“I’m wearing a ruched, airbrushed and screen printed top by Paalworld made in Brooklyn and a skirt I thrifted from Granru Vintage in Flatbush, BK that I reworked. My shoes are XT-6 Salomon’s and socks from the dollar store. My inspirations kind of change all the time but since living in NYC I’m seeing my style shift in a way where I’m encouraged to be more playful. Right now I love to blend feminine and masculine clothing together and enjoy mixing textures with second hand garments to make a fun and comfortable outfit. Comfort makes me feel confident and buying local.“

“I am wearing thrifted denim top from Beacons Closet, skirt is vintage Margiela, the lace belt is from Screaming Mimi’s Vintage, the shoes are John Fluevog, and bag Charles and Keith. I’m trying to create outfits from my closet to avoid buying new clothes. Most of the time I go out it’s for a friend’s occasion so I usually dress catered to their or their event’s personality. I’m also inspired everyday by the people around me!”

“I’m wearing a top with beadings, and a dress that titled itself as Tiffany Blue from High River on Taobao. The boots are No. 2201 Jolie Snaps by Paloma Wool. Stockings are The Emotional Fracture of Insects by Toetoe from China. The bag is a 2007 Christian Dior Polochon from Tokyo, just big enough for an iPad Pro. Necklaces are a. vintage Nina Ricci and a jade my mom gave me as an amulet. This morning I thought of that photo of Nicole Kidman full of joy as she leaves her attorney’s office. Maybe that’s the energy I’m going for subconsciously. Mostly, I dress for the weather, for fun, and whether I’ll get paint on me.”

“I’m wearing Demon boots, Lac Demure denim pants, No Maintenance lace shirt, and Adidas Fiorucci track jacket. I've been exploring texture & tonality – combining textures and creating different tones through the combination of textures. I don't think my outfit today necessarily reflects that, but that's my current inspiration.”

“This top is by Chris Habana (my ode to New York), my skirt was made by a Japanese remake designer, using up-cycled scrap denim. Gotta gatekeep the boots, sadly… My bag is Vivienne Westwood, the braid charm is by Something Shit (no- it isn’t my own hair), and the little leather bunny mask charm is by Lou Clifton. Everything except my top and shoes is from my store in New Zealand, Bizarre Bazaar. It’s like having the adult equivalent of the Barbie Dream Closet.”

“I’m wearing an Of Montreal band t-shirt, vintage Dior slip, vintage kimono, and ballet flats. What inspires my style currently: I’ve always been inspired by 60s and 70s references while incorporating comfort and what feels like me.”

“I have Kim Mesches bag, Prada glasses, Dolce Vita boots, thrifted wedding dress that I cut the lining out of and altered, thrifted chainmail belt, a black corset I’ve had forever from one of those stores on Knickerbocker in Bushwick. Medieval weirdcore, Joan of Arc, fantasy, romance, feeling the spring breeze on your ass inspire me. Love the no-pants/micro shorts trend – layering the look with something sheer makes it easier to wear out all day.”

“I’m wearing a vintage Custo Barcelona shirt, vintage dragon capris from the 2000s, Marni sneakers and a vintage purse from shop 925 in LA. Currently I’m inspired by strange vintage prints like this doll girl on my shirt, unexpected color combinations and in general I’m going for a sort of mermaid who goes to work.”

“My tank top is from Aritzia, skirt from Eliou, shos are leather Vibram FiveFinger shoes, backpack is Opening Ceremony, adorned with clip from Chinatown. I’m always curious about styling pieces that have an anti-fashion reputation, the challenge is exciting. My style has been influenced by playing soccer most my life paired with my love for the classics. There is always a sporty element juxtaposed with knitwear or a classic vintage button down.”

“I’m wearing a tee shirt and camo skirt from Los Angeles Apparel, dollar store socks and vintage Miu Miu heels. What inspires my style currently depends on how much hair dye is permeating in my scalp to my brain and the delirium that ensues. I like the way that my friends dress, too. I dress to make them laugh.”

“I’m wearing an oversized lingerie-print t-shirt by Vaquera, a patchwork gingham skirt by Comme des Garçons, Miu Miu ballet flats, a Balenciaga bag, and a pink iridescent bangle I found in Chinatown. Lately, my style’s been inspired by a mix of nostalgia and surrealism, like if Strawberry Switchblade wandered into a David Lynch dream sequence. I’m also obsessed with Japanese fashion. I’m drawn to exaggerated silhouettes, romantic textures, and off-kilter details that feel a little wrong, but mostly perfect.“

“Most of my clothes are thrifted, vintage, or gifts/borrowed from the women in my life: linen dress from Cloak and Dagger, vintage belt from my aunt, thrifted denim vest, Marc Jacobs mint bag, thrifted blue cowboy boots. Living in New York and seeing what other people wear on the street is where I find the most inspiration. Also shopping vintage, watching old movies, and having well dressed friends has definitely helped me find my style in recent years.”
