Daily Reminder
If you ever find yourself worrying about things, you need to stop worrying. Because:
If you can fix the things and situations that make you worry, you don't need to worry. Just go ahead and fix it already!
If you can't fix the things and situations that make you worry, you don't need to worry. In the end you'd be screwed anyway, so why not enjoy the last ride worry-free?

Don't read the news. 90% of the news is D tier rage bait, completely unworthy of your attention and energy.
Focus on what you can control. Focus on what you can fix, however broken this world may seem to you. Compose music, write poems, tell stories, check in on a friend, volunteer at the soup kitchen, plant a tree, help the poor and needy in your hood...Your attention, energy, talent, and care will make a way bigger impact this way.
Oh, also, try to get off Tumblr every once in a while ;) Tumblr is cool and the real world around you is even cooler.

I'm a tech nerd and I don't trust societal solutions dreamt up by tech nerds. Especially if they are tech bros. You know, the cocky, self-assured, and Master-of-the-Universe kind of dudes, no matter their age.
Examples: cryptocurrency, DOGE, accelerationism, transhumanism...
I can't wait for that time when we actually use tech to make things actually good.

The real danger is NOT machines gain super intelligence. It is humans give up thinking and outsource their thinking to tools.

Text: Rainer Maria Rilke's poem, Music
EN text: What are you playing, boy? Through the gardens it went like many steps, like whispering commands. What are you playing, boy? See, your soul is entangled in the rods of the syrinx. Why do you lure her? The sound is like a prison where loitering and languishing she lies; strong is your life, and yet your song is stronger, against your longing leaning sobbingly.-- Give her a silence, that the soul may softly turn home into the flooding and the fullness in which she lived, growing, wide and wise, ere you constrained her in your tender playings. How she already wearier beats her wings: Thus will you, dreamer, waste her flight away, so that her pinions, sawn through by the singing, no more may carry her across my walls when I shall call her in to the delights.

Inspired by modes of traditional music and opera in southern China, and classical Chinese rhythmic meters.
Text: a "returning to the farm" poem from a 5th century Chinese poet, Tao Yuanming. Basically: "country life's rad and beautiful, don't ever wanna be back to sell my soul to some brute overlord again."
EN text: From early days I have been at odds with the world; My instinctive love is hills and mountains. By mischance I fell into the dusty net And was thirteen years away from home (maybe more).
The migrant bird longs for its native grove. The fish in the pond recalls the former depths. Now I have cleared some land to the south of town, Simplicity intact, I have returned to farm.
The land I own amounts to a couple of acres The thatched-roof house has four or five rooms. Elms and willows shade the eaves in back, Peach and plum stretch out before the hall.
Distant villages are lost in haze, Above the houses smoke hangs in the air. A dog is barking somewhere in a hidden lane A cock crows from the top of a mulberry tree My home remains unsoiled by worldly dust Within bare rooms I have my peace of mind. For long I was a prisoner in a cage And now I have my freedom back again.
