I did it. After a lifetime of using light mode on all my devices, I switched to dark mode. My eyes just can’t take it anymore, and after a few days of using it, I decided dark mode was actually kind of cozy and nice. So it was time to update my light mode art with a new version!

a child came into the nature center and saw tadpoles for the first time and when i told him they're baby frogs he thought i was lying and i suddenly realized that if you're 3 and don't know that tadpoles become frogs it does sound pretty fake. this kid will not fall for made up shit online he is a born skeptic.

overheard these two guys talking and they're like. very obviously cowboys and one of them goes "man when I was young I used to think everyone had horses I didn't even know there were ppl w/o horses" and the other one goes "shows how horseified we are"

What on earth happened to the bomb Jason put in the Batmobile and did not detonate. Surely Bruce must have noticed that his car had a bomb on it eventually right. Now imagine. You are Batman, the most paranoid man alive. The Batmobile has every security measure known to man and the only people who know the ins and outs of it are your son who lives in in another city and a British butler.

And then some fucker gets close enough to put a BOMB in it without leaving a trace of their presence and then doesn’t blow it up despite having ample opportunity to do so while you were in the car.

How the fuck do you handle that situation?

How did the bomb get in the car? Was it supposed to blow up earlier and malfunctioned? Maybe it’s supposed to blow up later? Are there other bombs? Bugs? Is there a bomb in the Batman suit too? How the fuck did this not set off the security system? Should he add more security measures? Is there magic involved?

That shit must have kept him up at night. A broken man. Paranoia dialed up to 100. Every now and then long past the incident it’ll just randomly cross his mind and he’ll be there like “who the fuck put that bomb in the car”

Naw, but I'm still kinda stuck on Countdown to Infinite Crisis.

Jason Todd, Donna Troy, Kyle Radner, Mary Marvel, and Firestorm get handed the mostly-dead body of Karate Kid and told by Ray Palmer aka Atom Man that he's been infected with the deadliest virus in the universe, and that if they take KK to Earth, everyone on Earth will die.

Jason immediately offers to finish the dude off, multiple times, and everyone reacts as if this is a horrific thing. They then take the mostly-dead body of Karate Kid to Earth (albeit Earth-51, an alternate version of Earth Prime).

Shocking news: everyone on Earth-51 gets infected with the virus. Billions-with-a-B of people die.

The story ends with the heroes realizing there's nothing they can do and they just...leave. They doomed an entire Earth to die because they couldn't stand the idea of killing 1 (one) person, and then they just peace out.

People who have read more comics than me, does this have any ramifications?? Like, are Donna et al wracked with guilt afterwards? Because if I was single-handedly responsible for killing AN ENTIRE PLANET I think I'd have to hang up my costume and admit that maybe I'm not cut out for the superhero business.

somewhere out there right now is a kid with curly hair being raised by people who have wavy hair at best and those people are giving them 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and telling them to dry brush it. and that kid is gonna spend all of middle school and high school hating their hair and moping over the flat iron. they're being told right now that if they don't dry-brush their curl pattern into oblivion every morning it means they're unkempt and gross even though they naturally have the kind of ringlets that a thousand bridezillas would commit horrible murders for every june. it's happening right now it's an absolute epidemic and a tragedy every time
