

To Cause Discord Amongst A Group

Supplies:

A candle

pins 

strong twigs 

twine

a waning moon

(number of  pins and twigs dependant on how many people are in the group)

Go into the woods at night and stick the twigs into the ground in a circle large enough to stand in ( however do not stand within the circle) stick the candle with hot pins cascading down the candle. Place in the centre of the circle. Light the candle and begin to wrap the twine around the twigs while reciting the spell:

“Blackberry Bramble, thorns in your eyes, bind this tightly meet your demise, harold now this darkened song, words of hate it won’t take long”

Focus on each person within the group and focus on the outcome of the spell. 

Wait for the candle to burn down completely for each pin to drop. Leave the structure and allow nature to do away with it.

Poppet Tutorial

Original inspiration for this lesson comes from iladisparu’s Voodoo Doll Tutorial on YouTube. I make my dolls slightly differently, but they’re very similar :) 

Materials:

Yarn (color of your choice)

String

Sewing needle

Buttons

Other Accessories of your choice

Step 1)

Loosely wrap the end of your yarn around four fingers and tie a knot.

Step 2)

After tying a knot, wrap the end of the yarn around your four fingers 8-9 times. Then, remove the bundle from your hand, and, making sure it doesn’t come undone, begin wrapping the loose end of the yarn around the center of the bundle (second picture). Next, separate the bundle into four sections so that it resembles a sort of butterfly (these are going to become the doll’s limbs!).

Step 3)

Once you’ve separated your bundle into four different smaller bunches, start wrapping the loose end of your yarn around the center of the bundle to create a fifth bunch of loops (This is for the doll’s head, I recommend making 4-5 loops for this section). Then, you can begin solidifying your doll by wrapping the loose end of the yarn up and down one of the bundles of loops (do this for all four limbs). 

TIP: Every time you make a limb, wrap the loose end of your yarn around the doll’s center before moving onto the next limb. This helps keep everything together!

Step 4)

Once you’ve finished all the limbs, you can move onto the head. Wrap the loose end of your yarn up and down the bundle of loops dedicated to the head and bend the resulting stub over. Then, begin wrapping the loose end of your yarn around that, keeping in mind you want the result to look spherical. 

Step 5)

Almost there!

When you’ve finished making the head, you can either glue the loose end of your yarn in place on the doll, or, using a large needle, weave it back into the doll’s body. 

At this point, your doll is a blank canvas and ready for you to decorate however you please. I personally just sewed a couple of black buttons for eyes onto mine, but the possibilities are endless. :) Just don’t forget to give your new friend a name.

💌 gather: oil and storm water, jars, salt, a cloth sachet and cloves.

💌 place cloves in the sachet, add bag to jar and fill partially with oil.

💌 let the cloves infuse with the oil overnight.

💌 dissolve the salt in the water.

💌combine the clove oil and salt water in a jar, seal with wax.
