SO UMM WHERE DO I START

so first things first, I am not gender expert, if you think that Alucard is a cis man with shaved balls and a huge cock that’s fine, but please just do not hate. I might get some things wrong because… *checks notes* english isn’t my first language? Yes, I can write all of this but I cannot write a basic ass introduction for my uni homework. Also, fuck gender. It’s too confusing.

I want to start by saying that I don’t really share the headcanon of Alucard being gender fluid because hmmm idk I don’t hate it it’s just that, I wish there were more things about him that screamed “gender fluid” instead of just him turning into a little girl to tease the shit out of Walter.

So as you guys know Alucard doesn’t give a single fuck about his physical form, he can become shadows, vlad dracula, girlycard, a dog even ? Yea, that’s cool, but I think that’s the exact reason he might be Agender. He simply doesn’t care.

Think about it, Alucard doesn’t identify or feel as a girl when he was girlycard, he just didn’t care as long as he annoyed Walter, he didn’t care when he was Vladcard as long as he.. uh, I don’t really remember why he turned into Vladcard, but I’m sure the reason behind wasn’t because he felt like a man in that moment. Not even when he’s in his more “Alucard” form, you know, red trench coat, black hair, etc, etc.

I think that every time he shape shifts he just doesn’t give a shit about the gender. It’s like it’s a completely secondary thing that happens when he just do his thing nevertheless if he’s a man, woman or a dog.

Like, if Integra needs him to.. idk let’s say infiltrate into a convent, what would be the most convenient thing to do ? Turn into a woman I guess. He’s appearance shifts into a fem presenting one not because he wants to shift his gender as well, he does it because it gets the job done.

This also applies to his Alucard form —I’m so sorry that’s such a stupid way to say it— he just doesn’t give a fuck if he’s masc presenting as long as he gets a physical form aaaand also he gets into those damn clothes, he really wanted that red coat.

I could say he’s agender because I believe he doesn’t want to limit his physical form nor his existence as a vampire into a binary or, dare I say human thing. Of course there’s a agender humans out there! But, imagine an agender vampire, that’s mind blowing.

Alucard accepts his nature as a monster and lives his truth as one, even if he hates with his guts being a beast —Oh, that might be a good reason you can headcanon him as gender fluid perhaps, didn’t think about that one!— And we can see that, his connections to gender are just not the most important thing to him. If he uses his gender, it might just be because of his selfish reasons or his job. I mean, do you see Riocard? Damn.

I think I could add more things but I don’t know how to express those words in english. If I said something wrong or that could be transphobic, please let me know, I know I’m not the most educated person about this topic, but I know I can always do better.

Also, if you headcanon Alucard as trans —binary or non binary —that’s also great! I really think he fits the gender non conforming label, so don’t be afraid of showing off your craziest head canons about his gender as long it is not like, idk, offensive or sexist ?? Perhaps.

hate to pop bubbles but i dont think Integra remaining a virgin til the end was because Hirano Kohtah is so progressive he made his main character an ace rep 😭🤐 like we have to confront the very uncomfortable aspect of Hellsing which is the "only virgins can be vampires" rule and how it only applies to Integra and Seras, the two characters that could be seen as "good sided" characters. It was kinda giving serious Madonna-whore complex I am not kidding. Me personally i find that rule ridiculous as hell and as far as i am aware of, Hellsing is the only vampire media with that fuck ass rule. Like come on now virginity especially one imposed by religious institutions is one of the most oppressive and damaging concept to feminism. I mention this because I don't think it's a fair evidence to use to prove Integra is canonically implied to be asexual. On the contrary, given her upbringings, it could be seen as an oppression as we are not fully aware whether she abide by the oath willingly or not. It was instilled in her from young age of course she still thinks it is "her duty to remain chaste until marriage". That is an absurd rule. People should be allowed to choose for their own sexual experience and exploration safely. She is canonically groomed into these so called "duty" and "responsible". She is however heavily implied to be within the ace spectrum from my perspective. She was not shown to have expressed attraction towards anyone she wasn't familiar or already had a close connection with, which overlaps with demisexual experience. That is purely my headcanon. It's unfair to shove your headcanon on other people.
