UFC Fight Night: Adesanya vs. Imavov Recap Pt. 2
Hello fight fans !
The main event of the evening marked the long awaited return of the former Middleweight champ and top contender in the Middleweight GOAT conversation, Israel Adesanya. Israel Adesanya (-162) was 0-2 since 2023 and was looking to change the “washed” narrative with a definitive win against rising Middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov (+136). Imavov was 3-0 since 2023 and needed a win against a big name to get his name in the title shot conversation.  Unfortunately, for the fan favorite Israel Adesanya, the night did not go his way.
The first round made it very apparent that these fighters are evenly matched. Each fighter jabbed and feinted their way to the end of the round trying to calculate their opponents rhythm and distance. The second round followed suit until the final 2 minutes. Each fighter landed counter punches and calf kicks in multiple blitzes in an out of each others range. Imavov was able to get the win with 0:30 seconds left in 2nd round via TKO by a counter left hook and unstoppable ground and pound.
Adesanya now boasts a 0-3 record since his KO win against Alex Perriera in 2023. He and the UFC now need to figure out his next move as retirement approaches his horizon even quicker after this loss.

The co-main event of the evening boasted potentially your favorite fighter’s fight of the night, Shara Magomedov (-200) vs. Michael “Venom” Page (+154). These fighters are currently the Middleweight division’s most exciting strikers. MVP with his unorthodox point fighting style and Magomedov with his technical and explosive boxing combinations. This fight had MVP’s name written all over it from the start which led to  masterclass striking performance. UFC 311 Makhachev vs Moicano Recap Pt.2
Hello fight fans !
We are going to be diving into some of the best fights from the most recent UFC event, UFC 311. In this post I will be recapping:
Prochazka vs Hill
Merab vs Umar
Makhachev vs Moicano
The final three fights of this card were absolutely loaded. The final two bouts were championship fights with serious legacy implications and what the fight that lead them off was a war between giants.
The light heavyweight bout between Jiri Prochazka (+105) and Jamahal Hill (-125) was something that all fight fans knew would be violent. These 205ers are prolific finishers in the sport with 20+ KOs between them. In the end, the difference was the superior head movement and counter punching of Jiri Prochazka. Jiri was able to evade the heavy and punches of Hill while delivering swift and accurate punches to the head of Hill, securing him the KO upset win in the third round.
The first championship fight of the night was Merab Dvalishvili (+210) vs Umar Nurmagomedov (-258) for the Bantamweight belt. Fans were eager to see this match up between MMA royalty Umar, cousin and student of MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, and the seemingly unstoppable new champion Merab. The fight lasted all five rounds in a technical grappling showcase. In the end, the underdog Merab came out on top by being able to control most of the grappling exchanges throughout the fight and successfully defending a majority of the challengers strikes. This victory brings Merab one step closer to clinching the title of Bantamweight GOAT as he continues his 12 fight win streak.
The final fight of the night was a lightweight championship bout between Islam Makhachev (-1200) and Renato Moicano(+750). Fans were disappointed when this fight was announced one day prior to UFC 311 because Islam's original challenger, Arman Tsarukyan, had to call out due to a back injury. Renato stepped up last minute to take a title he might not get again, a decision that was respected and appreciated greatly by fans and UFC brass. Despite the drama that occurred leading up to the fight, this bout was particularly lackluster. The fight ended just 2 minuted in the first round due to a darce choke by Islam. The same choke he finished his last three opponet with. Many were disappointed in the spectacle, or lack there of, due to the last minute opponent switch.

UFC 311 Makhachev vs Moicano Recap Pt.1
Hello fight fans !
We are going to be diving into some of the best fights from the most recent UFC event, UFC 311. In this post I will be recapping:
Talbot vs Barcelos
Holland vs De Ridder
The Prelims ended in what is going to go down as one of the biggest upsets of the year in the bantamweight bout between rising star 26 year-old Payton Talbott (-1100) and the rigged veteran 37 year-0ld Raoni Barcelos (+700). Barcelos was able to control Talbott, who is primarily a striker, with a superior grappling game for all 3 rounds. His takedowns and ground control left Talbott incapable of striking his opponent and secured him the unanimous decision win.
The Main Card of UFC began with, fan favorite, Kevin Holland facing a dangerous contender, Norwegian middleweight Reinier De Ridder. De Ridder was able to get the job done via rear naked choke against an uncharacteristically lackadaisical and seemingly unmotivated Holland in the first round.
