Victoria released a groan filled with soreness and exhaustion as she pushed herself to sit up in her queen sized bed with only one good arm. The Miller woman glanced over to her alarm clock and noticed that it read in bright green numbers that it was only seven-fifteen in the morning.
Victoria furrowed her brows in slight confusion as to what woke her up. She had called into work to say she wasn't going to be coming in, so it puzzled her as to why she was awoken so early when she usually slept late during her days off. However, Victoria didn't have to question herself for much longer when she suddenly heard a loud banging coming from somewhere in the house.
The pediatric nurse immediately became worried about the noise coming from her single home - especially after her eventful night with the Galindo family - so Victoria quickly opened up her bedside table for her protection weapon before she quietly cursed. Victoria finally came to realize that she left her gun in the middle of the desert.
"Shit," the Miller woman whispered before her hazel eyes hurriedly scanned her bedroom for a weapon while she continued to hear loud noises coming from somewhere in her house. Victoria sighed in relief when she spotted a metal baseball bat leaning beside her closet door. Thank God for protective bikers, Victoria thought as she quietly tip toed over to the weapon.
Victoria carefully tightened her one good hand around the metal bat before she, as silently as she could, opened up her bedroom door and tip toed into the hallway. Once Victoria was out of her bedroom, she realized that the banging sound was coming from the kitchen area. Why the hell is someone in my kitchen? Victoria wondered in confusion.
The Miller woman knew it was pointless to question herself, though, so she ignored her puzzlement as she slowly and silently continued to travel through her house with her metal baseball bat settled high onto her shoulder incase there was someone dangerous in her house.
Victoria paused once she reached the entryway of her kitchen as her brows, once again, furrowed at what she was seeing. Inside of her small and homey kitchen was a familiar back covered in the signature Mayans kutte standing in front of her stove. "A-Angel?" The Miller woman cautiously called out as she slowly settled the heavy bat against her thigh before she inquired once he swiftly turned around to face her, "w-what are you doing here?"
The Reyes man flinched when he heard Victoria's voice before he swore, "shit," as he had planned on surprising the busy nurse with breakfast after her medical conference. "You aren't supposed to here ye-" Angel began as he turned around to face the brunette woman before he suddenly froze when he saw Victoria's injures.
Angel instantly forgot about the pancakes he was making as he carelessly dropped the plastic spatula down onto the ground before he hurriedly crossed the room and cradled Victoria's face gently in his large hands. "What the hell happened, mi princesa?" The Reyes man hurriedly interrogated as he tried to control the anger in his voice, "who did this to you? What happened in Stanford? Why didn't you call me or El Padrino?"
Angel felt like he was going out of his mind in worry as his brown irises glanced at the scratches and bruises that littered the brunette woman's face and arms before his gaze settled harshly onto the makeshift sling. The Mayan felt like his brain was working in overdrive as his mind went through all of the horrible possibilities of what could have happened to his girl and it was driving him mad with worry and a little bit a guilt that he hadn't been there for Victoria.
The Miller woman shot Angel the tiniest of smiles before she lied as she tried to continue to hide what really happened last night, "it was just an accident." Victoria knew it was pointless to continue her lie when she was talking with the very protective Angel but she still tried to anyway. She just didn't want to worry Angel too much or he would probably end up locking her up with no way of helping Emily bring back her son to them and she couldn't let that happen.
However, unluckily for Victoria, the Reyes man didn't believe her lie for even a second as he shot the brunette woman a warning glare. "Don't you dare lie, Victoria, not to me," Angel commanded before he took a deep breath to calm his rage for who could have injured his princesa. Once Angel felt a bit of his anger leave his body, the Mayans member asked once more as he stared deeply into Victoria's hazel irises, "who did this to you?"
The Miller woman released a heavy and slightly painful sigh as she knew that she couldn't lie to Angel anymore. It was stupid of her to even think she would be able to keep up her lie when Angel has always been very protective and perspective about her body language and responses over the years. Plus, Victoria figured it would best to just lay out all the cards as it pained her for even a day to lie to her best friend.
"We should take a seat," Victoria quietly muttered as she carefully moved out of Angel's grasp without hurting herself even more. The Miller woman silently placed the metal bat onto her wooden kitchen table before she slowly lowered her sore body into the closest chair that adored her small and round table that only fitted four people.
The Reyes man had anger, confusion, and worry radiating from his warm body as he quietly followed behind Victoria. The Mayans member took the seat right next to brunette woman, so he could feel her and protect her if he had to or it was just because he needed to feel her warmth after knowing she had to go through something so horrible by herself -- that was the guilty part inside of Angel.
The silence in the Miller kitchen continued for a solid three minutes before Angel couldn't take it any longer. "You're scaring me," the Reyes man mumbled when Victoria only continued to stare over at him. Angel felt like his body was going to explode any second now. He felt like he needed to teach someone a lesson but he also felt like he needed to hold Victoria from anymore dangers in their lives.
The Miller woman released another heavy sigh as she continued to gaze across at Angel before she finally spoke as she requested while she anxiously rubbed her thumb across the lines on the wooden kitchen table, "I'm about to tell you something and you might get pissed, but please, let me talk, okay?"
Angel furrowed his brows in confusion but he nodded his head, anyway, as he knew it was the only way the pediatric nurse was going to tell him what happened to her. The Reyes man silently reached across the table and gently grabbed ahold of Victoria's good hand before he began to rub his thumb against her palm as he softly murmured, "I'll listen."
Victoria, once again, let out another deep but shaky breath as she prepared herself for the anger that she knew was going to be coming from the protective Reyes. However, Victoria knew the issue wasn't going to disappear, so she decided to just rip the band-aide right off but slowly as she knew how Angel's temper could get.
"Alright," Victoria began, "so a week or two ago, I ran into Emily in town." The Miller woman silently nodded her head when she noticed Angel's thinking face before she stated, "yes, that Emily." Victoria reached over and gave the Reyes man's hand a tiny squeeze before she continued, "anyway, we got to talking and we made a plan to have dinner - which is where I was last night."
The Reyes man immediately furrowed his dark eyebrows together when he realize Victoria had lied to him about her whereabouts. However, before Angel could interrupt, the Miller woman gave Angel a pointed look to remind him of his promise before Victoria continued after Angel huffed in annoyance, "I went to dinner with Emily and Miguel. Everything went perfect until we were heading back to Santo Padre."
The pediatric nurse took a nervous and shaky breath as she connected her hazel irises with Angel's brown ones before she confessed the part that would anger the Mayan the most, "t-there was an accident. It was the rebels, Ange."
The Mayans member's brown eyes instantly widened as he knew exactly what Victoria was speaking about. "Fuck," Angel swore angrily as she ran his fingers through his dark hair. Angel was furious because Adelita told him last week that the rebels were going to hit the Galindo cartel where it would hurt but he would never imagine that Victoria would be caught in the middle of it as well.
Angel hurriedly stood up from the table before he cautiously but quickly pulled the Miller woman up from her chair. The Reyes man pulled Victoria tightly into his chest before he practically growled against her temple, "mi amor, are you fucking crazy?" Angel took a deep breath to contain his anger before he asked softer as he ran his large hand down her back, "what were you thinking dancing with the devil?"
The Miller woman used her one good arm to wrap around Angel's waist and gave his body a small squeeze before she softly assured the Mayan as she laid her right cheek onto his warm chest, "I'm fine, Ange." Victoria lifted her head after a moment to connect her hazel irises with Angel's brown ones before she assured him, "I'm good. I'm slowly healing now and besides, Nestor took me home, so I'm safe now."
Angel immediately pulled back when he heard the name of Galindo's assassin before he stared into Victoria's hazel eyes with his brown ones slightly widened. "That fucking psychopath?" The older Reyes asked before he shook his head as if he was scolding the pediatric nurse. "Mi amor, that guy is dangerous," Angel warned the Miller woman. "He's probably worst than Galindo himself," the Mayan exclaimed with a humorless chuckle.
Victoria lightly shrugged her good arm before she defended Nestor, "he's not so bad." The Miller woman knew Nestor got a bad rap from everyone in Santo Padre but he wasn't that bad that he would hurt her. Victoria hadn't known the Oceteva man that long but he was very kind and careful around her, so she didn't see any reason to really worry about Nestor.
"You know you can't trust anyone who isn't the Mayans," Angel reminded the Miller woman before he added as he thought about the assassin, "especially when it's someone who's working for Galindo." The older Reyes had met Nestor a hand full of times and he had never set well with Angel. He always felt like Nestor thought he was better than everyone else because he's best friends with Miguel and he was just too cocky for Angel's liking.
Victoria couldn't help but stay silent at the Mayan's words. She didn't usually trust people straight away from her life in Charming and with Motorcycle clubs in general but there was just something about Nestor that made Victoria want to trust him wholeheartedly. The Oceteva man haven't gave her any reason to not trust him, so Victoria couldn't agree with Angel like she usually did.
Victoria wasn't just going to judge Nestor because of his career choice or who he surrounded himself with. That would be hypocritical of her when she had surrounded herself with people who others would consider 'bad people' her entire life. She wasn't any better or different from Nestor, so she had no reason to not trust Nestor at the moment.
The Reyes man didn't really like how Victoria stayed silent to her not trusting someone in Galindo's circle but he didn't push it when he was more worried about her. "So, what exactly happened last night?" Angel questioned as he lightly ran his thumb across the palm of Victoria's good hand as if he needed to touch her to make sure she was okay.
Victoria released a heavy sigh as the memories of the last two days came into her mind before she took a seat back at her small, round kitchen table as she prepared herself for her story. "It all happened after dinner when we were on our way back to Santo Padre," Victoria began to tell Angel what happened once he joined her at the table, "we were driving down a dark road when this car ran the SUV off of the road. The car had flipped multiple times, I think."
Victoria lightly shook her head with her brows pulled together. "I think I passed out for a few seconds or minutes, I'm not sure," Victoria mumbled before she focused back onto the story. "Anyway, I don't really remember much about what happened but what I can recall is that one of them shot and killed the Galindo family's bodyguard when he told the Rebels to leave," Victoria recalled before she pointed towards the bruises on her face.
"That is from when I got into a fight with one of the males," Victoria explained before she added with a humorless chuckle, "I was trying to protect Cristobal and Emily and they didn't exactly like that I was fighting back." The Miller woman glanced down to her arm in the sling before she mumbled with a frown, "that's when they snapped my arm and escaped with the baby."
Victoria knew it wasn't her fault and that there was no way she could have stopped three rebels on her own but she still feel felt guilty that she wasn't able to keep her childhood best friend's child safe. The pediatric nurse just wished that she could have fought and tried harder to keep baby Cristobal away from the rebels.
Angel was absolutely livid after hearing everything that Victoria had to go through. Angel was pissed because he knew that this was going to happen but he hadn't done his job in keeping Victoria safe like he has always promised to her, to Happy, to Pops, and to Jax. The Mayan was even more pissed because Adelita swore no one would be hurt. But most of all, Angel was pissed at himself for putting Victoria in danger without even thinking about this possible outcome.
The Miller woman honestly thought Angel was pissed because a child had been hurt but other than that, she didn't understand why his face was turning so red with anger or why he was pacing her kitchen while he cursed up a storm. It wasn't like she was hurt that bad, so it couldn't be that.
"Are you okay?" Victoria cautiously asked before she quickly added as if to assure the Mayan, "I'm sure Galindo will have all his people out looking for their son." Well, at least, that was what Victoria was hoping. Victoria really hoped that Miguel will be able to find the baby as quickly as possible with the help of all the people he knows. No child should be put in the middle of all of this.
The Reyes man had his back towards Victoria as she spoke and he was glad that he did, so she didn't see the mixed emotions he had when Angel ultimately decided that he would lie to her. Angel didn't want the Miller woman to be even more involved than she already was with the Galindo family after what happened with the rebels and he wanted to keep Victoria as safe as possible, so Angel figured his best option was to lie.
So with his plan in mind, the Reyes man took a silent deep breath to get control of his anger before he slowly turned to face the worried Miller woman with a calm and unbothered facial expression. "I'm good," Angel muttered as he took at seat back at the kitchen before he gently grabbed ahold of Victoria's good hand and gave it a light squeeze. "I was just thinking that Bishop will want to hear about this and help find the kid," Angel lied right out of his ass when he already knew who had the Galindo child.
"That's good," Victoria muttered after she released a small sigh of relief. "They need all the help that they can get," the Miller woman commented. Victoria furrowed her brows as she added, "I don't know much about the whole cartel business but I know it's gonna be hard to get Cristobal back from the rebels."
Victoria only knew things about the rebels from what she had seen from the news but she was still incredibly worried for the small child. The Miller woman had seen first hand how much it screws up a small child from being caught in the middle of something like this.
Victoria could remember like it was just yesterday about how much Abel had struggled when they finally brought him home from the IRA. The Teller boy was very quiet and cried for months after the fact before he was himself again. Luckily, Cristobal is younger than Abel, so hopefully he won't suffer as much.
The Reyes man leaned over the table and placed a soft kiss onto Victoria's temple. "Don't worry too much, mi princesa," Angel told the Miller woman before he assured her, "Galindo has an army behind. I'm sure the kid will be back home before you know it." The Mayan firstly wanted to calm Victoria's worrying but he also wanted to try to get her mind off of it because he know how much Victoria liked to help the people she cares about - Emily - and he definitely didn't need the pediatric nurse to get involved into this.
Angel stood up from the kitchen chair as he focused on distracting the Miller woman from everything that was going on before he muttered as he decided to focus back onto the food that he had been preparing, "let's see if I can save breakfast."
Victoria lightly chuckled as she could definitely smell the burnt pancakes on the stove. The Miller woman slowly stood up from her seat as well before she suggested, "why don't we just go down to the diner for some breakfast that we know will taste good?" Victoria didn't exactly trust Angel in her kitchen and she was too tired to babysit him right now like she usually did when he wants to cook.
The Mayan instantly turned towards Victoria as if she had just offended him. "I know how to cook!" Angel loudly exclaimed before he quietly mumbled as he turned around and looked down to the burnt pan of pancakes, "you just took me by surprise, that's all."
"Well, my bad," the Miller woman giggled as she leaned the right side of her body against the counter while she stared up at Angel in amusement. "I'll make sure to not to get hurt again for the sake of your breakfast skills," Victoria sarcastically joked since they would usually cook together.
Angel turned his head and looked over to the pediatric nurse with a deep frown embedded on his face. "Don't joke about that," the Reyes man ordered as he still felt so much guilt over Victoria's injuries. "It's not funny," Angel quietly mumbled as he cautiously grasped Victoria's bruised face between his large and rough hands.
"I'm sorry," the Miller woman sincerely apologized as she could see how serious the biker was taking her injuries before she leaned up and pulled Angel into a gentle kiss. "You know I use humor to deal with things," Victoria mentioned with a small pout.
Angel couldn't help but release a small chuckle as he nodded his head. "Yeah, I know," the Mayan murmured before he placed another kiss onto Victoria's soft lips. "Now, go sit down," Angel ordered after he took a step back from the pediatric nurse before he told her, "I'll fix us something to eat."
Victoria took another glance down to her burnt pan on the stove before she inquired in worry for the sake of her kitchen, "are you sure you don't need any help?" Victoria absolutely adored Angel to death but she did not trust him to not burn down her house.
"I know it looks bad," Angel muttered as he tossed the ruined pan into the sink to clean later before he promised, "but we still have eggs and bacon, so it's not totally ruined." The Mayan wanted Victoria to have a semi-good practice, so he begin to move around the nurse's kitchen like a top chef as he quickly grabbed a new pan from the cabinet underneath the stove and placed it onto the burner before he swiftly jogged to the refrigerator and grabbed the pack of bacon and the carton of eggs.
"Do you need a hand?" The Miller woman inquired after watching Angel run around her kitchen with amusement all throughout her hazel eyes. Victoria found it cute how serious Angel was taking breakfast when they could just go a few miles away for a hot meal at their regular diner spot.
"I told you, I got this, mi princesa," Angel confidently exclaimed before he focused his brown eyes on placing the maple smoked bacon into the heated pan. "You just go sit at the table and look pretty," the Reyes man ordered as he shot Victoria a teasing grin before he quickly focused back onto not burning the bacon.
The Miller woman pouted when Angel completely denied her help at cooking before she voiced her annoyance as she mumbled, "but I wanted to help out."
Angel playfully rolled his brown eyes before he fully turned around and faced the pediatric nurse. "If you really wanna help," the Reyes man began as he wrapped his thick arms around Victoria's waist before he swiftly placed her on top of the kitchen counter and added, "you can make sure I don't fuck up."
"I guess that will do," Victoria mumbled in false disappointment. The Miller woman knew there was no way Angel was going to let her help when she was injured, anyway, so Victoria figured this was her best bet.
The kitchen in the Miller house was silent in a calm tranquility as Victoria just watched Angel cook them breakfast for a few minutes before the pediatric nurse curiously wondered after Angel had plated the pieces of bacon, "so, what's been going on with the club? Is Creeper doing okay?" Victoria hadn't heard anything about how the Mayan was healing since she fixed him up after a bad run and when she had first met Miguel and Nestor.
"Ah, ah, ah," the Reyes man exclaimed as he waved the metal spatula at the pediatric nurse. "No club talk," Angel reminded the Miller woman, "you know the rules for breakfast."
Victoria rolled her hazel eyes as their rules came into her mind. It was their rule that they made years ago that whenever they breakfast on Saturday mornings that there would be no talk of club business - it wasn't like Angel told her much, anyway. "Alright, fine," the Miller woman muttered as she held up her one good arm in innocence before she inquired since she knew Angel wasn't going to answer her previous question, "so, what's your plan for the day?"
"This," Angel simply stated like it was obvious while he began to crack a few eggs into the sizzling pan that was greased with the maple bacon fat.
"Huh?" Victoria instantly inquired with confusion dripping all throughout her voice. "Don't you have things to do with the club?" The Miller woman continued to question before she commented, "I'm sure you boys are going to busy with Miguel today." The pediatric nurse knew that the Mayans did have boring and slow days but she figured today would be extremely busy with the Galindo baby missing.
"I'm taking a sick day," Angel simply murmured as he turned down the stove before he turned around and walked in between Victoria's legs. Angel carefully wrapped his arms around the Miller woman's waist before he began to place light and playful kisses along her neck.
Victoria playfully rolled her hazel eyes at the Mayan as she wrapped her one good arm around his waist before she sarcastically muttered, "oh, I'm sure Bishop will love that you skip club business for me." The Miller woman knew just how serious the president of the Mayans was when it came to his members and Victoria definitely didn't want to be the reason why Angel got into trouble with his president
."Bishop will understand why I have to skip today," the Reyes man assured the brunette woman as he placed a gentle kiss onto her temple before he went back to focusing on their scrambled eggs. Angel gave the eggs one last stir and salted them before he transferred the eggs onto the two plates and carried them to the kitchen table.
"Are you sure Bishop won't mind?" Victoria worriedly inquired as she watched the Mayan move around her kitchen. The pediatric nurse didn't want Angel to get in trouble because of her. Besides, her injuries weren't even that bad. It wasn't like Victoria couldn't move or do anything by herself.
However, Angel thought differently as he went back over to the Miller woman and lifted Victoria up from the kitchen counter before he carefully carried her to the wooden table. "Stop worrying," the Mayan ordered after placing Victoria into her chair and after placing a quick kiss onto her lips. "Bishop is probably going to be showing the prospect the ropes and dealing with Galindo all day, anyway, so unless he calls, it'll be a slow day for me," Angel assured the Miller woman.
Victoria stared the the Reyes man's brown eyes for a moment to make sure he was telling the truth and when she couldn't find any of Angel's tale signs of him lying like his twitchy eyes or his high voice, Victoria released a small sigh before she murmured as she relaxed a bit from her worrying, "okay."
The Mayan widely grinned at the pediatric nurse before he clapped his hands together. "Alright!" Angel exclaimed before he cockily ordered as he nodded his point finger towards Victoria's plate of breakfast, "now try my food and tell me how good my cooking is."
Victoria playfully rolled her hazel eyes at Angel's cockiness but did what he wanted, anyway, as the Miller woman grabbed her fork and scooped up some scrambled eggs before she pushed them into her mouth. The pediatric nurse chewed on them for a few seconds to tease and make Angel wait before she finally swallowed the eggs.
"Well?" The Reyes man impatiently questioned with a hint of excitement dripping from his voice as he stared across at Victoria, "did I do good or did I do fucking great?"
The Miller woman released a small chuckle before she lightly nodded her head. "They aren't too bad," Victoria murmured with a careless shrug of her good shoulder.
"Oh, come on!" Angel loudly exclaimed after he released an equally loud groan. "You know those are the best eggs you have ever had!" The Reyes man argued as he pointed his finger down towards his own scrambled eggs.
"You know Nookie's Diner has the best eggs," the Miller woman reminded Angel as she playfully pointed her fork at the Mayan.
Angel released a small chuckle before he nodded his head in agreement. "Alright, you got me there," the Reyes man muttered before he cockily exclaimed, once again, "but you know I have the second best eggs!"
Victoria knew what the Mayan biker wanted to hear but she knew she had to lie a little bit. Angel's eggs were definitely tasty but they didn't hold a torch to the late Gemma's. The Miller woman's second surrogate mom could make the best breakfasts in this world. It used to be one of Victoria's favorite things about going to Charming.
However, Victoria decided to let Angel have this moment, so she lied a tiny bit. "Alright, you have the second best," the Miller woman murmured with a heavy sigh like it hurt her to say that before she shot Angel a playful grin.
"You bet your ass I do!" The Reyes man cockily exclaimed before he leaned over and placed a kiss onto Victoria's lips with his wide grin still playing across his face.
Victoria playfully rolled her hazel eyes at the Mayan once he had pulled away from their kiss before they focused back onto eating their breakfast in a comfortable silence. It wasn't tense or awkward. It felt perfect. It made Victoria feel calm after everything that she had been through in the past forty-eight hours. The comfortable silence made Victoria feel at home, like she always did when she was with Angel.
The nurse and the Mayan ate their breakfast for a good fifteen minutes or so before Victoria placed down her fork with a sigh. "That was really good," the Miller woman complimented the biker as she leaned over the table and placed a kiss onto Angel's cheek as another praise before Victoria stood up from the table with her plate and carried it to the sink.
Victoria turned on the water and was about to begin to clean up her plate along the mess that was made in her kitchen but Angel instantly recognized what she was tryin to do, so the Mayan quickly jumped up from the table before Angel wrapped his arms around Victoria's waist and gently pulled her away from the sink.
"Ah, ah, ah," Angel tsked before he told the injured woman, "you aren't doing any of that."
The Miller woman released a loud whine once she realized Angel really wasn't going to let her anything in her house. "I have to do something," Victoria complained, "I don't have work today and I will go crazy if I just sit around all day."
"Well, that's exactly what you are going to be doing," the Reyes man told Victoria as he pulled her further away from the sink and her need to clean up. "You need to rest and make sure you're healing," Angel murmured as he began to walk the Miller woman out of the kitchen and towards her bedroom.
"But I need to clean!" Victoria argued as she looked back towards her messy kitchen with a frown.
"It'll still be there later and I'll even clean it up," the Reyes man quickly assured Victoria. "But I don't care about that right now," Angel stated and argued with zero room for argument as he led Victoria inside of her bedroom, "I only care about getting you back to one hundred percent after what happened."
The Mayan gently placed Victoria on the edge of her queen sized bed before he worriedly inquired as he looked over the Miller woman's injures, "now, is there anything you need? Do you want to take a bath? Do you want to take off the sling or does your arm feel more comfortable with it on?"
The Miller woman lightly rolled her hazel eyes at Angel's worrying and cautiousness but she really did appreciate it. Victoria always did love how protective the Reyes men in her life has always been with her ever since she was little. It made her feel safe no matter the situation.
"I'm fine, Ange," the Miller woman promised with a small chuckle as she slowly pushed her body up to lean against the headboard of her bed. "I would love to go clean up your mess but I don't think you'll allow that," Victoria muttered as she playfully glared over at the Mayan.
"Nope," the Reyes man exclaimed as he took off his Mayan kutte and laid it onto Victoria's dresser before he joined her in bed. "It's not your job to clean that shit up. You said it yourself, it's my mess, so I'll do it," Angel told the Miller woman as he carefully wrapped Victoria into his arms and laid the pediatric nurse onto his chest. "You just need to relax for once," Angel murmured before he placed a light kiss onto the edge of the Miller woman's brunette hair.
Victoria couldn't help but release a small sigh as she linked her fingers with Angel's larger ones. Victoria honestly hadn't known how much she needed this right now until she was in the moment. The Miller woman had been running off of fumes from worrying about Emily and Cristobal along with facing off against the Rebels that Victoria hadn't had time to just relax and calm down. She had felt on edge the whole that but with Angel holding her, Victoria finally felt at home.
"Thank you," the Miller woman softly whispered as she brought Angel's hand to her lips and placed a light kiss onto his warm and rough skin to show her appreciation to him right now.
"You don't have to thank me for anything," Angel muttered as he still felt a large amount of guilt over the fact that he knew what was going to happen that night. Even though the Reyes man didn't now Victoria was going to there, he still felt so much guilt because he was hiding this from Victoria but Angel promised himself that he wouldn't involve Victoria even more than he already has in club business. Angel had made that promise to Happy awhile ago and he didn't plan to break that promise or something horrible might happen to Victoria like what happened to Tara and Gemma.
"I know I don't," Victoria murmured as she looked up at the Reyes man with a small smile. "Just... Thank you for being here for me," the brunette woman murmured before she leaned up on her good arm and kissed Angel's lips.
The Mayan instantly kissed Victoria back for a few seconds before he slowly pulled away. "I promise I'll protect you better if something happens like this again," Angel swore as he stared directly into Victoria's soft hazel eyes as he ran his thumb across her cheek, "if it comes down to it, I will never leave your side again."
The Miller woman playfully rolled her hazel eyes from the end of Angel's promise as she knew that could never happen in their life. "You can't do that, Ange," the pediatric nurse reminded the Reyes man before Victoria gave Angel an example why that would never work, "you have club business to handle almost everyday."
"I don't care," the Mayan stubbornly exclaimed. "I'll have the prospect come and watch over you when I can't," Angel stated before he paused for a moment and quickly added a second later as he thought of a better plan, "hell, we'll just have club meetings here."
Victoria, once again, rolled her hazel eyes at Angel's antics before she lightly slapped his chest. "Oh, calm down," the Miller woman exclaimed before she told Angel, "you don't have to go to such extreme measures. It was just a small car crash."
The Reyes man instantly grew serious as he sat up in Victoria's bed at how easy going the Miller woman was being about this. Angel cradled Victoria's face in his hands as he slowly exclaimed to get point across, "this is the most important thing in the world to me. I don't care  if you accidentally trip and fall, I will always worry about you and I will always take care of you."
Angel stared deeply into the Miller woman's hazel eyes for a moment before he lightly swiped his thumb across her lip with a small grin as he slowly released the seriousness from his body. "You already know you can't get rid of me, babe," the Reyes man exclaimed with a playful glint in his brown irises, "you're stuck with me forever."
Victoria released a light chuckle before she let her body relax back onto the Reyes man's chest. "Oh, I know," the Miller woman exclaimed before she joked with her cheek pressed against Angel's beating heart, "besides, I'm not going anywhere when I have my own personal teddy bear."
"Damn straight," the Reyes man proudly exclaimed as he relaxed his body back onto the Miller woman's bed and began to lightly run his fingers through Victoria's brunette hair. "I will always have your back," Angel whispered as he grew serious, once more, "I'll protect you from this life as much as I can, mi princesa."
Angel gently squeezed the Miller woman's waist as if to prove to Victoria that he was there for her before the Reyes man softly murmured, "you just rest now. I'll make sure no bad guys come in and hurt you."
The Miller woman was quiet for about a minute or so as she took in Angel words before she mumbled with a chuckle as she thought Angel was taking protecting her a little too serious, "uh, Ange, I'm pretty sure the rebels don't even know where I live."
"Shhh," the Mayan instantly muttered before he placed a kiss onto the edge of Victoria's brunette hair. "Let me have my moment," Angel whispered.
This instantly caused for Angel and Victoria to lightly chuckle together as they released the seriousness in the Miller woman's bedroom before they were overcome by a comfortable silence as they laid in one other's arms. However, while Victoria felt relaxed and calmed for the first time in the last two days, Angel was filled with worry.
The Reyes man didn't want Victoria to get wrapped into this mess. It was bad enough that Victoria had already been around Miguel Galindo and his lapdog - he didn't need Victoria getting caught in the middle of the rebels as well. Angel just hoped and prayed that he would be able to keep Victoria safe from everything that was about to rain down on Santo Padre.

filter | hwang hyunjin
warning: some cursing, fem!reader, too much fluff akshka.
a/n: this is my first time writing a fic and not a timestamp so,,, i hope it’s not very bad. this was kinda inspired by bts jimin’s filter but jagsjh,, anyways hope you enjoy it!!
Tumblr media
you were in trouble
like,,, you were usually in trouble but THIS ONE WAS BIG
so you basically agreed with your parents that you would attend some ball ???
and with your boyfriend as your plus one ?????
well to start off you didn’t have a boyfriend and you didn’t even know why did you just say that HSJAKAH
you could do many things, but backing off and hurting your pride WAS NOT ON YOUR LIST
so now you had to find a boyfriend in like a month and half
i mean… you could ask jisung or felix, but you knew how uncomfortable they felt with your richies
also they didn’t give off the rich, classy and charming boyfriend look
well,, your friends were really handsome but not the type of handsome high society liked
but anyways that’s a problem for the future Y/N because we ain’t getting distracted at chemistry !! your grades were NOT falling
yeah you were living the rich and perfect y/n life
anyways in fact you were pretty annoying HSJSJD
you got very !! stressed !! when things were out of your control
there were only a few <lovely3 people who truly knew you and stood you, and they were jilix and your sis ryujin
(who invited her bestie daehwi, but he was rich too so he had no prob)
like,,, you usually hung out with your sis’ friends, but you weren’t THAT close
and for jisung and felix’s friends,,,,, it was weird when they weren’t all together
and that’s how jisung had the dumbest idea ever, and he’s had A LOT
like that one time he convinced you to let him dye your hair (you ended up looking like a light bulb)
or when you shaved his legs (WORST EXPERIENCE EVER YOU ALMOST GO DEAF but it was kinda fun)
anyways he just let out “why don’t you tell hyunjin? you know he does this weird thing of getting paid for acting as a boyfriend”

If you're up to it how about #8 on the prompt list you posted a while back "I know your reputation all to well"? Nestor?
Tumblr media
(A/N: I do not own the gif! Thank you for requesting something so soon! I hope you enjoy it, a bit of hurting on one of my favorite characters from the Mayans ❤️)
The Knowing and The Known:
There he was again, sliding into the last booth without a word or even a request for something. He stopped by every night day after day and never said anything to anyone, he just sat there emotionless until closing time. “Mr. Fancy pants is back.” Miguel teased leaning over the counter as you rolled your eyes, he enjoyed getting a reaction out of you and he knew you hated that about him. “You know he’s one of Señor Galindos men. They are all trained killers from what I’ve heard, I’m sure he’s no different.” Francisco chimed in from the kitchen as you shake your head. You knew who he was, what he was because you saw it up close and personal, a sight you’d never forget.
Without another word you walked over to the man in the back booth “What will it be Mr. Oceteva?” You asked as he looked at you baffled for a moment, no other words were spoken until he cleared his throat and adjusted his tie, “Coffee. Black.” Was all he said as you nodded flashing a quick smile before returning to the counter. “You caught Fancy Pants by surprise, what’d you do ask to feel him gun?” Miguel snickered as you laughed “Nope, I asked him to strangle me with his tie.” You replied lowly as Miguel looked at you with wide eyes “You’re so gullible it’s not fun. I asked him what he wanted numbskull.” You stated gesturing to the coffee before walking back the booth.
Placing the coffee on the table without any word, before returning to the counter. The graveyard shift proceeded as all the rest, long, dragged out and very boring. “Alright Mr. Oceteva. It’s time to go now” you said as he nodded making his way out in front of you before you locked the cafe up for the day. Miguel and Francisco standing in the lot awkwardly looking between you and Oceteva “You know him?” Miguel asked as you shook your head “Nope. Just his name. Goodnight!” You waved off to your coworkers as you began to walk out of the lot “Hey, don’t you think it’s too late for you to be walking home alone?” Oceteva asked as you laughed “The scariest man in this town is right in front of me. Oh yes, I know you reputation all too well, don’t be surprised. I may have been blinded once but that’s not going to happen again.” You said as you continued to walk away before he grabbed your arm.
“Haven’t you done enough running?” He asked as you scoffed “Obviously not because here you still are Nestor.” You spat as he let you go gently as he leaned against his car “What did I do that was so wrong that you left me without a word?” He asked softly his puppy eyes filled with so much hurt “You became a mindless puppet to the cartel, you sold your life and soul to it.” You said as he shook his head “Miguel is my family, he’s like a brother to me, I couldn’t leave him alone.” He states as your anger begins to boil in you “So was I Nestor! I was your wife. You throw it all away for Miguel, so keep it that way. You couldn’t leave him but you had no problem leaving me, when I needed you more than he ever did. I wasn’t good enough for you Nestor? Just do me a favor. Please don’t come back here again, this is my job, this is my life and I don’t need you screwing that up for me again.” You said as you ran towards the bus stop before the bus left leaving him there speechless and alone. You left him again but at least this time he got his answer and not just an empty house but a broken heart.

Hank’s girl
Tumblr media
Nan desu ka - whats this
The Mayans had a meeting set up with the dog boy group at the Gato Lounge, Hank had insisted on getting there early. The guys just went along with it not wanting to get on the enforcer’s bad side. Hank led the way inside nodding to the 2 huge bouncers by the door. The first one had a massive dragon tattoo starting from his shaved head down his neck disappearing under his shirt only to reappear coming down his opposite arm, the other had lightning bolt gauges in his ear, with no visible tattoos to be seen. They each nodded back in kind before giving the rest of the group a once over. Once inside the guys were greeted at the door by one of the drink runners. She had red hair pulled up into 2 mini space buns that went with her galaxy bra and skirt.
“Hey Hanky, Y/N’s in the back. Want me to get her for you?” She asked smiling at the group.
“No thanks Nebula, We have a meeting in the back room.” He told her. She nodded in understanding before smiling at the group.

Bre can I haz Coco Cruz plz 💞💗❣️ "Who did this?" "Why do you care?" "Can you forgive me?" Pretty plz with a cherry on top? Need some more of my loco Coco puff 😍🍰
“Loco Coco puff” LITERALLY made me lol. Amazing.
Tumblr media
Your house was right on the border, just a few miles away from one of the main tunnels the Mayans used. Your family had worked with Alvarez for years, so when your parents moved back to Mexico and left you the property, you took over their partnership with the Mayans. It was a good deal, they provided you with protection and gave you a cut of their profits, and you let them dig holes under your land and use your place as a safe house. It was a win-win.
And you got to ride Coco like a fucking bucking bronco—which was a huge plus.
But you caught feelings—which was not a part of the plan.
