I for one will definitely miss your August being around since there's not a lot of people dedicated to putting in the work that you do with your muses. I do hope that you'll want to return to him in the future, since you've given him such complexities that are both refreshing and admirable.

right now, i think focusing on a new character and fandom has done me a lot of good. i find bl to be somewhat toxic; it drains me. of course, that doesn't include everyone, i’ve made a lot of good friends here and admire a lot of muses. 

i’d like to come back one day, or turn my august into a private blog where i only interact with others that genuinely want him as their main august

that’s really nice of you, anon, but in all honesty i don’t know if i can????? i just don’t feel like my interpretation of august was/is well received by the rest of the community. i put a lot of effort into expanding his character and exploring a lot of possibilities regarding his past and interpersonal relationships; maybe too much effort. 

i’m probably seen as that ‘too serious’ august, or that august that’s just plain boring. i don’t believe I met peoples expectations with him nor did I indulge those who wanted little fantasy crack-ships with him; because of this my august is pretty replaceable??? 

like let’s be a bit honest, a lot of people are out to ship. i’m not saying it’s a bad thing, because it’s 100% not. i love a good ship, but that’s just not what i was interested in when taking up the character of august. i wanted to explore the complexity of his character, i wanted to dig deep and see what made him tick. i understand that everything is in good nature here in the rp community, but it’s a bit hard to feel as if your portrayal is accepted when your muse is stripped down to a token character: mammas boy, for example. 

this is such a long-winded response, anon, and i apologize. in fact it’s 2.30am and i’m feeling a bit emotional after a gruelling day at work, so i’ll probably regret and delete this when i wake up (and cringe at all my errors).

I'd say that Rp has probably changed my perception of a lot of characters. Krieg, August and Angel are probably my favourites tbh. But I also like Sasha, Nisha and Axton a lot. (:
