Might come off as repetitive or bossy but I cannot stress enough how IMPORTANT it is to cultivate your own sense of style and relate it back to yourself whenever you're in any fashion community, not just coquette!

It's really unfortunate that so many girls feel like their wardrobe isn't "coquette enough" or that they aren't "doing coquette properly" when they gravitate towards different aesthetics. That's not the point of coquette

Yes. There are definitely substyles that are preferred by the community, and some girls may even argue that you "need" to incorporate certain pieces into your wardrobe in order to look the part. But that's quite literally just their opinion

If you wanna dress Americana you don't NEED to feature red at all! If you wanna dress dollette you don't NEED to wear flowy fabrics! If you wanna dress Key West you don't NEED to wear a flower print! Even if it's "expected" from your audience it STILL isn't required

That's why relating your outfits back to you is SO important! Know who you are. Know what you like. And dress accordingly. There's no coquette panel eagerly waiting to cut you from the competition if your outfit isn't up to snuff!!
