Have you ever heard that “There is a beauty to introversion... We introverts, wear our chaos inside ourself”. Thats exactly what ‘Letters in the Rain’ is about. Author has beautifully portrait story of Aman in third person. Aman is an introvert who had no life outside of studies. He keeps a diary, where he writes what he couldn’t show to world. His father explains him the dominance of society but like they say “There is no better teacher than Experience”. Aman liked to be by himself until he enters Manipal for his engineering. There he meets this jolly character- Kiara. She is a girl with an average mark-sheet and an excellent grip on piano. Engineering wasn’t her cup of tea and so she knew it. She ingress just because her father wanted. Music was her passion and solace apart from strolling new places. Fortuity, Aman was forced to partner up with Kiara for a Chemistry project. Eventually they grew fond of each other’s company. They even went on sightseeing together in Manipal. What was wrote in his diary, now he started sharing it with her. She pushed him to show his write ups to world through their college publishing organisation. She became his inspiration. She recommended his name to a friend, Girish(Editor-in-Chief of Manipal Writers Mania) and his was accepted. From texting to phone calls, Kiara and Girish gets into a labelled relationship. And Aman who adored Kiara, fells dismantled after knowing this and stops writing. This is when a mysterious character is plunged into the story.
