Another year, another good global game jam. This year I worked on a little boss battle prototype. You play as a lil fella battling planets made of jello.

I worked mostly on the coding, but I did get to figure out mesh deformation for the jello physics :-)

Just finished up my submission for this years Game Boy Jam! Its a game jam where you create a game boy themed game, with the restrictions of the original game boy.
Didn't have time to actually finish a game, mostly just worked on a custom pixel shader. The final result is basically a tech demo for it :-)
The project was built in Unity, and I mostly worked with Shader Forge for the pixel effect. You can try it out in browser here: https://obriencole.itch.io/forest

Just finished up my prototype for the “A Game By Its Cover” Game Jam!
My game’s a non-linear visual novel where you talk to lonely orbital satellites. It was based off this cartridge cover by Austin DuBois . I didn't actually write anything for it, but I did do all the art and programming. The builds online and playable in browser here:

My degree project is finally online!! For those who were not at the show last week, its a sci-fi mystery film built in the Unity game engine. There’s an interactive component to the film as well, and I’ll be posting about it in the following week.
Spread the word!
Features a fantastic score by Brandon Liew Voice work by John F Quirk. Also a special thanks to Alex Sussy for the SFX and UI work.
