I feel like there's a good story to this. How did you come to love Kallamar?

I've answered this one before but it's a story I like telling lol, I'll go a bit more in-depth this time

I started to love him properly sometime last year when I was making up new headcanons for The Bishops and designing my own versions of him, and the ones I made for Kallamar really stuck with me - I was all like "aaawwwh he's adorable he's so silly haha. What a coward what a loser I love him sm." I started getting a little bit biased and worked on his character a bit more than I did the other Bishops, who I got to later.

Anyway following this enjoyment of Kallamar I started to draw him a bit more, made me feel nice. I kinda just defaulted to thinking about Kallamar when I was sad and then when I was happy, which just made me draw him more.

September 2nd 2024. I decided to experiment with a new kind of lineart style where I used colored lines instead of solid black ones and for some reason my first thought to draw was a bit of artistic nudity with Kallamar. I was finished with the sketch and started to line it, then I was lining his face and suddenly said out loud to myself "oh my god he's my comfort character". I ended up telling my friends about this new revelation and they were all like "yeah no shit". It's been a growing love since then.

To be honest it partially started as a bit, but I've just come to love him more and more and more. Every Kallamar is gorgeous to me and I love seeing all the different Kallamars people draw. I'm very happy to exist in a world where I can see Kallamar :>

Narinder and The One Who Waits

"Lots of people feel so many different ways about The One Who Waits. Never would I have expected Narinder of all people to be one of the people with the strongest feelings towards him, much less for those feelings to be so... negative. He hates him so much, insists they are not one and the same, if he cannot shift the topic away from him he quickly gets so emotional and unstable... When our eyes met in the afterlife, the manic smile was not one I recognized, but I figured it was... it was just the way he is now. Then I see him again, I see him hard at work in the cult, despising his own power, trying to make things right... it seems so- gaaagghh... so... out of character for him... so far from what I had expected- it- it... it seems so out of character for someone who would torture his dead siblings before sending their souls away in glee. In fact, I could hardly imagine him doing anything like that without breaking down in tears over it... It feels almost wrong to be upset with him over the actions of someone he hates - someone he wants absolutely NOTHING to do with - but those actions don't just disappear. If I can't blame him, then who's really to blame for everything that happened...?

I was thinking about your Shamura and quickly sketched this sequence after remembering an old joke from one of my favorite shows, picturing two of my own follower characters talking to and taking a peek at an old picture of Shammy before the brain hurty

rare appearance of shamura in the cult before their giant gaping head wound finally got healed.......coherent enough to remember they used to be JACKED, but immediately forgetting what they were talking about and wandering away to chant foreboding, creepy rhymes in a random corner somewhere.

I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE REFERENCE IN YOUR COMIC IS FROM, BUT THIS STILL MADE ME LAUGH. Especially because you sent this while I was drawing something for another ask, where shamura was buff and doing a near identical pose to the one you drew??? I literally went back to my canvas and cracked up AGAIN when I saw that you predicted what my next buffmura post was gonna look like. I struggle to draw them when they weren't just a shriveled raisin, but I will take ANY excuse to draw them huge, and I will READILY accept your comic lmaoooo THANK YOU FOR THIS. I draw these characters so goofy that it always catches me off guard when a joke is made about them being hot, but in a good way, because for me it just makes it funnier when "the stud of the old faith" is just a purple spider going like :3

Doodle of big eldricht Leshy cuddle, and a size comparison for reasons.

And a bit of angst and comfort. The nightmare/cuddle trope has been living rent free in my heart forever. Every time I read a book or a fic with it it's a huge win. It pairs very well with slowburn, because characters are like "Yeah I keep them company at night they need it" and it turns something that mostly couples do into a normal daily thing. You can add a lot of these "Yeah we live together cause it's more practical" "Yeah we hug a lot but they really need it with what happened to them" "Yeah I tell them they're cute a lot, you have to pick up your friends when they have bad self esteem" etc etc

Those doodles would be late story, probably post Morgan realizing he has a crush. Leshy's not doing well at this point. Part of his nightmares include the Lamb, so maybe if he reduces them to a bloody stain on the floor things will be a bit better right?
