There are a few interesting pregnant!Vi fic ideas that have been floating around in my head for a while now. I personally find a lot more angst with pregnant!Vi vs pregnant!Caitlyn for some reason. I know this type of angst isn't for everyone, but hear me out.

Vi and Caitlyn had sex before the council meeting and Vi magically conceived a baby through the Arcane. It's a common setting for pregnancy angst I think. A couple months later, during her first days as an Enforcer, Vi finds out she's pregnant and Caitlyn takes her off duty. They think the baby between a Kiramman and a Zaunite could bring people together (just don't tell them the birth mother is Jinx's sister 😉.) Major character death occurs when Caitlyn is killed in battle with Jinx. Jinx kills herself. Vi is devastated. Tobias goes nuts in his grief and practically holds Vi hostage. Piltover is disgusted that a Zaunite related to Jinx will birth the next Kiramman. Vi is worried her baby will be taken away from her and she'll be kicked to the curb, so she runs away back to Zaun. She goes to the Firelights to beg for forgiveness. This distracts Ekko and Heimerdinger so none of that jazz in S1EP03 happens. Vi ends up helping Zaun during her pregnancy while also preparing to raise a baby in the middle of martial law. She ends up having a baby girl who looks just like Caitlyn.

This one isn't Caitvi (you could try and work it in if you wanted to) but it is a doozy. It takes place in Stillwater, about a year before Caitlyn shows up, which she never does btw. OC/reader is assigned a cell with Vi. Vi is immediately taken by oc/reader and they quickly form a strong, romantic bond. Things quickly grow sexual and before they know it, Vi is throwing up in the cell toilet constantly, more tired than usual, and her stomach is strangely bloated. OC/reader is scared for Vi's health. Vi gets sent to the shitty prison infirmary where they find out she's pregnant. Vi doesn't even have time to make sense of anything before they transfer her to an abandoned cell block. She spends her days and nights in that cell throughout her pregnancy. She gives birth alone and they take her baby away. She's eventually released back into the main prison population. OC/reader sees her for the first time in months and thought Vi had been dead the entire time. Vi is frail, her muscles almost completely gone, and she is depressed and angry. OC/reader and Vi fight several times due to Vi's grief from having her baby taken away from her. OC/reader is dealing with the fact that baby was somehow her's too (reader is afab.) After a few years, Vi breaks down to oc/reader and oc/reader somehow is able to put together a meeting with their child. They both meet their child and oc/reader and Vi live the best lives they can together while in Stillwater. Maybe in a sequel, they break out and raise their child together. No one still has a clue how the baby was conceived in the first place.

Imagine you and Vi are tasked to go undercover on a mission. You both end up getting stranded, drunk, and confess your feelings for each other, despite Vi and Caitlyn’s marriage. Vi feels guilty for cheating on Caitlyn so she stops talking to you. Two months later, Vi starts acting weird and more distant than she already has been. A week later, Vi comes to your apartment looking terrified, and shows you a white stick with a plus symbol on it.

And I've thought about it a little bit more. Not a lot about how the baby would be conceived. I would say it was through the Arcane as I love the idea of a magic baby. If Caitlyn and Vi had sex before the council meeting, then it would've been really emotional and for some reason they channeled the Arcane, I guess. Maybe the Arcane realized Vi was in desperate need of a family member??? ajshdjkahfks

For the rest of the events? Vi noticed she felt off but she pushed it to the side because she was too worried about Caitlyn. Then, her morning sickness and other symptoms started to hinder her new Enforcer job. She goes to a Piltover clinic for the first time and finds out she's pregnant. She assumes the baby must be Caitlyn's somehow. She foolishly keeps it a secret from Caitlyn to not stress her out and also because she's in complete denial. She reluctantly goes through with the battle with Jinx, trying hard to make sure her baby doesn't get hurt. Then, Caitlyn unknowingly hits her right in her stomach where the baby is. All of that stress and physical trauma causes Vi to miscarry a few days later, after Caitlyn had abandoned her.

Vi is devastated because her entire family is dead and the only one who is alive she tried to kill. Caitlyn had left her. And now she feels like she's no better than Jinx because she killed Caitlyn's child (she doesn't blame Caitlyn.) She goes into pit fighting and drinks herself to death. She has no idea how to deal with something like this either because she never thought something like this would happen to her. Jinx shows up because of Vander and eventually Vi tells Jinx about the miscarriage after Viktor does his jesus healing thing. When Caitlyn shows up, Vi doesn't tell Caitlyn about the baby until the jail cell. They talk about that instead of having sex (because they've already had sex.) Caitlyn obviously blames herself and apologizes profusely but Vi never blamed her anyways because she didn't know. They end up living happily ever after after the war! Or something of that nature.

I try not to think about it too hard though because if I do, I'm going to attempt to write it. I don't think there's much of an audience for it and Pregnant Vi seems to piss a lot of people off!

I have to get this off my chest so others can laugh at me OR find inspiration in it. This came to me in a dream months ago.

The most cracked-up headcanon I've ever had was in Act 1 of Season 2. My friend said Vi was fatter than usual after S2E01 and I said it was because she must've gained weight during Enforcer training. We then started speculating if Vi and Caitlyn had sex in S1E08 and if we would see that scene in a flashback. Then I joked that they did have sex and now Vi is pregnant with Caitlyn's magic baby.

I woke up and told the friend about it and she liked the idea so we made it our little "inside-joke headcanon," as you will. Vi looks thicker, fuller, fluffier as an Enforcer. My friend also pointed out that she's hormonal (I know it's because she's sad.) We both say she could definitely be pregnant and the battle with Jinx and Caitlyn hitting her must've made her miscarry. Her crashing out could've included the miscarriage and that's why she turned to drinking herself to death. All her family is dead.

My friend wants me to write a fic on AO3 but I'm not real keen on writing a whole caitvi fic. It's free for others to use the idea though, no credit needed. Please don't be mad at me, I just really love angst.
