i read headcanons as headphones and spent 5 minutes trying to understand

I think one thing I should mention when it comes to my headcanons because I think it differs from a lot of other people

In my historical hetalia au's iceland is an adult, a young adult, but an adult nonetheless. I imagine that countries become adults at their independence, so in my headcanons, iceland turns 18 on the 17th June, 1944. But was a kid from 800s-1940s because he was never independent in that time

(some countries i do imagine being able to be independent as kids but I imagine this as young countries etc, starting out as kids, but that if they aren't independent then they don't grow up into adults just yet)

Modern times I imagine iceland being max like 19/20, he's still young and quite naive, but he's not a child. This is why I don't typically view ships like ameice or others as being problematic or bad, but if you portray iceland as a teenager and ship these than I do think you're weird, I only ship these because I don't view iceland as a teen.

Hi guys I've been quite inactive but I'm hoping to get some art done this week or the next :) I'm mentally working on a second historical hetalia au...yes second, focusing on a different aspect of how I think the occupation of iceland would go. I'm also preparing for having a job through the summer + me and my boyfriends 4 year anniversary is coming up this month, I might just doodle me and him, because he's great

I really like him! I unfortunately don't focus on him at all since finland isn't a big 0art of icelandic history, but I'm very fond of him as a character. Creators that focus on him are always very fun to follow

Last time I checked there's 11 people on iceland named Nikolai, and I gen think there's nobody on earth that shares my full first name. My full first name is Nikolai Mars, I've never met anyone or even heard of a place where this would be a common combination bcs it's even strange for ivelandic standards and nordic atandards

It's not super rare but it's very uncommon, I NEVER meet anyone named Nikolai (╭ರ_•́)

im a big fan of the word nocturnal (big surprise there/sar) i like most words in icelandic because i think icelandic is just overall a very pretty language. but im also biased on that
