Ninjago: Legacy Update!

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the delay with the last three chapters!

Life happened. I quit my job. I got a new job. My dogs got sick. I got sick. My friend got hospitalized for a bit (they're fine now!). I signed up for college. It's been a rough and weird April.

I am going through final edits now to get everything posted before mid-May or early June.

With everything changing, I may not do a schedule when it comes to season two later this year.

Hey all!

The last 3 chapters of Ninjago: Legacy will be delayed and posted all together some time near the end of March and beginning of April.

I have been dealing with personal stuff and have had no time to edit Chapter 11 or even begin Chapters 12 and 13. So nothing is ready...

I do apologize for this delay.

After some development, HERE'S NERDY AND HER FAMILY!

Nerdy (real name: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛)

-pop troll, was once Brozone's neighbor

-was born in the Pop Tree and was 6 y/o's at the time of the Great Escape. Her parents handed her off to the first group that took most of the young ones in the night. She didn't see them after that night until years later.

-before the escape, she was a neighbor of Brozone. she is a few months older than Branch, 11 years younger than Floyd, 12 years younger than Clay, 14 years younger than Bruce, and 19 years younger than John Dory. (JD is 39, Bruce is 34, Clay is 32, Floyd is 31, and Branch is 24 by the time she meets them again after TBT)

-was taken alongside a more nomadic group of trolls, those that wanted exploration instead of hiding

-crossed paths with some odd looking trolls and snuck on to their transport around the age of 7, was quickly taken under the care of them

-likes to sing, but only in private. nowadays, she hums pop songs and rock songs.

-underwent a gray period. only regaining muted colors after Barb's World Tour.

Lynyrd (pronounced Leonard)

-eldest, descendant of pop-rock trolls, Nerdy's adoptive dad

-rock troll, was on a journey of self discovery with his sister when he encountered the new Pop Village

-adopted Nerdy after she snuck aboard their bus, living that single dad life

-plays the guitar and bass

-raised Nerdy to have no full trust in higher ups but still have respect for King Thrash and Princess Barb aka will respect authority but not give blind trust. was silently against Barb's idea of destroying other genres, but never spoke up.

Blondie (real name: Dolores)

-Lynyrd's little sister, hates her real name, descendant of pop-rock trolls, Nerdy's adoptive aunt

-plays the drums, is in a girl band

-was the one to find Nerdy in their storage, (worried they had accidentally kidnapped someone's kid), heavily against keeping her but ended up spoiling her rotten

Some key things:

-some pop trolls were able to avoid Bergen detection before Bergensville was built around the tree

-Lynyrd's and Blondie's parents were PopRock Trolls

-Pop and Rock are sister genres, that's why the tribes look so similar compared to the others

Notes from Ninjago: Restoration

Subject: Heights

In the Beginning...

Zane was built tall. There's no changing that. Though tall, he is graceful in his steps as he fights. He uses this calming nature of his to counteract his intimidating presence when the team speaks to people.

Cole and Jay somewhat tie for second place.

Cole is taller by two inches. Though he usually looks shorter to people since he stands at the back of the group, he uses this misconception to his advantage on multiple occasions.

Jay is your average, run of the mill, height guy. Many people don't suspect him of much because of his stature and size, but he is one of the most dangerous elements on the team. He is usually the one at the front of the group, talking side by side with Zane to get information to bring ease to their target.

Kai is the shortest of the four ninja. Due to his upbringing, Kai didn't really get all of the nutrients need for a growing boy who also worked in a smithy. His smith master did his best to feed him the right amount, but Kai has a fast metabolism because of his element. Think HTTYD 1 Hiccup, but a smidge shorter.

Nya was the shortest of the group until Lloyd arrived. Much like Kai's situation, Nya did get all she needed as a growing girl and never really asked for excess. Her metabolism wasn't as fast, but she hardly ever felt hungry for large protions.

Lloyd's eight, of course he's the shortest. He's tall for an eight-year-old, but that can be chalked up to his dad's genetics.

Been in a rut with my art lately, so I did a bit of challenge searching. @bosusdopi posted their own 12 days challenge and I thought it'd be a good one to test if I could even do this every day.

However, instead of doing it as an OTP, I did my OCs! I mean, they technically ARE an OTP right?

One thing I love about the Trolls fandom is that there is - somehow- a silent agreement that John Dory has like seven husbands or thirty exes.

Like the man gets around but doesn't stay around.

Trolls Headcannons (Tribe Leaders Edition)

°None of the tribes knew of the near extinction of the Pop Trolls until their first visit to Pop Village. None of them could believe that the once feared tribe were whittled down to a couple hundred. Their respect for Poppy and Branch continued to rise after learning about what they did.

°The tribes are more technologically advanced than the pop trolls in various ways. Many chalk it up to the tribe's years in isolation. The country trolls, being closer in technology, helped them ease into the new age.

Delta Dawn

°Delta doesn't fully enjoy the pop sound, but is slowly coming around due to "cross-overs" occurring between tribes. She does enjoy Poppy's company as a fellow leader though, even giving her advice on how to handle more serious cases cause of her status as Sheriff.

°Delta isn't a natural red head. She was born teal to match her tail, but believed the colors didn't convince people she was leader material. She turned it red to be taken more seriously, but left her tail alone.

°Delta's niece, Clampers, isn't allowed with the pop trolls alone due to all the candy lying around. Delta can barely wrangle her as is. She doesn't need that job being any harder.

King Quincy & Queen Essence

°The Royal Couple spent a majority of their search for Cooper in the confines of Vibe City. They sent out scouts rather than searching themselves out of fear of the pop trolls.

°Queen Essence handles most of the inner conflicts of Vibe City as well as piloting the place to the next location. She is the main go-to when it comes to large arguments on the dance floor.

°King Quincy oversees all of the music production. He felt a bit of pride when Prince D started developing a new subgenre. He works with his kingdom's scientists to see about the technological developments.

King Trollex

°Trollex always has his little buddy with him wherever he goes. They function like a service animal, reminding Trollex that he needs to get submerged for a few minutes to prevent shocking his body. Though he can function in and out of the water, Trollex's body is too used to being submerged.

°Trollex works with Prince D, Brozone, and Barb to make remixes and work on music production. He helps with the recording process and mixing over anything else.

°Trollex helped set up a few technological items in Pop Village, alongside King Quincy. These items made inter-tribe communication easier and quicker than sending a bat or a bird.

Trollzart

°Trollzart is slightly deaf in one ear due to baby classicals/instruments playing pranks on him and aiming for his ear. He was gifted a set of earplugs one holiday season as a joke from Barb.

°Trollzart enjoys working with the funk and pop trolls, but only those who respect his music rather than butchering the melody.

°Trollzart hardly ever uses his legs due to constantly flying around, so there's little strength in them. He and many other classical trolls will seek help from a funk troll or catch a ride on many of the helpful animals in the Pop Forest.

Barb

°Barb and other rock trolls went on an "apology tour" and rebuilt the damage they caused. It took several months to get most of the major buildings done, but all the base construction was done within a year. The decorating was left to the tribes.

°Barb brought out a new side to Poppy, encouraging her to be more flirty with her boyfriend. Whether or not this was a good idea is debated, but she can confidentially say from observation that Branch doesn't mind.

°Barb took lessons from the pop trolls on utilizing their hair control to constantly update her looks for concerts. She's particularly fond of the multi-colored mohawk-mullet combo.
