Okay, so thereās millions of stories people could tell supporting why representation is so important, but today Iām gonna share mine. I was twelve when I first realized I liked girls and I was very confused. I had a boyfriend at the time and I thought I liked him so I didnāt understand how I could also like a girl. I didnāt know about bisexuality. I thought there was gay or straight and thatās it. Iād heard the term bisexual before, but it was always said with such distaste and judgement that I saw it as a bad thing. I thought bisexuals were slutty and greedy and all they wanted was sex with anyone they could get their hands on, but that wasnāt how I saw myself. So I felt alone and I thought there was no one like me. Then my friend starting telling me about a singer she started listening to, Mika. She went on and on telling me every detail about his songs, and then she mentioned that he was bisexual. (I know thatās not how he identifies anymore, but this was a few year ago.) Suddenly, my interests were perked. She thought it was wonderful and so interesting that he could love anymore, no matter there gender. So I looked him up and I was so happy to see that there were actual decent people who were bisexual. A stumbled upon an article he was in (I think it was buzzfeed like 23 artists you didnāt know were bi or something like that idk lol) and I found out that Billie Joe Armstrong was also bisexual. That was someone everyone I knew had heard of. My parents listened to him. He couldnāt possibly be a bad person. From that article I also found out Brendon Urie was bi. A lot of my friends had starting listening to Panic! At The Disco that year, so I assumed he had to be a good person too, if so many of my friends liked his music. So I didnāt think bisexuals were automatically so terrible and I didnāt feel so alone, all because there were people like me that I could look up to. I think I listened to Coming Clean (by Green Day) more than any other songs that year. It just felt nice to know there were people or there who felt the same way I did. I wouldāve had a much harder time coming to terms with who I was had it not been for these artists that I could relate with. Thatās why representation matters to me. I encourage anyone who sees this (and actually bothered to read till the end) to write their story on how representation helped them.

How can someone be nonbinary and a woman? Doesn't nonbinary mean someone isn't a woman or a man? (I'm not trying to be rude I'm just uninformed and confused)
Gentle reminder
Nonbinary trans women are just as valid as binary trans women

So...I think Collin/Jamie happened at some point.
Granted, we havenāt even seen Collin all that much, but itās just an impression I get (in all my third re-read over thinking things).
And now, on to the āevidenceā.
āā¦letās just say his tastes run darker than youād expect.ā - Collin to Charlie, page 53. Given that Collin is kind of punk/scene? Yeah, no subtext there, is there?
āIām helping Jamie, too.ā - Again, to Charlie, page 55.
āHeāll just use you and toss you aside like youāre fucking nothing.ā - Jamie to Charlie, page 58. Speaking from experience, are we?
Plusā¦thereās been a lot of hints about Jamie being a closeted bisexual (albeit one with a fuckload of internalized homophobia courtesy of his childhood from hell), and whether heād admit or not, heās got eough baggage that heās actually really vulnerable imo, and we know Collinās older (him and Kelly are at Uni while the rest of the main cast are doing their a-levels, unless Iām mistaken), and I think Collinās probably the sort of guy who flirts with anything, and pretty little hopelessly-in-denial Jamie ended up being (unintentially) strung along by him.
And now Collin feels horrible about it because he didnāt realise that it actually meant something to Jamie, and is trying to fix him up with Charlie because itās his way of saying sorry.
Okay, I just made up an entire backstory from some probably-not-even-there subtext. I seriously need a life.
