OK. Hear me out: The reader making cute little plushies for the Elsens.

That's it. Go crazy. Go stupid

Ahhhh I envy reader in this one, I really wish I was capable of making plushies as well! That idea is so cute, the Elsen deserve to have a nice and warm, cuddly friend with them at all times! I wrote this a few months ago, in June or July, while I was still at school, so I don't remember if I've proofread this or not! And, in all honesty, I have too much commuting to do today to be able to properly do so either, so, sorry about that ^^'

Reader Making Cute Plushies for the Elsen

As someone who has always had a passion for creating and bringing smiles upon others, it pained you to see those poor inhabitants of such a bleak world, wishing to give them something to make them happy, to bring them joy and glee in this dreadful place. So, you’ve decided to make some plushies for them, a passion of yours for quite some time now. Anything and everything that came to mind, things, that those poor creatures have likely never seen before.

From armadillos to zebras, you’ve made it all as cute as possible, not wanting to scare away the shy and anxious Elsen. And some of them took a liking to your work as you went on with it, watching you with interest from the corners of their eyes, some even going as far as watching you over your shoulders as you oh so masterfully sewed together the ears of a panda. Once you’ve finished the animal and gave it to the first Elsen in your vicinity, the one observing your work and asking you about it, his eyes growing wide in surprise.

Cautiously, he took it from you, scrutinising it from every angle, trying to find the danger or harm in it. What if there was a bomb in it? What if meat was going to ooze from it? But no matter how much he poked and squeezed the plushie, nothing happened. In fact, the worst it did was give him the impression it was going to make a squeaky noise at any opportunity, but it never did. For a second, it seemed as though he was shaking with excitement, his tired smile turning genuine. Turning around, he showed off the gift he had received, with the other Elsen immediately taking to it.

As soon as the others had each taken their turn touching the felt, petting and squeezing it, the original Elsen took back its newly prized possession, thanking you and bowing low to you, wishing to show his gratitude. Soon after he had left, the others would flock to you, watching you intently, hoping to each receive a small gift from you, which you happily obliged with, giving each of them a small friend to call their own.

Soon enough, after a few days of preparation and weeks worth of work, every one of them had a small plushie with them at all times, cuddling them, making them have tea parties, yes, even living out their dreams through them together.

It didn’t take too long for all of them to plot and scheme together, knowing fully well that they would have a newfound guardian with them along with their original one. And yet, as much love as they have found within their novel toys, they were going to pay that exact same love back to you. They may not have had much, but they were willing to share what they did have with you. And thus, one day, you would find yourself getting dragged around by those small creatures into the library, the central part of zone 2. For as much as they looked down upon noise and intruders, they would hold a small “party” for you there. Even if calling it such was nothing short of a severe exaggeration, it was sweet nevertheless. And thus, they gifted you a cake, shaped in the likes of many a creatures you gifted them. Crocodiles, ostriches, turtles, everything you could think of was there. It was quite the small spectacle, but one of love, adoration and gratitude for you.

Hey, everyone! I know it's been a while, almost four months actually, since I disappeared, and I'm really sorry for having taken a longer hiatus than I intended to! I know I said I would only be gone during my time at school, but since I'm back in school right now already anyway, I wanted to say that I'll try to update again on the weekends.

Please bear with me, though, I haven't written much since May, so I have yet to get back into the writing groove. I have about three requests written that I will be posting on the weekend. I'd post them earlier, but my company laptop, the only one I have here with me right now, blocks Tumblr. I'm actually posting this from my phone ^^;

Ooh, birtdoi request! That's another one I knew was gonna be coming eventually and have been waiting for!

Batter, Zacharie and Vader Eloha Spending Reader’s Birthday with Them

Zacharie is most definitely the kind of person to give you a hug on your birthday. Though, he will attempt to make it a special day for this one and try to persuade Batter into doing so as well. So, the second you wake up, you can find the merchant and Batter at your side, ready to give you the biggest hug they can muster. Meanwhile Eloha is standing on the sidelines, chuckling to herself, as she watches your surprise upon being woken up properly like this. Even so, you had to admit, being sandwiched between Batter and Zacharie like this was nice: one was strong and tall, a bit muscular too, while the other one was short and kind of soft to the touch. Both of them together made for a nice thermal equilibrium when together. You could have fallen right back asleep at that.

Rushing outside, the two of them went off, ready to get your birthday presents for you. Eloha, on the other hand, has already been waiting with hers in hand. Once you’re completely awake, she, too, will give you a gentle and warm hug, like that of a loving mother, before handing you her present. While she didn’t know exactly what to get you, she settled on the most beautifully adorned tea set you have ever seen as well as an adorable little plushie to keep you company in bed. But soon enough, the boys returned, each handing you their own gift. Zacharie’s was nicely wrapped while it was certain that Batter had some help wrapping his. The former gave you some expensive clothing, that can be used as armour, along with some coupons as a joke, while the latter would be the one to give you a weapon like his own so you would be able to defend yourself.

Because you thought it would be ironic, you made the suggestion that you could all play baseball together with each other. Naturally, Zacharie called dibs on Batter, who wanted nothing more than to play on your side, which he thus did. Since you were far too few people to play properly, and because Batter was also there, the game didn’t go on for too long before you and Zacharie collapsed onto the ground in exhaustion. But every time you looked over at Batter, he seemed to have been rather happy that he finally got to do what he was good at with you. The one time you changed teams and you ended up being the pitcher, with him being the batter, of course, you could have sworn you saw a trace of a smile underneath his hat. But the real MVP was somehow Eloha, who, against all of your expectations, was able to catch Batter’s balls like it was nothing.

Once you were all finally done playing baseball with each other, Eloha would brew all of you some tea, letting you use your new tea set she got you. She put a lot of effort into it, even going as far as putting flowers on the table you are sitting on to make it more comfortable and have their scent waft through the area. While you, Zacharie and Eloha would enjoy your tea and take your time drinking it, Batter would immediately gulp it down, not quite understanding why you’re supposed to wait. Yes, you’ll have to heal his throat and scold him quite a bit to not do so again, but you could also truly and genuinely admire him for drinking it all in one go as soon as it was served without making a sound, only stating that the water was very hot.

Hi! How do you think Zacharie and Batter would help a player who has trouble falling asleep?

Hello! I feel as though Zacharie would be a much better bet to go to when one has difficulty falling asleep, but that's just my silly lil opinion!

Batter and Zacharie Helping Reader Fall Asleep

Batter:

Batter is a being that, for the most part, functions on logic and nothing else. Therefore, his first thought would be that something must be keeping you up. Something akin to a noise you can’t ignore or maybe there is an enemy nearby that you can sense. Either way, his first action would be to find any loose spectres that are out to haunt you. And if there are none in the closer vicinity, then he will simply sit beside you and keep watch for any ghouls and ghosts nearby. It may seem weird at first, but he is more than happy to do so, no matter how tired he may be himself.

Now that’s what Batter would normally do if you told him that you didn’t know why you couldn’t sleep. However, if the reason is known and you will put it out there, Batter will try his best to act accordingly: If you have a nightmare, then chances are he will do as mentioned above once again to help make you feel safe. But in addition to that, he will also talk to you to the best of his ability. Again, not many words will be spoken on his behalf, he is more of a listener, but he will try to guide you through everything with logic. And if that doesn’t work, he will make a vow to protect you from whatever may be out to get you in the world.

As he is not one to initiate affection aside from words occasionally, you will have to ask him for cuddles if that’s what you desire. But really, ask him for anything, whether it be a walk, a playfight or some food and he will provide to the best of his ability. He is well aware that you need sleep, so he will do what he can, given he is provided some information on what could help you, to make you fall asleep. The only thing he is not willing to do would be making you unconscious through force, even if you request it. He will either pretend to be too weak to be capable of doing so, or straight up deny it.

Zacharie:

Now, Zacharie, on the other hand, may have some remedies that might even help you fall asleep: From teas to sleeping medication to strange artefacts, he has it all. Though, his first thought wouldn’t be to use any of these, aside from maybe brewing you some tea, if that’s what you’d like. He’d much rather talk to you about what may be keeping you up. Nightmares or insomnia, mental health or no tiredness, he, too, will weigh what may be the best options for which issue. While his go-to would be to simply talk over some tea for some time and perhaps cuddle, he is open to other suggestions as well.

If he needs to, no matter how exhausted he may be, he will try his best to tire you out. From a walk throughout the zones, to stargazing to a simple playfight, he, too, will do what he can. Though, unlike Batter, he is very open to showing affection, especially physically. He’s aware what kinds of effects physical touch and warmth usually have on someone, who is willing to accept them, and will try to relax you like that. 

However, if the problem of sleeplessness persists for a longer period of time, say, a few days without it getting any better, then he will grow worried about you. If natural remedies are of no help, then he might resort to some other ways of making sure you can get some rest. Zacharie knows some competences himself, and, as much as he fears and rues having to use them on you, he might do so if there’s no other way. He trusts himself enough to know that he couldn’t harm you, but he’d much rather not use them on you. 

Worried as he grows upon using his skill on you, he refuses to leave your side until you wake up, willing to use Belial’s meat to cure your condition if you won’t wake up after a few hours. Zacharie won’t leave your side, at least not for long, not even opening his shop if customers come knocking on his door. He only opens the door to politely tell them that he can’t sell anything for the day.

This one is pretty short say batter notice that the player seems comfortable talking zacharie so when the player left he asked how is the player so comfortable with you. Then zacharie is like "perhaps you should smile abit" but when batter tired to smile it looks like he wants to murder someone XD. Then zacharie is like "😅 I think we need to work on that"

Bonus the player came back to check on batter since batter didn't follow them then they saw zacharie trying to teach batter how to smile like without the murder aura and such . They can't help but to laugh

Zacharie Teaching Batter how to Smile

“And now you just pull your facial muscles up like this!” With his mask only revealing his mouth, he pointed towards his smile. It looked real enough to fool almost anyone. Such was the reality of a businessman worth his money.

However, what Zacharie saw resembled a monster looking down at its prey, knowing fully well it had won and there was nowhere left to go for the latter. His smile, almost cocky in nature, was that of a victor, about to have the dragon slain, and yet, it was nowhere near that of a genuine smile. But of course, how could it have been? Smiling simply was not needed in a world full of violence where the only goal was to kill and not be killed.

Zacharie sighed, having seen that expression enough times to know there was no harm in it towards him anymore. Leaning against the countertop, he crossed his arms, one finger tapping against his elbow. “You know, you could be such a handsome man if only you smiled a bit more. It wouldn’t hurt in the slightest, amigo.” But Batter still seemed as disinterested as he was before. If it had no point, then it had no use to him.

“Hey guys! What are you-” You poked your head into the building, ready to spend the hard earned credits you found throughout the area. “Oh.” Still, what you saw was nothing less than chill inducing. Yet, knowing Batter as merely an overly serious goofball, you couldn’t help but laugh. “Pfft. Zacharie, is he trying to kill you or something?” With your laugh echoing throughout the building, you were almost afraid of attracting spectres to where you were.

“Far from it, my dear compadre, I’m trying to teach him how to smile.”

“Oh.” You giggled, finding the idea absolutely hilarious. “You could have just asked me, I know of a few ways to get out dear companion and overly stoic sportsman to smile!” Walking up to Batter, you slung an arm around his waist, pulling him closer to you. “You see, him and I have gone through thick and thin, so we’re pretty close and I know all of his secrets. Right, Batter?”

Batter seemed almost embarrassed, pulling his hat down so no one could see his facial expression. You were correct, you knew quite a lot about him, having gone on all kinds of adventures already. But it was almost fair enough that he would get to know you just as well as time went on. “Yes.”

Yo I am back with a silly idea. Say player and zacharie bet on who could make better laugh . Batter clearly doesn't like the idea but he will never say no to player so he agreed. But after alot of try none of them manage to make him laugh that's until player said a dad joke and they can hear batter quietly laughing then zacharie is like "you like dad jokes?"

Zacharie and Reader Getting Batter to Laugh

At first, the two of you will likely have convened about this once Zacharie mentioned that Batter has never smiled, much less laughed around him before. You, having spent more time with him than anyone else, came to think out loud that you have not either. Naturally, Batter was standing next to the both of you, feeling as though something bad was about to happen. Not to anyone else, but him. His concerns were justified when you and Zacharie made a bet on who could make Batter smile and or laugh. Despite his silent protests, he eventually agreed when you asked him to.

The next few minutes were spent in an awkward silence, trying to figure out what could make the stoic being laugh. Nothing seemed to have been working. Not the countless jokes Zacharie remembered, not the billions of awful memes you showed Batter on your phone. It didn’t matter how much you and Zacharie chortled at them, it was never contagious enough for Batter to smile along with you. At some point, you almost seemed to forget about it all as you simply came up with increasingly awful “funnies”. Nothing too bad, of course, simply questionable.

It must have been the both of you having grown quite tired from telling all those jokes that you tried to divert the attention from the current topic to another one, namely the fact that Zacharie got quite a lot of curious items for sale in his shop. Things, you have never seen before, that you even went as far as to question the legality of. Now, ever so curious, and being good friends with the merchant too, you asked: “Yo, Zacharie, where’d you get all those weird items from? The dark web?”

Zacharie turned to face you as he stopped what he was doing for a second. With lots of sarcasm, he replied: “No, there’s too little light in there to find anything.”

Upon hearing that, the worst kind of joke imaginable, Batter chuckled a bit, gaining the attention from both you and Zacharie. Neither of you expected that outcome, but neither of you were exactly surprised either. If anything, you were disappointed in Batter for liking those kinds of jokes.

“Batter, why?” You sighed, looking at him as though you had been told your spouse died at sea.

“You like dad jokes?” Zacharie immediately turned to you, willing to theorise as to why Batter is fond of them. “Do you think he is a father?!”

With just as much enthusiasm and willingness to discuss Batter’s origins, you stepped towards the merchant. “He has to be! I mean, it wasn’t even a pity laugh or anything. He was genuinely smiling. A genuine smile, let me tell you!”

Batter felt as though he was an insect in a glass tube being surrounded by the worst researchers to ever exist.

Hello, anon! Of course you can! But beware, I have never really listened to any ASMR stuff before, so I don't know much about it!

Zacharie and the Queen with a Reader who has a Soft Voice

Zacharie:

Because he’s a merchant, and thus fairly often found in the big cities, he will likely ask you to repeat yourself from time to time.  He doesn’t do it out of malice, quite the opposite, in fact, he wants to hear what you have to say and will thus do so. While he is far from being hard of hearing, your quiet and soft voice is a bit much, as much as he likes it. Especially when other people are talking over you.

Speaking of which, when they do, he shoots them a glare from underneath his mask and will ask you to repeat yourself more loudly. His customer, likely an Elsen, will probably apologise upon making your voice go unheard, so there would be no hard feelings either way. While this can be seen as many things, it’s for the most part, to show you that you’re more important to him than any customer. But then again, the Elsen are neither picky, nor entitled. That paired with him being the only merchant means that he can divert his attention to you most of the time.

While your voice may be quiet, he does like hearing you talk, so, don’t be surprised if he asks you to recount the things he’s sold or maybe or has you read a book for him as well while he works away in the storage room. Either way, your voice will be heard, and if it’s just you counting how many fortune tickets he has left in his inventory.

Vader Eloha:

Eloha has quite the soft voice herself, given that she has to stay calm almost all of the time, rule over the zones and be a mother as well. Sometimes, she gets tired too and wants nothing more than to rest for a bit. And during those times she has you read or tell Hugo a bedtime story while she holds him and listens as well, almost dozing off in the process. It’s the most intimate time for her because she trusts you with her son enough, all the while knowing very well Batter is out for him.

However, because of both of your naturally calm voices, any Elsen that have been invited to a tea party will be very content while also very sleepy afterwards, which may not be the most ideal thing to be while talking to a queen. She doesn’t mind, in fact, she’d be more than happy to have anyone stay overnight. However, Eloha will get a good chuckle out of it with you when she sees them dozing off.

Whenever someone speaks over you, she will simply raise her hand, making everyone in the room go quiet, before turning to you and asking “Yes, dear?” While it may be embarrassing to you the first few times, you’ll get used to it eventually. Eloha is a very affectionate being, so she is definitely not afraid to use her status to make everyone hear you, even when you just want to tell her that you love her.

Slice of Life Headcanons for the Batter Trio

Don’t you ever leave your food out of sight or in the fridge for too long. As soon as five minutes have passed, a thief will have stolen it. If you’re someone with a good temper, a good-natured person, then you likely won’t mind, finding something else to eat. But if you’re like Ghost, then you will definitely start blaming everyone around you, most likely Bad, even though, unless it’s a meat based dish, he likely won’t steal it. The real culprit behind your long lost yoghurt? Batter. He’s more evil than you think, but no one ever suspects him.

If you have a job where you’re seated for a very long time and don’t have much time to do sports or anything of the likes, then Ghost will be your aggressively supportive trainer who makes sure you’re doing okay and are healthy. Yes, he will be swearing at you the entire time, but he means well. He cares about you lots, so he wants you the best you can be, even if that simply means he’s going to force you on a walk with him every day while also chasing you to do so. He’s not very intimidating after some time, but he will come up with excuses on why you need to move. Even if those are ridiculous and he doesn’t understand humans that well.

If you so please, you can take them with you to the beach, but someone will drown someone else. Likely Ghost Bad. Be prepared to resuscitate a crocodile, it’s going to be rather hard with a snout this big. But don’t worry, a Joker can fix anything. Either that or Ghost beats Bad until he comes back to life. Batter will be standing next to the ocean, pondering with his baseball bat. But if you want, you can bury him in sand and make him a pretty mermaid, he won’t mind.

You all can take therapy together!

Not a single pizza place delivers to your home anymore, they’ve seen the not-so-human-looking lads and the delivery people are terrified. You’ve scolded Bad and Ghost about a billion times for that exact reason, even going as far as giving them both more housework to do to make up for it, but they keep trying to order anyway. That said, you have a very nice elderly woman as your neighbour, who loves to bake you cookies and really loves y’all!

Hello, thank you for clarifying and adding your own idea, it made it a bit easier to come up with something! Dedan is pretty underrated, my friend really simps for him, though!

General Fluff Headcanons For Dedan

While Dedan may not be a romantic at heart, he certainly tries for you. While he may not be around as often as you’d want him to, due to him running his zone rather strictly, he will take you along with him. Sure, there’s not much time for picnics and the likes, but if you want, he’s more than happy to have you tag along during one of his daily checkups on zone one. He knows he’s strong enough to defeat any and all spectres that you might come across, so he will keep you close to him, even if he knows you’re capable of defending yourself. He just really wants to be close to you and spend time with you.

While physical touch may not be his number one love language, he doesn’t particularly mind it either, as long as it’s in private. He’s more than happy to hold and cuddle you as you wish, even while he’s doing paperwork, but he won’t particularly initiate anything in public. He might ask you to stop. After all, he has a reputation to uphold. Plus someone might use you against him. He knows he’s capable of defeating anyone, but he doesn’t want you to be hurt, so he tries to keep your relationship a secret.

His fingers are very long and his hands are rather large, so it’s quite easy for him to engulf your hands with his. In fact, he could very easily deck and or kill you with them if he so pleased. That’s why he finds the fact you play with his hands absentmindedly rather important: you trust him. You trust him enough that you’re not afraid of him. He’s killed countless spectres, the residents of zone one fear him because of the power he holds. But you, on the other hand, divert his attention from him from time to time and give him so many opportunities to hurt you. He appreciates you letting your guard down around him as everyone tenses up whenever Dedan is near.

The closest thing you’ll be getting to a proper “date” would be riding a pedalo with him. Yes, it’s not the most romantic thing, but it’s better than nothing at all. After all, you can hold onto him as he pedals you both around. Sure, it might just be to recalibrate some puzzles, see if they still work or change the solution to them for security purposes, but it’s nice nevertheless. Because he can’t particularly stop you from holding onto him, as you might fall into the water and meet a spectre, that’s the one time he won’t mind you being touchy with him in public.

While meat may be plentiful in his world, I can imagine he would get cravings for something sweet for once every once in a while. Sugar may be dangerous to consume, but if consumption is limited, then surely it can’t be completely bad, right? While he would enjoy something domestic like baking a cake every once in a while, he knows he isn’t able to. That’s why he would be genuinely surprised if you ever baked him a cake. Even something small, like a cookie, would garner his attention immediately. Yes, he may not be capable of smiling too much due to a lack of lips, but he will show his gratitude.

Speaking of gratitude, if you’ve done him enough “favours”, which are really just general kindness and small things, such as sorting his paperwork when he’s away, he will try to be more romantic for once. Once the sun has gone away and the moon comes out to play, Dedan, despite being tired, will try his best to take you out on a walk at night underneath the stars. He isn’t really attached to them, but he thinks the gesture is nice. When it’s dark and peaceful outside, it feels like no one can bother and or disturb him, so he wants to spend that time with you, too!

Batter with a Reader who Collects Pins

While Batter wouldn’t understand their appeal at first, he would think you looked pretty cute with them. It would take him some time to understand, even if you did explain to him why you were collecting them in the first place. At first, he might think of them as some form of armour or weapon, or maybe even an enchanted item that would help you in combat, given how colourful they are as well.

It would genuinely take him wearing one to make him believe otherwise. It’s a rather cute image, though: The cat pin you would wear, colourful as it could be, on him and his monochrome uniform. While it may not make him look any more intimidating, the look on your face as you almost squeal at him is enough for him to keep wearing them. Depending on what kind of material they are made of, their motive or image as well as the quantity, Batter might actually gain some bonus from wearing them. That’s just the way his world works.

Now, if you show him some pride pins, he won’t know the meaning behind them, at all, thinking they’re just some pretty colours and colour palettes mixed together to form another pretty pin of yours. Again, you would need to explain their purpose and meaning as he is not well versed in most things from our world. Chances are, you’ll have to explain to him what a turtle or a frog is as well. However, once you do, while I don’t think it would impact him as greatly as other people, he would be happy to wear the pins you give him that would click with him. Then again, you’ll likely have to enlighten him on sex, gender, attraction and the likes. However, he is more than happy to spend time with and learn from you. Even if it means looking a bit silly and having Zacharie laugh at him.
