Inktober day 1! euphemismcentral and I were playing with the walnut ink we made an I doodled a Mint Herbaby!

My husband and some good friends joined me for brunch yesterday, and we came back to decorate for Halloween together! We made ghosts with some scrap fabric and plastic bags from the legendary Bag of Bags, and made the whole place look a treat.

My obviously favorite ghost was a culmination of many suggestions from my buds, formed into the most incredible little fancy rag you've ever seen.

Kid in PEP (think special needs pre k) kept pointing to my mug and saying "Caballo! (Horse)" over and over.

Turns out he likes cowboys. He was playing with this piece of a basket I was having them use for texture rubbing because it looked like a fence.

I only had a toy wolf, and was hoping he could pretend it was a horse for the fence.

No dice, til I made it a cowboy hat. Then he was all over it

One of my 5th graders is obsessed with drawing Jim Carrey from The Mask, and I love it.

One of the best parts of my day is eating lunch at a table near my desk when the kids are going from lunch to recess. I always wave while they walk by in case they look in while walking. It's great to see them realize I'm waving, and have them double back into the doorway to frantically wave

It's been forever, but once I get my art studio set up at my new place I want to!

sometimes plushies make me cry because it’s like. they’re little guys made to be loved. their only purpose is to be held and hugged and loved. we made them because we love making things and we love loving things. and they’re so cute
