One of the most effective slow-burn/gradual emotional gut punches you've engineered with Micoverse is gradually having his natural curiosity + thirst for knowledge (esp. as it pertains to the supernatural) gradually erode his bright and upbeat nature as the story has gone along. Like, comparing the Cody we see in The Interview to the one in Here All Along, the effects of the comics events on him as it's gone on are stark. It's gut wrenching and I both hope things turn around for the lad, but also, the final answers remain, and those answers pertain to his father- his family- so he doesn't have that degree of distance he did with Milo's mystery. It's a very deft bit of storytelling on your part- it's been a core highlight of the narrative even before this point (where it basically takes centre stage), but its been naturally woven in enough and just 'off to the side' enough during the "who is Milo's dad and what happened to him" leg of the story that it doesn't fully hit you until you get to where we are, and you deserve praise for pulling that off cleverly.

These final few chapters are going to be brutal and I am both excited for it and also extremely Not Ready to have my heart shattered into eleventy million pieces by it.
