Kara Larsson and Ian Porter. I think that they’d be able to take care of each other in different ways. Not to mention Ian is literally the perfect boyfriend and Kara needs so!!! much!!! help!!!! in that department. Plus she’s a little wild sometimes and he’s super grounded. She’s always wanting to go on adventures or do fun things and sometimes Ian gets too bogged down with all of his family drama and she’d 100% call him out on his shit when he lets them control him/his life.

“Whoa, Harry, I’m serious.” Ian said, concerned, as Harry ordered another drink, ignoring his protests. 

Harry’d been right, though. He wasn’t the only one who was drinking more than his share of the liquor. His mother and brother both had been drinking since the moment they’d arrived (and, in all likelihood, since the moment they’d opened their eyes this morning), but they were both functioning alcoholics (short term, withholding their alcohol would probably make things worse instead of better). 

Ian had seen the daggers that Harry had been shooting his brother all evening and he knew that if he tried to keep up with Lex, that the only way this ended was badly. (Not that Ian had high hopes for the evening to be a success on any level, but he hoped that everyone would, at least, make it out alive.) 

Everyone in the room was a bomb waiting to go off, but Harry was currently the most vulnerable and Ian could tell that all it would take would be one wrong word or move or look and he would explode. 

He wanted, disappointed, as Harry drained his drink. “Hey, come take a walk with me,” He suggested, hoping that he’d at least step out and get some air.

anyway that makes sense!!!! i feel like they were thrown together more as kids then they were later on ... and I feel like since she’s walked out on that lifestyle and he hasn’t that that’s been the case for ... well at least the past like two years or so since he left va beach and if/when they run into each other again, it will probably be for the first time in awhile and iCRY b/c the last time she saw him he was happy optimistic ian who was like “gonna get natalie  back!!!” and now he’s more ~realistic!~ sellout ian hahah :/

I definitely think they would be!!!!!! Yeah, idk how well they would know each other b/c (as you said) idk that the Burrows/Quinns are/were on the same ~level~ as the Porters and therefore they were/are probs kinda in the same circles sometimes but not always y’know??? but ian would have def enjoyed cece’s company a lot and I can see him seeking her out whenever they were both at the same thing-y???? 

I feel like she and Ian probs saw more of each other in recent years tho just living in va beach, yeah???

“Thanks ... we’re gonna need it,” He said, half teasingly, but he was more serious about that than he let on. “Turns out our house isn’t the easiest thing in the world to pack up.” And it wasn’t just because of the strange, maze-like layout that had anyone (except Ian and Woodhouse) lost once they reached three or four rooms in (Lex bet that the architect had hated their mother so much, he tried to create a house that was so confusing to navigate that she might just get lost and starve in her own home), but also the memories and the finality of it all. 

This has been the only place Ian had truly been happy. 

Still, he felt the need to let it go. Holding on to it felt like holding on to Natalie and he knew he needed to move on from her ... or at least let her move on from him. 

He chuckled, “Hey, that’s a pretty good business model. They don’t teach you that in business school, but -- having your customers not die is a plus. I mean, unless you run a funeral home, but that’s a whole other thing.” 

Happy for him was the last thing Ian was ... part of him wondered if this was what Lex wanted at all, while the rest of him reluctantly knew that the chances of Lex being able to survive without their parent’s bank account were slim. “Yeah, I mean ... “ He didn’t know what to say that wouldn’t be a lie, “ ... yeah.” He cleared his throat quickly, trying to make this less awkward, and focused, instead, on answering his question, “Actually, I’m not sure they have a date yet. But I think they both have agreed on a short engagement, so ... it’ll be soon, I’m guessing.”

omg I can definitely see that!!!!! I feel like Ian would def tend to hang with Pippa/Ren over Ward/Lex tbh ahahah but .... omg so like Ian and Ginny honestly just casually dated and never really cared about each other more than just being friends and like .... ian/ginny is just not a thing that’s gonna happen pippa, stop trying to make it happen ;DDD 

that being said, ginny and ian are jsut really good friends and they’ve grown up together and I feel like they are really comfortable with each other and if pippa is like spying on them, I can see where it looks like they could/should be a thing??
