a 'little something' i whipped up because i hadn't made proper clothing cc in awhile. have @gildedghost's lovely earth angel dress converted to ts2, paired with @madlensims' riley pumps in fullbody, top-only, and pantless shoe versions! 🥰

everything is for tf-af only, with teen female repo'd to adult female. all morphs included, naturally. the highest-poly thing included is the fullbody outfit, which is max 5k polys. proper polycount listings under the cut! the dress comes in 16 swatches; the shoes 9, categorised as everyday/formalwear.

saw this while browsing @gua-cc's page and thought it was super adorable, so here you go! their adorable avocado sofa armchair converted from ts4 to ts2. goes well with my previous fruit-themed seating 🥝🍊🍓

as in the preview, it's 1694 polys, and has 2 swatches as well as 2 subsets (the avocado and its cushion). find it under comfort -> armchairs for $100. looking forward to converting more of gua's cc in the future, it's all so lovely!

hello, yes absolutely, it can! i run my game through lutris using osab's installer version, and it comes with all RPC fixes 🩷

as @theonlybegottensim suggested, have @gua-cc's air conditioner set converted from ts4 to ts2! because in this heat, your sims deserve to keep cool, too 😎 these are based on @jacky93sims' air conditioners, which are based on simlogical's!

there are 2 types: wall and floor standing. you can pick if they are functional or decorative; you can have both versions in your game, so no worries! everything is roughly 300 polys. there are subsets for both the base and the screen in front. oh, and each type has clean as well as dirty swatches, for a total of 6 base recolours and 3 screen recolours ~ !

Hi Ky ! Do you know if SimPE and hair binner work for Linux? I'm considering on making the switch, but I dont think I want to duelboot or use my old laptop for cc creation if I can't do it on Linux

hi spell! we're still trying to get simpe to work (we think it probably could, with some fiddling; some people have reported it working, and we've already had major breakthroughs with getting reshade to work!) but i think the hair binner should, for sure. here's me running it through lutris ^-^

okay, there has just GOT to be either something in the new windows update, or something in new windows installs, because i'm getting pics from people with such a variety of graphics cards of just terrible, terrible pink soup all of a sudden... from RX to RTX...

something cutesy suggested by @grilledcheese-aspiration: @pixelunivairse's sleek n' steel mini fridge recolours converted from ts4 to ts2, plus the discover university fridge they're on itself! this is just the mesh and pixelunivairse's recolours; i decided against converting the maxis ones because they were a bit too generic to me 😅

the fridge is 1246 polys, comes in all 17 swatches, and is functional as, well, a mini fridge! it is animated (with some caveats, see below the cut) and has different morphs for under- and out of-counter placement. perfect for your cutesy sim kitchens!

unfortunately, the glass texture of the inside of the fridge is kinda warped? it looks like that in milkshape too, i really don't know why 🙁 there is also a transparency issue where the top of the door appears transparent, but it shouldn't be too noticeable? i hope...

hellow, new update, for now this is gonna look a bit more like a random thoughts / gameplay simblr...

ts2 is running amazing on fedora 41 - i'm legit not getting ANY pink even with a full stress test of high lot imposters, a TON of high-poly cc, etc! LITERALLY my dream!

but, unfortunately, i haven't got simpe, milkshape, etc. to run yet. which i've been procrastinating for some time due to lack of tutorials but also laziness, i'm liking my new schedule and i can finally enjoy this game the way will wright intended 🩷

A FINAL UPDATE FOR MY PINK SOUP EXPERIMENTATION

at this point, i have tested sims 2 on the latest windows 11 on various other PCs in my house, with both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. there's barely any difference. i still am experiencing major crashing and pink soup issues on systems with an RTX 3060, RX 580, GTX 1660 Ti, and of course my 7900 XTX. dxvk, new drivers, literally everything great minds like @osab and @brandinotbroke and many others have suggested has done nothing.

BUT!

at their suggestion, i tried Linux. Fedora 41 as i said above.

AND ALL MY PROBLEMS HAVE GONE AWAY.

other games are now running smoothly too with 0 errors and crashing; of course i don't have access to the same apps and ease of comfort as i did on windows, but hot damn, i can play sims 2! with and without cc! again!!

i am also not the only one, funnily enough! in our tests this massive pink flashing issue seems to affect not just my PC, but many others who have both NVIDIA or AMD graphics cards. the only link we have found... is windows 11.

with Linux it just all goes away!

so tl;dr;

IF YOU ARE HAVING PINK FLASHING ISSUES ON YOUR WINDOWS 11, IT IS LIKELY NOT YOUR PC, IT IS AN ISSUE WITH THE LATEST WINDOWS UPDATE!

so do NOT go out buying yourself an RTX GPU or a new CPU, it is just NOT going to help! don't bother with trying to reinstall windows because literally it has done nothing for me.

our current theory is that something is screwed with the latest update. in directx, in texture memory allocation - literally do not know. all we know is that a different OS just - fixes it. literally and figuratively like magic.

if you're willing to learn how to install Linux and potentially a new SSD, go for it! hopefully in a few days me or someone else will have a tutorial out.
