Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

Ppl: “Glaze and nightshade all your art!!”
Also ppl: * does not mention that you need to have a fucking NVIDIA GPU and running nightshade on one image takes at best 20 minutes*
Like the online version of glaze/nightshade requires an account. And last time i checked they arent accepting new accounts because of the high pressure.
Like i make my art on my ipad. My MacBook is from 2014. If i tried to download and run nightshade on my decade old macbook and go throufg 10+ years of artworks i might as well just set it on fire.

Ok so this is an idea from @whatifitwasgttho post
I really like that dialogue when the tiny is trying to wake their giant up at the morning
“Waking up a monster like me this hour…? Hmm..what will I ever do with you?”
So I just can’t help myself to draw another fluff moment

Good news, fellow artists! Nightshade has finally been released by the UChicago team! If you aren't aware of what Nightshade is, it's a tool that helps poison AI datasets so that the model "sees" something different from what an image actually depicts. It's the same team that released Glaze, which helps protect art against style mimicry (aka those finetuned models that try to rip off a specific artist). As they show in their paper, even a hundred poisoned concepts make a huge difference.

(Reminder that glazing your art is more important than nighshading it, as they mention in their tweets above, so when you're uploading your art, try to glaze it at the very least.)

The absolute mental damage this did on people back then is crazy™️, myself included, and I was one of those young'uns of back in the day. You had to put "NO GTS" in your profile so people associated you with G/t and not "fetish" or "kink." And yet in hindsight, the proboards were still a hub for that we didn't even think about because, looking back, some of those stories and community members should not have had teenage ass babies looking at them LOL. Wild times.
In a way I was glad for all the male bigs because, like you said, I rarely saw it in that time period so I wanted to make it more, but I'm glad I broke out of that "no big ladies" mentality too because it took a good few years (and hey, learned more about my own demisexuality thanks to it HA). It was wildly misogynistic, and I'm sure weird/uncomfy comments on art of big ladies simply being Big still exist. This kinda stuff sticks with you, man, and can be hard to work through. With the SFW/NSFW, "is it still G/t?" debate, I think it's perfectly fine and healthy to establish boundaries—you are not required to share everything about yourself in a public, internet space—especially if you're young, but I don't think people who enjoy one, the other, or learn that maybe they like both should be treated like they're menaces to society. Just be respectful.
It took time for me to feel comfortably enough to branch out and post when I started turning non-size characters into size!AU characters, hence Mii because she's technically the first I've drawn as a big lady. But call-out posts?? I'm glad I must have missed those. 😬
This is a text post for the early 2000s GTlovers/early DA/shrinking.net G/t girlies and gays:
So like, we ever gonna talk about the absolutely insane GTS ban that were in place for SFW GT spaces? Like, it was an INSANE reaction to create callout posts and blacklist anyone who used a main female giant and how it was treated as inheritantly sexual
Like I know the "reasons" because we were trying to separate ourselves from the NSFW side which, at this time, was heavily female giant based, no one has to explain to me why, but like we can agree it was REALLY wild and pretty misogynistic reaction right?
