(OOC POST- it has been forever since i touched this blog- ello! surprised people still discover it. little helpful bit- all the blogs that end in "irl" are set post Crystallized & Quest for Lost Powers and before the Merge (so we wouldn't have to deal w/ Wu not being around and Jay being in a... weird situation)) (Pretty much all the -irl blogs are for funsies and are random story ideas that were made up with little bits of planning. I may or may not get back in to posting on here- it takes up a lot of time but it was really fun so it's up in the air!) (anyway will definitely be checking out the blogs retelling the Ninjago story cause that sounds so cooooooool!!!)

All those in-character blogs that have been floating around Ninblr lately, retelling the series from that character's POV in a liveblog format (so far I've only encountered ones for Zane and Lloyd), are so deeply fascinating to me. Not just because I have a degree in multimedia studies and subversive storytelling is a deep passion of mine - though rest assured I could happily rant about the academic intrigue of this trend for hours - but also because of the implications.

Like. Just picture in your head the mental image of the ninja at every major plot event going "oh wait! I gotta update the silly Tumblr people about this" and everyone stops the fight to let him finish his liveblog update before resuming combat like nothing happened. Or like, they experience some profound trauma, and the first thing that comes to mind is "omg just wait till my followers hear about this". I'm obsessed. 10/10 no notes, there is no better way to experience ninjago and I hope the ops keep it up
