Orange Shirt Day is an important day that honors the lives of the Indigenous children that never returned home from the Indian residential schools. On May 2021, there were 215 bodies found on a boarding school grounds. This news has inspired survivors from these schools to talk about their experience going to these schools. During our morning meetings we discuss important topics with our interns. For this discussion we watched the video, Voices of Amiskwaciy - Harold Cook’s Story. This was a video made by Edmonton Public Libraryon about Harold Cook’s experience in an Indian residential school. This recording is our honest reactions to what we learned in the video. Found this pic from one of my trips, last year I spent some time editing it and then it fell into mine just to do list never touched it after that. I’ve been having trouble finding an excuse to post it... I’m trying to remember when this was taken, the moment is lost, I found about 15 versions of this I must’ve just been sitting there taking photos of this boat for a minute or so... spending time on each frame trying to get a dress right... I never posting...lol story of so much that I do... lol
