Gliding through the calm water on this endless summer night, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. The bottomless heart of the world just keeps on giving.
A bald eagle swoops down right in front of my canoe, to catch a fish and carry it home. A coyote strolls quietly by along the shoreline. The geese bring their babies by and proudly show them off. The air is warm, the water is cool, and the songs of the birds and insects are music to my ears.
I stop and watch, and listen, and appreciate every moment. I can hardly believe that such a kind, perfect environment exists. My heart overflows with love for this amazing life.

Today was a day of overcoming past insecurities. Today I was naked in front of strangers and I’ve never felt more comfortable in my own skin. I didn’t focus on how my stomach looks when I sit down, or how my thighs rub together when I walk, or how my skin looks without makeup. Today I simply swam, talked, and hung out with my new friends.
