Paladin: That’s it! You’re all grounded. Bard, no seducing for you. Druid, no wild shape for you. Warlock, no Eldritch Blast for you.
Paladin: And… *looks at Rogue*
Paladin: Oh my god, is there anything you love?
Rogue: Revenge.
Paladin: No vengeance for you.
Rogue: I was gonna say ‘I’ll get you for this’ but I guess that’s off the table.

Fenris: Hawke. I like you too.

Fenris: Full homo.
Hawke: Oh thank god!

“Writers - if you’re stuck on a scene and don’t know how get it done right, don’t be afraid to use filler[.] […] Just. Keep. Writing. You’ll figure it out. Sometimes all it takes is writing a later scene to crack it.“ (C. Robert Cargill)

What is wrong with Wendigos? I understand there's *something* wrong, but what is it?
They’re sacred spirits in Algonquian culture, and in other Anishinaabe cultures. They’re the physical embodiment of true evil, the result of humanity falling to its lowest, and a constant threat in the eyes of Anishinaabe people. We not only fear them as monsters, but as ourselves as well since they’re a constant reminder of what we have the potential of becoming if we ever let ourselves fall prey to that sort of greed of cruelty.
They’re so terrifying that many people are taught to never say their name aloud or to only say it under specific circumstances to avoid calling the attention of one; I, personally, was told to never say their name on winter nights, but I censor it no matter the time or season just to be safe. Many of us are also taught to keep them out of media. They’re not like vampires or zombies or other evil monsters that can be adapted for fun tv shows or games; using them casually is disrespectful to what they are and what they mean to Anishinaabe people.
They’re also one of the absolute most appropriated Native spirits. Their depictions are bastardized (where tf did the bipedal deer thing come from???), their history and meaning are reduced to “evil and cannibalistic”, and Native people are mocked and harassed for daring to ask for them to be treated with respect. People can never just accept being told that we don’t want them being used in non-Native media, no matter how much research is done or how “respectfully” they’re included; we just want w*ndigoag left alone entirely.

what are your thoughts on the personality of the warden, hawke and the inquisitor? i feel pretty weak writing with the inquisitor, like its harder to make them have really different personalities. they are all pretty bland, unless u want to be a jerk. especially with a dalish elf as inquisitor, i really think that its unrealistic how they can't have stronger opinions.
youre so right, warden and hawke have a LOT more personality than inquisitor. and it makes zero sense for all the different races to be exactly the same.
i would have so loved more custom lines like warden where you can call other characters out, like CASSANDRA and cullen for example who are so aggressively pro chantry/templar
there is a bit more dialogue with iron bull as a quanri but yeah, nothing really remarkable about the inquisitors unfortunately. though i love all of my ocs to pieces lol
