Artemis sighed and crossed her arms at the other girl, trying to think back and figure out what the best way to summarize the past week would be. “Well... first the Director - I’m assuming you’ve heard about that already - sent everyone texts asking us to decide who would be the next person to get attacked, and then at a school event some freshman got stabbed. I think he’s still alive... but yeah, that’s basically it.”

It was too early and too cold to function this morning. Beverly trudged through the icy weather, cup of coffee scalding her hands. She had a maroon scarf wrapped around her neck, she was on her way to the library, wanting to get some studying done and was walking briskly. She didnt see the patch of ice on the ground and slipped, coffee flying out of her hands as she landed on her back. “Mother of fuck!” She hissed.

Artemis hated being up this early, but one of her project partners only had a couple of times that they could meet up, and so there she was, walking through campus towards her building. She still had a bit of extra time before she had to meet with her partner, so she came out of the coffee shop with a giant coffee in her hand, only to see someone slip on the ice. “Oh my god.” She quickly set her coffee down on one of the tables outside, moving carefully to help the other girl up. “Are you okay?”

Candy sat across from the other sipping her coffe, a copy of the paper gripped between her own fingers.”It doesn’t really make sense does it?” she said shaking her head. “Honestly its probably just an exaggeration, they probably like lit it on fire or something and they blew it all out of proportion.” Candy folded the paper, letting it drop onto the table. “I um-do you wanna go grab something to eat maybe?” she asked the other feebly. “You seem nice and I dont’ have many friends here yet, I just transferred in to be with my brother.” 

Artemis sipped at her own coffee and just shook her head, setting the paper down on the table. She’d read through the beginning of the article carefully and then skimmed for any other details she may want to know, but didn’t want to bother much other than that. “Yeah that’s probably all it was. But still, they shouldn’t just lead people on like that.” She said frustratedly, taking her cup in both hands to warm them up a bit. “Oh, yeah, sure. I was getting kind of hungry anyway.”
