Journal entry #3 -16 September 2024

Normal day of my life

After the holiday week, here comes another stressful and tiring week for me. I miss the holiday so much. But now I need to focus on my works and assignments. Load of presentation and assignments need to be done in this month. But I still can manage my time through this hard work. I wake up at 6:30 am and get ready to class. Like usual day, the class end early and I go to library to study a bit. After a few hours, I went to the café and bought some food for me to fill my empty stomach. While waiting for the bus to move, I scroll through my phone and suddenly there is something silly happening in front of my eyes. Sitting by the window, I saw a full squad of boys wearing  the same shirt and it was so cute. And they walk together with a same walking style. So silly.

            In the afternoon, I went out with my friend to the mall. At first, we plan to do food hunting but suddenly we enter a karaoke place. Well, we get student price and we have fun in there, though we are not fully satisfied because our song is not the list. Searching for few times, we just sing the songs that are on the list after giving up. After that, we went to Lotus. I thought I don’t want to buy anything but I found my favorite snack so I can resist not to buy it. After the basket was full, we ready to pay. While my friend waiting in the line, I go to the self-checkout counter since I just bought a few items. When I try to pay with my card, the payment was unsuccessful. With the help of my other friends, I finally get to pay it. I was so frustrated and scared since I don’t have enough cash with me so card is my only method of payment.

            Without realizing, it was already night. Going back home, I shower and do some works before getting to sleep. The next day, I went to my class and answer a few tests from different subject. I can’t say that it was easy but it’s not that hard. But I know I did my best and ready for any results. After the test, I went to the foodfest held on the campus. So many foods stall was open there. The place is full of aromatic smell of foods. I bought an Italian dish which is a bowl of nachos and a meatball spaghetti. Though the price is a bit pricey, but the food is fantastic. I really love it. So that is how my week goes by with me spending my money the most for food. Well, who can resist the delicious food. Everyone will be tempted anyway. And same goes for me.

Journal entry #2 -26 August 2024

Holiday break?!?

A week pass with me still struggling with my assignment. But this is week is a happy week. Its holiday break week. I feel so excited to join the family day arranged by my father’s side of family. At first, I thought I might not be able to join but after the lecturer announce there is no class on Friday, I was so happy. Thursday night, after packing my stuff I wait for my family to pick me up at hostel. Though it was a long wait, but it just for only a few hours. My family arrived at 10pm. Skipping downstairs to the gate, I felt so happy to see my family after a long time. Getting in the car, and the journey starts. That night my father plan to go straight to my grandma’s house so it will be easier for us to join the convoy. The family day was held at a riverside homestay at Kampung Batu, Sempeneh. We arrived at grandma house past midnight, as I recall it was 2 in the morning. I fell asleep trough out the whole ride so I didn’t realize it was already that late.

            The next morning, I woke up and get ready then I help my grandma to pack some stuff to bring along for the family day. My father and my uncle start the car and we are ready for the ride. It was long boring ride through a highway. The road is empty and there is no store nearby. Luckily my mother bought some snack and buns. So, me and my brothers didn’t starve through the whole ride. Beside we already went to breakfast at the roadside stall near the gas station before entering the highway. During the journey, I was listening to a music through my headphone while my brother was playing mobile games in his phone. I also fell asleep for a few times and we still half way through the destination. It was past 12 am in the morning. It’s been a few hours after we left the house at 6 am. Now, we are at the rest station on the side of the highway. Getting down from the car, I breath in deep breath and stretching my body since my body start to feel numb from sitting in the long period of time. After a few minutes of relaxing, we are back one the road and we are still far from the destinations. And me being a passenger in the back going back to my slumber. Few hours later, we finally there. The place is located in the middle of the forest so my father having a hard time finding the small road. The place is full of green and the river is clear. I was so excited that I might jump into the water at the spot. Unload our bags from the bonnet, my mother grabs the house key and register our family name on the family day list. Luckily, we got the room at the front near the open hall so it was easy for us to standby for any activities.

            The day went by with full of activities and fun. I really enjoy my time there and not forget to mention the river is really relaxing and calming my nerves.  Although for me it fell kind of short and I want to enjoy more, but it still a fun and joyful moments. We share our laugh together after a long time we haven’t met each other. Such a great time it was. Hoping that we can do the same in the future.

Journal entry #1 -12 August 2024

Assignment week

Since it near final, all students busy with all the works assigned. Beauty sleep? Don’t know what it’s feel like anymore. Even a tiny nap, I feel blessed. Well, that is the normal life of being a student. Tight schedule and loads of works may be a little cramping up. But if you manage it well, it will be easy for you. Today, I wake up at 7:30 am. Luckily, we didn’t have any class for this morning. I slept for a few hours only since I was so busy staying up all night working on my assignment. What a tough job it is. After shower, I start working back to the assignment. Since I am not a morning person, so skipping breakfast is normal for me. Few hours engaging with my laptop, finally the works is done. What a nice feeling after getting it done. The happiest moment ever.

             The clock ticking, showing it was past 12 pm in the afternoon. Relaxing while strolling through media social a bit after my works is done, I get up to get ready for class. Also feeling hungry, I quickly dressed up and go to campus. The class start at 2 pm, so there is still an hour left. Walking to the café, I search for a place to sit. Getting some rice on the plate with sardine on the side, I fill my growling stomach. It cost me only rm7 for the plate and rm3 for the drink. The dish is delicious and cheap. Really student friendly. After that I went to the library since it still early to get to the class. The cold air welcome me upon opening the door. Sitting down, I took out my laptop and working on the other assignment. Without realizing time past by so quickly. Packing up, I rush to class. Gladly, I arrived on time followed by the lecturer after me. Its 4 pm already, time to return to the hostel. Passing by the café, I bought some sausage and eat it in the way. So yummy. At night, I went to food court with my friends. Talking about how the day goes and other stuff. Past 9 pm, we went back to our room. Packing my bag and did some works, I get ready for bed. At 11 pm, all night out and I drifting in to the dream. So that is how my day went by.
