Aya doesn’t want to be consumed by her hatred and her anger. She wishes she could still be a good wife to Bayek, who’s probably the best man in the entire world. She wants to be the woman she was before Khemu was even born. But being a mother changed her forever, and her son is now gone. He was taken away for no reason. She just wanted her boy; she just wanted a happy family with the man she loved. Maybe it was too much to ask for.

She listens to Kassandra’s words, then nods. It feels good, to have someone who understands her anger at her side. Aya feels like she can openly talk about how she’s feelings for the first time. “I think I understand what you mean,” she assures, even if it seems IMPOSSIBLE right now to move on from this anger. “I just... Emotions can be tools, sharpened and utilized as a means to an end. Anger can be shaped and turned into a blade that cuts and slices through those that wronged her. Her anger had cut a swathe through the Cult and the Order. A bloody trail had followed her wherever she went and she can’t say that her anger didn’t help her carry through on it.

As Aya hands it to her, Kassandra can’t help but to turn it over in her hands, treating it like something precious. She’d learned to make her own hidden blade from him. A parting gift before he left with Elpidios. The look on her face grows distant for a moment, lost in memories long ago. “It’s exactly how I remember it. Kind of hard to forget it when it’s aimed at your throat.” She hands it back to Aya. “You already are.”

Sometimes, Aya wonders who she is anymore, without this anger. She keeps hoping that, once she’ll be reunited with Bayek, she’ll be back to herself, but she’s SCARED at the same time. What if she truly can’t be the same woman again ? She lost her son. She wants everyone to pay for that. She needs to deal with the men who killed her innocent boy. Why him, anyway ? She wishes she could find the answers, to all these questions.

There’s SADNESS on her features at Kassandra’s reaction. “He threatened you with it ?” she asks, a curious smirk crossing her features as she takes the hidden blade back. She shrugs, then looks away for a short moment. “I just... This anger. Sometimes, I feel like it’s all I am now,” she admits with a sigh as her eyes come back on Kassandra. // @ofspvrta​

You're not imagining it -- reblog notifications are broken.

Tumblr's most recent update made it so you will no longer receive notifications in your activity feed when you reblog or interact with your own posts. This is a fine idea, but it has a major issue. If you reblog a post that was originally yours from another person, neither you nor the person you reblogged from will be notified.

Let's say Person A makes a starter, and Person B reblogs it with a reply -- Person A will be notified of that reblog. Then Person A reblogs that from Person B to add their own reply -- Tumblr recognizes this as Person A interacting with their own post, so Person A won't be notified, but neither will Person B.

Considering that interaction I just described is the backbone of roleplaying on this site, this is a problem -- it means that any threads you're involved in that your partner wrote the starter for won't notify you correctly. It is incredibly easy to miss replies when this is happening.

I truly believe this was just an oversight and not done intentionally, but it should still be fixed. I have filled out a support form with staff informing them of the issue and I recommend that you do the same. Please remember to be polite! Simply explain what the issue is and why it's a problem. You can even link them to this post if you want.

In the meantime, the best method to avoid this is to @-mention your partner in replies, so that it will still show up in their activity feed no matter what. You can also use RPThreadTracker to keep an eye on your replies and make sure you don't miss anything.
