Hope that the context for the Mary flashbacks is that she's finally sharing the story of her death and it starts with her getting off with a woman and it turns out she's having an affair and they're caught and so everyone's like "omg so sad that you were persecuted for your sexuality:(" and Mary's like "nah it was bc I gave people hallucinogenics" and everyone's like "... so why did you tell us about that woman you slept with" and Mary shrugs "just bragging"

Like they'll just be really rude (often with a poor attempt at "justifying" their opinions as facts) for no reason??

And honestly it makes me so relieved to be in the sapphic ghosts quarter bc I don't think I've ever seen anything like mitty vs fary hostility (plus I know a lot of us ship both)
